i have to agree with you.

i hate when small portraits cover up big portraits.

Jeez thats a huge roster.

Nope Ryon this roster of mine is kinda huge. 700+ Characters!    I use most of them for MUGEN video fights and collection purposes. I love MUGEN so much.

I don't get huge rosters. I mean, sure, if you like collecting tons of characters, but how're you supposed to know which character's what from those tiny icons? You could scroll through them all to see their portraits, but there's potentially thousands of characters

You're right, a roster should only reach a certain point. For example like me; when you have to break your fingers pressing the arrow keys to reach a desired character thats when you realize that maybe you should construct a database instead. Theres playing with a lot of characters and then theres "I can't even see the small portraits anymore". My biggest roster from 2009 which I'm in the process of taking apart to add to the database is around 4000 characters using that old Screenpack by Arex Ax.
