  1. Anyone have a new link for Gloria so I can also have neko ears in my roster? (current links are down for her, only available download is on MA unfortunately, haven't found any other links updated) UPDATE: After a LOT of digging around, found this link to Gloria, but I'm not sure if it is an updated version or not. I'm going to assume it is the most recent version, just without the Pure Silver Mode unlocked. Anyways, here's a link (unless you want to get the one off of MA) Gloria (12/06/17)
  2. Download link is broken, anyone have an update so I can also have neko ears? UPDATE: All I could find was a link to what I'm assuming to be the most recent version of this character, just without the Pure Silver Mode unlocked. Gloria (12/06/17)
  3. Real talk, always remember to make a backup of your stuff.
  4. He looks interesting, I'll be sure to run him through my gauntlet of testing and get back to you today or some time tomorrow. Either way, this looks like a very promising creation. Update: So far, he seems to be fully playable, I haven't noticed any bugs or errors yet. As for the whole "sprite boxes not being accurate thing", it also doesn't seem noticeable, but maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. Overall, a very good creation!
  5. Shin Akuma (Reu Style) edit Unfortunately I don't remember who made this, but someone did an edit of Shin Akuma with a Reu Style edit, and while the character itself is really good, ya know, it plays good, it feels good to use and watch, the AI isn't aggressive enough. I'll be honest, AI is the one thing that makes or breaks a character for me, I love it when the AI is relentless and unforgiving. Obviously, too cheap will be un-enjoyable, but when the AI gives you a run for your money, then its a beautiful experience, which is why Vyn is one of my favorites, his AI edits are so freaking good.
  6. I mean, it really depends on your ability to tolerate flaws. If you've been spoonfed in MUGEN this entire time with outstanding creators like OHMSBY, Gui0007, Mr. Giang, PotS, and others of a similar nature... you'll have a hard time accepting to even being willing to accept any creators like Chuchoryu, Armin_Luf, or Joey Faust, as these people are part of that "undesirable" quality. Its the flaws in the creations that make people go "EWWW, it isn't perfect the way I want it!". There are a lot of "undesirable" creators, but I look at it this way... its like Real Games vs Bootleg Games. Bootleg games have a certain quality of content that only some people can truly appreciate, despite them being undesirable. You have to look at it with a level of curiosity that says "hey, this isn't what I wanted, but I do want to see what it is about". When you can do that, you'll realize that even some "bad" creations, really aren't bad, and much of the upset is coming from people who are so used to being fed from a silver spoon (being given characters with such high quality), that they can't appreciate something for what it is, rather than what it isn't. The best way to look at it is this... watch a YouTube video on the game The Beginner's Guide, its a dialogue based informational kind of game where the creator of it tells a (fake) story about him knowing someone who made all sorts of bizarre and unwanted games, and his ability to appreciate these games for what they are, rather than criticize them from what they are not. That's kind of the logic you need to have when looking at characters. Like yeah, should a character's quality be improved? Of course. But should creators be bashed for being terrible at what they do? Nah. The job of the higher-ups and the skilled is to help, to give people the motivation and confidence to actually do something better, to do something more. But if all you do is tell these people "your work is shit! nobody likes it! stop what you're doing!" and spread that mentality to others because of your ability to influence, it doesn't make things better.
  7. Yo, where can I get that MFFA stage? It would be a great addition to my roster of only site and location based stages. UPDATE Got the stage from a YouTube link http://www.mediafire.com/file/iqynm5qiulh/VP_MFFA_HQ.rar/file
  8. There are quite a few, most of them tend to be the SF3 edits and CvS edits, as a lot of them tend to have quite the impressive AI. But overall, you won't find many characters that can guard all manners of attack, depending on how they are a created. I mean, overall, many attacks, regardless of where they take place, all really fall into is the attack facing the same direction as the block. In other words, if someone is attacking from the left, and you are blocking from the left, you'll most likely end up blocking it regardless of whether or not it is in the air, in the middle of the screen, or on the ground. Not many characters have a very sophisticated blocking system that requires blocking specific sections, but instead, block an entire direction. So overall, yeah... pretty much any and all characters tend to be able to block all at once, but very few are designed to actually block all at once.
  9. The sad thing about the stick figure characters, is that most of them are REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY amateur. Like, the only good ones I've seen are the ones that are either super broken, are memes, or are based off of actual stick figure characters like Xiao Xiao. There were a few made by Angous and MediaTaffy, as well as the ones made for Fatal Art that are really good, but unfortunately, Angous and MediaTaffy's ones having missing sprites that need replaced (which is easy to do, but I'm terrible at making characters, so I wouldn't want to ruin the work) and Fatal Art's characters don't work with regular MUGEN (at least... 99.9% of the time they don't).
  10. Unfortunately, I didn't get the memo at that time, but thank you nonetheless.
  11. This character looks fascinating, but I'm not gonna lie, I also would like the information on the other character too as well. He looks like Mukai, but... cooler in a way. Any links to him as well?
  12. I'm confused, didn't this already exist? I take it, this has been updated or something?
  13. All of Pre-To's characters tend to be brutal at times Dragon-Ken by Kotori is brutal Any character with the Vensen AI tends to be brutal All of Mulambo's Street Fighter and King of Fighters edits/full games are full of brutal characters, and often super cheap as all hell KAZ's (not Kamekaze, just KAZ) Chun-Li, Morrigan, and other edits are brutal as all hell as well, but are pretty hefty in file size, so be prepared for that Beter-Hans' edits of Chun-Li, Ryu, Ken, and especially Akuma are brutal, Akuma being the more difficult of them all, as he has a self-revival (similar to Gill, but without being able to stop it) Omega God Ken & Omega God Ryu are brutal The entire collection of SaltyBet/SpriteClub/etc (betting sites) characters are almost always brutal or broken or ridiculously difficult to fight There are multiple Ronald McDonald edits that are brutal as all hell and some are even unbeatable There's Chuck Norris (a hittable version) that is still difficult as all hell to defeat Rare Akuma (or Rare Akuma LVL2, if you don't want him to be pretty much unbeatable) Most characters with "God", "Omega", or something similar tend to be brutal, or just BS Most Orochi/Mizuchi edits are brutal or cheap RAHLONNIR's Beerus is difficult as all hell Nightmare Broly SSJ3 is difficult as all hell as well The classic God Rugal has a pretty sufficient AI and can take down a good number of players with ease, although I'm sure there is a "God" version of God Rugal that makes the AI even more BS Its not difficult to find cheap characters, in fact, a good number of people that don't know how to make characters, generally just make cheap ones because its easier to spam nonsense, than it is to actually plan out sophisticated attacks and skill sets.
  14. In case anyone was wondering the way to port any of Super Fighter's characters from any of their MUGEN based games into regular mugen is to simply copy the .st file or basically the commons file for their game, then remove all the characters that the file isn't meant for... in other words, copy the file multiple times, then remove the characters that the file isn't meant to represent. So for example, if you copy over Deitrich/Wacker, then you would remove everyone else mentioned in the ST file except for Deitrich/Wacker's crap. Or, you could actually just copy the default mugen 1.0's common1.st/common.cns/common.st file (whatever it is called) and rename it to be usable for each character. However, doing this will remove the ability for any of the characters to use specials or have any special cutscenes or ending scenes. It basically makes every character a simple 4-button/6-button character, and nothing else.
  15. First off, mad respect for James to even bother making these characters. Secondly, a huge thanks to GUI0007, Giang, and others that helped update this. Y'all did a fantastic job!
  16. This looks like another one of those "pretty to watch" characters. Kind of curious how she plays. Time to download.
  17. Thanks for sharing, this will make a nice addition to my roster.
  18. Real talk, this needs more roster slots. Other than that, great screenpack.
  19. This is an original character? Quite impressive! Looks really good based on what I've seen. I shall be adding it to my roster.
  20. Thanks for the update/edit. Its always nice to see improvements.
  21. This character looks interesting, guess I'm adding it to my ever-growing roster.
