Option 3 would have been better

The problem with Option 3 is that you end up banning otherwise legitimate uses of Baton Pass outside of full Baton Pass teams, like Quickpassing Scolipede and Dualscreens Espeon, the latter of which uses Baton Pass exclusively to bypass Pursuit.

Did you even follow the link?

It's for those who want to help out by emulating Diamond/Pearl on their PCs, capturing the packets, and then uploading them to get a better understanding of how the official server worked so that DSes can connect to the new one

http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/xy-ou-suspect-process-round-4-voting.3511402/

I'll keep the thread open in case people who haven't voted yet want to vote to qualify for TC, but the future votes don't matter towards the result.

We had 85 qualified voters with a 60% requirement to ban, meaning 51 votes needed to ban.

At the moment, Deoxys-D has 66 ban votes and Deoxys-S has 67 ban votes, so both are easily banned with at worst (assuming the remaining votes are all no ban) 78% and 79% percentage supermajorities.

Thanks for participating and/or following the suspect test.

We'll have this reflected in our showdown server and appropriate OU tournaments ASAP.

Wow, they ban Pokemon who aren't even that broken, and yet REFUSE to ban Kyurem-B. People do realise that King's Shield only protects against attacks, right? It has no defense against Will-O-Wisp or Taunt or other things.

You may be thinking I'm weird, but truth be told I really haven't had that many problems fighting Aegislash. But Kyurem-B seems almost unbeatable, and the only times I actually HAVE beaten it is if I got lucky. Plus, from what I know, Kyurem-B only has a few counters.

Kyurem-B isnt broken, and most Aegislash always run Sp.Atk investment so burn is a non-issue.

Speaking of counters for Kyurem-B:

Checks and Counters

########

**Super effective priority**: Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor and Mach Punch from Conkeldurr and Breloom can fell slightly weakened Kyurem-B if it's not behind a Substitute.

**Mixed walls**: Pokemon such as Chansey, Ferrothorn, Tyranitar, Assault Vest Conkeldurr, and Assault Vest Excadrill that have good mixed bulk handle the Substitute set well. However, they have to watch out for Outrage and some even Dragon Claw, and Ferrothorn with 128 Special Defense EVs cannot even be 2HKOed by Life Orb Ice Beam.

**Fast Fighting- and Dragon-types**: Latios, Latias, Terrakion, Keldeo, and Garchomp can all revenge kill Kyurem-B, forcing it out or eliminating it if it's locked into Outrage and not hiding behind a Substitute.

**Stealth Rock**: Kyurem-B's weakness to Stealth Rock means that if you can keep it up, it loses 25% of its HP upon switching in. This limits its number of switch-in opportunities and wears it down extremely fast, making it easier to handle overall.

**Status**: Prankster Will-O-Wisp from the likes of Mega Banette and Sableye limits Kyurem-B's potency to an extent due to neutering Fusion Bolt and Outrage. Non-Prankster Will-O-Wisp users are generally KOed or would rather attack it, so they're not very significant. Toxic makes it faint extremely quickly if it stays in, wearing it down especially quickly with Life Orb and possible Stealth Rock damage. Paralysis makes it much easier to deal with, too, as it allows the large range of Pokemon outsped by Kyurem-B to hit it first.

**Fairy-types**: In particular, physically defensive Clefable and are immune to Outrage and generally handle Kyurem-B well. Both can handle the Substitute and specially based mixed sets decently, and Sylveon and Mega Gardevoir can even hit it behind its Substitute because Hyper Voice ignores it. However, Iron Head and for all but Clefable invested Fusion Bolt will send them packing.

I count a total of 21 checks & counters in there.

Except most of those don't even work half the time. I've tried many of them, and so far none of them have actually worked every time. Kyurem-B usually kills most of that before they even get a chance. Sometimes I feel like people make-up counters just to justify not banning them.

Um.. these checks/counters have been tried and true. Maybe youre just not using them properly? Kyurem-B IS a wallbreaker, after all. Its primary purpose in OU is to break down walls and other defensive Pokemon.

Speaking of banning stuff, Haxorus is currently undergoing a suspect test for UU, so it may end up becoming BL.

Oh and apparently some minor tier changes due to bans:

065-m.pngUU -> BL

065.png UU -> UU (No Change)

637.pngUU -> BL

213.pngRU -> BL2

Shadow Tag -> Banned from UU and lower

Drizzle -> Banned from UU and lower

Drought -> Banned from UU and lower

Did you use them in a way that would actually defeat Kyurem or just switch them in and hope for the best?

So me and a few others started thinking: What if every fully evolved Pokemon that wasnt already OU or has a Mega Evolution has its base stat total no less than 480? Would that affect their current viability?

Just to provide some examples:

250px-319Sharpedo.png

HP: 70 -> 75 (+5)
Atk: 120 -> 125 (+5)
Def: 40 -> 40 (+0)
SpAtk: 95 -> 100 (+5)
SpDef: 40 -> 40 (+0)
Speed: 95 -> 100 (+5)

Total: 460 -> 480

Assuming even spreads (480 - 460 / 6) = 3.333 = 3~4. Just to give an idea of how this affects the max stats at level 100 (assuming neutral nature, max IVs, and max EVs):

HP: 334 -> 344 (+10)
Atk: 339 -> 349 (+10)
Def: 179 -> 179 (+0)
SpAtk: 289 -> 299 (+10)
SpDef: 179 -> 179 (+0)
Speed: 289 -> 299 (+10)

And another (this one a bit more streamlined since Gamefreak/Nintendo likes to work with multiples of 5):

250px-219Magcargo.png

HP: 50 -> 60 (+10)
Atk: 50 -> 60 (+10)
Def: 120 -> 140 (+20)
SpAtk: 80 -> 95 (+15)
SpDef: 80 -> 95 (+15)
Speed: 30 -> 30 (+0)

Total: 410 -> 480 (+70)

HP: 304 -> 324 (+20)
Atk: 199 -> 219 (+20)
Def: 339 -> 359 (+40)
SpAtk: 259 -> 289 (+30)
SpDef: 259 -> 289 (+30)
Speed: 159 -> 159 (+0)

EDIT:

250px-201Unown.png

HP: 48 -> 69 (+21)
Atk: 72 -> 102 (+30)
Def: 48 -> 69 (+21)
SpAtk: 72 -> 102 (+30)
SpDef: 48 -> 69 (+21)
Speed: 48 -> 69 (+21)

Total: 336 -> 480 (+144)

HP: 300 -> 342 (+42)

Atk: 243 -> 303 (+60)

Def: 195 -> 237 (+42)

SpAtk: 243 -> 303 (+60)

SpDef: 195 -> 237 (+42)

Speed: 195 -> 237 (+42)

Give this thing a Choice Scarf and.... Hidden power? IDK

No, I'm pretty sure I've been using those "counters" properly. It just seems people can't do without these OP Pokemon, so they pretend they are not. I still find it odd that Pokemon like Aegislash and Deoxys-Defense that aren't even that hard to deal with (At least I've had little problems fighting them), yet Pokemon that are next to impossible to beat like Heatran and Kyurem-B are supposedly not despite they have few counters. ...And a lot of the counters they DO have can usually be worked around, even if it's with other Pokemon.
