Hello everyone,

 

It's been brought to my attention and suggested that MFFA have a thread like this that allows people to be screened for Author, Evaluator or Creator status. This is something that Ryon used to handle exclusively, but we'll review each case and see if the claims are true. There's really only one thing that matters most about this:

The user in question must have released quality work. (Quantity isn't a factor here as much and for Evaluators it would apply to more how often they provide excellent feedback)

 

If the this doesn't apply to you, you're unlikely to receive your desired group. Now as far as the meaning behind these. They're somewhat ambiguous, so allow me to explain:

Creator - A user who creates content for mugen. It could be stages, characters, and/or screenpacks.

Author - A user who creates edits and lower tiers of content for mugen. Palettes, sound packs, character edits, and/or stage edits.

Evaluator - A user who provides constructive criticism and feedback to creators and authors.

 

Please try to provide some examples of the user's work – ideally the work(s) that you believe they deserve the rank for.

 

Let the suggesting begin!

 

P.S. I shouldn't have to say this, but... don't suggest yourself. It's about suggesting others who you feel deserve the rank on these forums.

I've added Evaluator to this as well. We have Editor too, but it's rarely used and Author basically encompasses that anyway.

No problem. I've approved both as Creator. In the future, please try to provide some examples of why you think they deserve the rank in question. For these guys, I recognize them from years back and have seen the work they've produced, so it was easy approving them, but there will mostly likely be cases down the road where I'll have to research what a new user as done or someone with whom I'm not all that familiar.

He has taken time to convert quite a bit of WinMUGEN screenpacks to MUGEN 1.0 (and MUGEN 1.1, I believe) and I believe at one point in time, he had a thread where he was taken request on converting WinMUGEN lifebars to MUGEN 1.0 and has done so. Heck, he has even gone out of his way to help me a time or two. So, this is my reason for the staff members to consider gui0007 for author.

I have not been here for a while but i see Alexei taking names and kicking ass (with ranks)

 

I was always under the impression that Author's are people who make "mugen versions" of characters, while Creators are the ones who make original content for it (such as Dragon claw).

 

But whateve's you take care of it Alexei!
