The Staff Directory has also been updated, and top panel's Get MUGEN button now features the 4 main Mugen builds and Fighter Factory 3 for download. The idea is to make a single weekly post in the News section that links to all the releases submitted from throughout the week. Sort of a 'one stop download shopping' for the week. A pinned top post will encourage members to contribute things like coding tips, character / stage reviews, funnies (gif, vids, etc), interviews, links to hot discussions or whatever else they're inspired to. The News Mod(s) will just be picking what to use and assembling it at the end of each week. The front page of the forum will have an updating box in the side panel that will link to the 3 latest 'issues' - Weekly Mugen News Mod Positions: We're hoping to find about a 2 (or more) person news crew to put together the Weekly News, and moderate the news board. That basically just means gathering all the member submissions at the end of the week and putting them into a single post. From there you can add in whatever you want from the list of suggestions below, or whatever else you can think of. And we'll encourage members to contribute as well. Funny gifs, quick articles, anything you / they want. It should be fun. If this sounds like something you would enjoy doing, please let us know on this thread! Anyway, some possible ideas for content, aside from release submissions: - Funny gifs (for a funnies section?) - Character / stage reviews - Quality offsite releases - Character strategy guides - Interviews - Links to current discussions on the forum - Featured Wip - Whatever else you can think of. Lot of room to get creative with it. - SEASONAL ONLINE TOURNAMENTS Sept 14, 2016 (COMING SOON) Spoiler This year In December we'll be kicking off MFFA's Seasonal Online Mugen Tournaments. They'll be going on once per season, or 4 times a year, and they'll last about a month. During the tourney there will also be voting for CotQ and SotQ as well. Each tournament will have a different theme for the 8 character roster and 8 stages it showcases. A Dragonball theme for example. Characters and themes can be suggested and discussed by anyone, but it's ultimately up to the tournament staff to decide. There will be 8 sign-up slots available to members, and each match will be decided by the best 2 out of 3 fights. They will be recorded and shared by tournament staff on a central thread where anyone can watch and comment. We're looking to take on a 3 person tournament team for this, so if you're interested check out the mod openings below. Here's a look at the yearly tournament schedules:- MFFA Spring Mugen Tournament Last 2 weeks of March - Sign-ups and nominations All of April - Tournament and voting - MFFA Summer Mugen Tournament Last 2 weeks of June - Sign-ups and nominations All of July - Tournament and voting - MFFA Fall Mugen Tournament Last 2 weeks of September - Sign-ups and nominations All of October - Tournament and voting - MFFA Annual Championship Winter Mugen Tournament All of December - Sign-ups and nominations All of January - Tournament and voting Tournament Mod Positions: To make the tournaments happen we're going to need about a 3 person team. 1 person to handle member sign-ups, and CotQ & SotQ nominations and voting. 1 person to handle the ikemen build. And 1 person to coordinate / schedule the fights for the members, and making sure they're connected with a tourney staff member for screen sharing / recording. Each seasonal tournament will have it's own roster theme. The themes and rosters will ultimately be chosen by the tournament staff as a group. The discussions will be public tho, so people will have a chance to suggest characters, talk about their fairness, suggest themes etc. Here's a look at the timeline for a tournament 1) Two weeks before tourney month starts - Tournament sign-ups begin, and nominations for CotQ and SotQ begin. 2) Day one of tourney month - Fights begin, and CotQ and SotQ voting begin. 3) Throughout tourney month - members compete with one another in a standard 8 person tournament, where best of 3 fights advances each fight is screen shared with a member of the tournament crew, who records it (no lopsided lag) and uploads it 4) Last day of tourney month - championship fight is posted. Winners of the tournament, Character of the Quarter and Stage of the Quarter are announced. And that's the process at a glance. If it sounds like something you could get into, please let us know on this thread. - TOUHOU ONLINE GRAND TOURNAMENT Sept 14, 2016 Spoiler @Ricepigeon is having a Touhou Online Grand Tournament, and sign-ups have already started! 8 slots are available in total, so if you're into it you might want to get on it quickly Sign up or read more about it on the main thread. Galvatron, Infinite Kyo, SSBKing65✯ and 3 others 6 ~ℛ.ℳ.ℋ.

White Ranger Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 @RobotMonkeyHead Is it still possible to add a link to a GIF? I can't seem to figure this out.

Anything under Collections? I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd certainly be happy to have you on board. The top post is updated with better descriptions of the mod positions we're looking for, but if you'd rather work on the collections board, I can see if Ryoucci wouldn't mind you answering to him? Either way, check out the top post tho and let me know what you're interested in :)@White Ranger If it doesn't automatically embed when you paste the link, try the Insert Media Embedded button: White Ranger 1 ~ℛ.ℳ.ℋ.
White Ranger Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 @RobotMonkeyHead I use to be able to just double click the image and a window pop up then just add a link, but now all I get are options to change the size of the image. Using that button just adds a download link in words, it doesn't add it to the image. No big deal though, I can always add the link in the character names, but, now I've run into a major issue, I can make changes to the collections I've done, but when I click the edit topic button it loads for about 30 seconds, then displays a 405 error, saying I don't have permission to perform this action. What do you think is wrong.
AxSeeker Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Great improvements, the forum will benefit greatly from features like these.
RobotMonkeyHead Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 @Big Green alright good sir, welcome aboard! Ryoucci said he'd be happy to have you as a helping hand in the collections thread, sooo looks like we have a new Vault Keeper! Ryoucci's pretty much going to be your go to guy / the person you'll be answering to mainly as of now, if that's ok with you? (I'll get the stylized title text added under your name soon, I just gotta figure out some details about that font.)@White Ranger Are you still getting the issue? At this point double clicking on an embed image should produce a dialogue box like this: As far as the slow loading stuff, did you try clearing the cache and cookies? ~ℛ.ℳ.ℋ.
White Ranger Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 @RobotMonkeyHead I actually did double click the image, but that isn't the box that appears, the link URL isn't even displayed, just a URL that displays the source of the image, along with alternate text, then size and alignment, replacing the URL with the download link deletes the image in the process. Also I did try deleting the cookies and cache, but the 405 Not Allowed error still occurs, and it also sign's me out automatically sometimes. Sorry if I'm getting on your nerves man, what do you think?
Kazagami Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 @RobotMonkeyHead I've been experiencing same problem when editing collections too. It keeps giving 405 error like @White Ranger mentioned. WaifuLaifu Discord Server / Twitter / MUGEN releases
RobotMonkeyHead Posted September 18, 2016 Author Posted September 18, 2016 I'm not sure what's happening, exactly. I'm able to edit that collection, it loads pretty quickly, the editors not to slow for me on the lower parts (though it is a little slow over all for my taste, might have to see about trimming it some). Did both of you guys try clearing the cookies and cache? Because I've added quite a few plugins and buttons over the last couple days... ~ℛ.ℳ.ℋ.
Kazagami Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Well let me re-word it. I'm able to edit and it loads normally indeed. But when i hit this button, it just kept loading and returning the 504 error. WaifuLaifu Discord Server / Twitter / MUGEN releases
White Ranger Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 @RobotMonkeyHead clearing the cookies and cache doesn't work either unfortunately :(
RobotMonkeyHead Posted September 18, 2016 Author Posted September 18, 2016 I just tried rebuilding the toolbar. Took out a couple buttons that might've been lagging it. Can you guys tell me if it works for you now? White Ranger 1 ~ℛ.ℳ.ℋ.
White Ranger Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 @RobotMonkeyHead I tried correcting a few typos in one of them, but clicking the edit topic button still gives a 405 not allowed error. :(
Kazagami Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 same here, i also already cleared cookies and cache, even tried another browser: WaifuLaifu Discord Server / Twitter / MUGEN releases
PlasmoidThunder Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 That's the same error I was getting way back before the whole forum kerfuffle. IIRC, it's where the forum can't process the large page size and effectively gives up trying to publish it. Project LG said: God knows you shit out characters like a friggin' gumball machine.
Ryon Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Hey guys... how do you get to that "Edit Topic" button, cause I looked all over and I don't see it? - Characters - / - Stages - / - Screenpacks - / - Lifebars - / - Fonts - / - Full Games - / - Templates -

RobotMonkeyHead Posted September 19, 2016 Author Posted September 19, 2016 I repaired and optimized all our databases last night, so I know it's not that. I could try stripping the editor down even more to the default buttons only and see if that works? Doesn't seem like it's going to do it honestly. I really want to get this thing fixed but, I'm starting to run low on ideas. * Attempts to summon @Алексей * Hello good sir, do you happen to have any ideas as to what might be causing this? I'm able to edit those threads no problem from my comp, but Ryoucci, White Ranger and GarchompMatt are all getting the same issue... ~ℛ.ℳ.ℋ.
Алексей Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 I did some tests and here were my results: - Attempt to edit DBZ collection: Failed with 405 - Attempt to edit Axel post (by me): Success - Attempt to edit Ryon's master collection thread (deleted all of it, muahaha): Success Note that in these tests I didn't actually modify any content, however I was able to get the error when editing the DBZ Collection. This leads me to believe that it's the size of the post that's causing it. -[Все слова это только слова.]-
White Ranger Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 I don't know, since I can't edit the Creepypasta collection either, and that's the smallest collection I've done so far. So if it's due to the size of the collection does this mean I'll have to do other collections of similar size in one sitting? Oh boy that'll be a chore when attempting Orochi/Mizuchi, and Donald(Ronald McDonald). Lol. Should I just create a part 2 for existing collections on a different page then?
Алексей Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Well I can't be sure, but 405 is an error that denotes that the current method attempted was not allowed, in this case POST. This is something controlled on the server side of things and thus in the forum software. Since we never had this issue before, my guess is that it's due to some extension that was installed. -[Все слова это только слова.]-
