Hello everyone,
I'd like to introduce to you all my idea for a screenpack. I got bored at work the other day and came up with this. Normally, I scrap ideas as soon as they come to fruition because they're just not good enough, but this one I really wanted to stick with after comping up a prototype in PS. Without further ado, I give you the workings of Pixel Fighter:

Features and plans:
- Cycling background colors
- New-age pixel style with modern color scheme
- Animated transitions
- Background and foreground element animations
- Mugen 1.1 32-bit source graphics, meaning no color loss
- HD 1280x720
- Matching lifebars with possible custom fightfx effects to match the style
- 800+ character slot variant
- Chiptune-like/synthesized music and UI sfx

That's it for now, but I plan to keep this thread update. Let me know what you think. I really like the idea and hope to let this see the light of day.

I love the retro feel to these stages. They're a bit stretched, the original size was 382x186 so I made it to be 382x240. I hope this doesn't prevent MOST people from downloading these stages. There is no animation or anything of the sorts, all 9 stages were just a single image that spriters-resource had. without further ado, here are some pics!

The home stage to those Simokin characters in the fullgame. Much like the characters, this stage is pretty funny, too. I'm pretty sure that's Mountainside Temple's floor, too... It also has parallax. The background has the only animation, next to some guy who appears in the corner when you go to the right. The music here fits the stage well, and is really... uhhhh... Anyway, the only reason I put "Slightly NSFW", is due to how phallic some of the things look in the background, but it's probably intended anyway.

Another personal edit of mine. Does use Add004 Fonts for select screen because I'm obsessed with them. <3

I really just loved H-Loader's original concept.
Much respect to him, as he inspired me to create this edit.
I just wanted to share this with everybody here who's just as lazy as me.

Finally after almost 3 years of work I've finally finished Zangief and added everything I wanted from when I first started on him.
I don't want to say i'm proud of myself, but I kinda am. Anyway, let me know if you come across any bugs, so I can squash them asap.
I have also updated Zangief's USSR stages. Note that you cannot perform the Molten Metal Finisher on the Champion Edition stage, but the other fisher should work fine.
