Hey all, we wanted to give Rice a day for his departure before introducing our new Admin. Gumhoy comes to us from Sprite Club's g-mod crew, and after some discussion we feel like he's got a lot to bring to the table. We're looking forward to a few pretty big updates to the site coming from both him and myself, so keep an eye out for some fun changes in the near future! No spoilers yet tho. Hello all, We have some heavy news. Tonight we say goodbye to our veteran admin @RicePigeon As many of you already know, he's been considering stepping down for a while now, but he did us the solid favor of sticking around until we could find someone to take his place. Rice, we're grateful for that, and for all of your contributions to MFFA's upkeep and community management. So, for years in your g-mod role up until 2018, and then 7 years of impressively diligent administrative work, Thank you RicePigeon! Best wishes to you going forward, and know that as long as MFFA is around, you'll have a community that welcomes you.

He had each member of staff choose a few characters they liked, and compiled a list. Katie then came up with the basic layout, and animation idea. From there Logic Puzzle and Soren then created custom artwork for each character to fit the slats layout, including 3 original characters. Once all the artwork was finished, Katie animated the flip sequence, I added the scrolling text, and there you have it. MFFA's brand new, very own custom artwork banner! CHARACTERS Logic Puzzle's OC is named Marla. She wears glasses, has blond hair, and is holding the Sprite Club soap bar, 2nd one down in the center stack of horizontal tiles. Soren's OC is named Spritama. She has an red-orange top, blond har, and is the 4th one down in the center stack of tiles. RicePigeon's OC is named Miffa. She's MFFA's official mascot. She has blue hair and a French maid's outfit, and she can be seen in the 3rd tile down in the center stack. Chat her up any time in our Discord server, where she and her crew of chatbots have their own channel. As for which staff member chose which character, here's the list: Magic Toaster -> Cobra Plasmoid Thunder -> Pikaman Darkflare -> Akuma Katie -> Waha Dissidia -> Miku Meldo -> Jose RobotMonkeyHead -> Alucard Rice -> Reimu Laharl -> Kos-Mos (as well as the remaining characters, to represent a wide variety of franchises)

Been a couple years since I've added to this log, but there's been a -lot- of development in that time. Going to start from the most recent and work backwards from memory, and cover just the last couple months. CHANGES ON THE SITE - renamed [ MEMBER INTERESTS ] to [ GENERAL INTERESTS ] updated its description and renamed some of its sub-forums - added [ SPRTE CLUB ] main forum to the Mugen District on the front page, with its own sub forum setup. - @Arxos is the admin of the Sprite Club forum, and moderators there are currently @Mitsukai, @Brergrsart, @Crasherfly, and @Gumhoy - Added a topic to [ SITE OVERVIEW ] for how to get the a Discord chat popup button hovering in the corner of the site (for forum members only). - Overhauled the text editor, fixed some of the buttons having wrong icons, and balanced the presentation - Setting up security questions for two factor authentication is no longer mandatory. They can be enabled and disabled in Account Settings. - If security questions are enabled, they will no longer prompt you to answer them as often, only if you're logging in from a new device or updating accepted devices. - I rebuilt the Collections Directory, so it now has the option to sort by game type instead of just alphabetically. It also has an option to translate it to Japanese. - If we can find a person (or people) who speaks Spanish and is (are) willing to translate the names of the collections, I will add a Spanish translation option to the directory. - Updated many of the page tops, in various sub forums. [ MUGEN THEATER ] being one of the main ones. - The forum software is removing status updates in their next update, so those won't be coming back, as much as I would've loved to revive them. - Added more pixel art gifs to various sub-forums so all (or almost all?) level 2 sub forums now have an image associated with them. - Moved the [ RESOURCE ROOM ] out of [ THE WAREHOUSE ] and into [ CREATION LAB ] and renamed it to [ RESOURCE CENTER ]. - Added a [ ANNOUNCEMENTS [ to the [ COMMUNITY CENTER ] and a widget to the main page's sidebar, showing the 3 most recent announcements. - The announcements widget includes announcements from Sprite Club's [ ANNOUNCEMENTS ] sub-forum. - Fixed all the broken Onion Heads that were either missing backgrounds and removed a few that were odd resolutions. They're all no 50 x 50px. - Added some new Onion Heads: CHANGES ON DISCORD - Admins will no longer be moderating. That will be covered by the g-mods and discord mods. - We're in the process of mirroring the forums 10 point system on Discord, so there will be a wider, but more definite gradient to turn behavior around. - Wick Bot's settings were waay too strict, so its grip been loosened. I'd rather not say how exactly, but expect less random Robocop attacks. - We're trying a new Forum Updates bot that hopefully won't break as often as the old one did. - Posts made in the new [ ANNOUNCEMENTS ] forum auto-share to the Discord server's Announcements channel. - Sprite Club's staff have been given their respective roles in the Discord server. PEAK AT SOME UPCOMING CHANGES - Brand new banner is in the works. - Our forum's software provider decided to merge awards and badges. So the Onion Head tokens will be changing or vanishing soon to make room for an actual trophy system. - The video sharing page tops will be getting overhauled soon, to improve their functionality. The spoiler will also be removed once that's done. - Cleaning up many posts that are in the wrong sub forums. - A Sprite Club betting league is in the works. Hello Free For Allians and Sprite Club fans, We're excited to announce that MFFA is now hosting Sprite Club's forum! Their forum can be found on the front page in the Mugen District here, and is operated by their own staff. Drop in, say hi, bet on some Mugen AI matches, and talk to them about the possibility of setting up some custom tourneys. And over the next couple months, keep an eye out for the opening of a Sprite Club seasonal betting league on MFFA!

Setting up two factor authentication with security questions is no longer mandatory for all accounts. It's now optional, and can be enabled or disabled in your account settings. Furthermore, when they are enabled, the system will no longer ask you to answer them as often. It will only ask if you log in from an unknown device, or update your authorized devices.

I rebuilt the Collection's Directory page top so that it can now be sorted either alphabetically by name, or by game type, and this can be done in either English or Japanese. When you open the directory page top, you'll see the sort options just above the footer. Thanks to Laharl and Tako for the Japanese translations, and sorting our collections by game type. And a Huge thanks to Laharl and all of our Collections Curators for rebuilding our broken collections.

You can get our Discord server to pop up in a chat bubble in the lower right hand corner of the website. • HOW TO GET IT To do this, you need to be logged in, scroll to the bottom of any page on the site, and look for a drop down button labeled "Theme". Click on it and select the theme called Abyss - Discord Chat (Members Only). This version of the sites theme has a purple button with a Discord logo that hovers in the lower right hand corner of the page. • HOW TO USE IT To use it just click on it, and it will expand into a small chat window with MFFA's Discord server in it. To select a channel just click the 3 purple horizontal lines button in the upper left. To close it again, just click the X in the lower right. Very simple. You also need to be logged into your Discord account to use it. • HOW TO NOT ABUSE IT Please keep in mind it is possible for our staff to ban your access to our Discord server, if you abuse this feature. HOUSE CHOICE CREATOR ASSISTANCE If you're a House Choice creator, featured here, and you have questions or requests for staff, this is the place to ask. For example, if you'd like the image or text for your forum changed, or some topics moved from elsewhere into your forum, these are the kinds of things you could ask here.

Nominate a Creator for House Choice If there's a creator on our site that you think should be honored here with their own collection, this is the place to nominate them. Staff will periodically review this thread, and discuss any suggestions made here. Staff also considers options not listed here, of course.

Whether or not you use the banner feature from the Moderator CP to make an announcement, the body text of any and all announcements made on the forum should be put into a post on this forum. If you do make a banner, it should then link to the post here for posterity. The sidebar widget on the front page will show the 3 most recent announcement topics created in this sub-forum, so for minor announcements it's fine not to use the banner feature and just create a post here. Doing it this way will create a log of all announcements made on the site. Permissions here allow members to respond to announcements, but only admins and g-mods are able to create them. Also, any new topics started here (not replies) will automatically post on our Discord server's announcements channel. Thanks!

We received quite a few submissions, and over the following years we cycled through 3 of them, mostly using the one made by TotalDramaExtremist.
