  1. I unironically enjoy KOF Maximum Impact 2. - Most of the new characters added are great and memorable in their own way (i.e. Soiree, Mignon, Fio, Chae Lim, Lilly Kane). - Decent-looking stages in 3D (especially on a PS2) - Crazy wall-bounces and OTG's everywhere - First KOF to have Mr. Karate (and only KOF to have Ryo as Mr. Karate). - Nicely-designed costumes referencing other franchises and SNK characters. - Cheesy story and English voice acting (along with the option to turn on JP voice acting which is more "serious good" than "funny good") - and most importantly, all of the characters have a better moveset than what they have in XIV. (Kim's pants are also presumably better in MI2 since he has more movement in his idle.)
  2. Bumping because (thanks to Dawn De Era) new changes have been made that I consider big enough to be dubbed Ranno's "Version 1.1". - Ranno is now better suited for Simul play! He now has two separate stack gauges for each player if he faces against a 2-player team. - Toxic Trap's detonation has been mapped to the Start button, can be done anywhere and will explode instantly if Ranno is performing a different move when detonating. Detonation also does not put players into a SuperPause. - In addition, Ranno is now completely invulnerable when moving the Toxic Trap bubble. (7/05/20) - Ranno now has a damage dampener that affects all of his moves except his Level 3.
  3. A new Worms game but it's a real-time shooter instead of turn-based strategy with a shoehorned battle royale mode?
I loved the series while it lasted but I think it's time to let it go. Team17 lived long enough to become the villain.
I don't give a holy hand grenade about what the PR guy managing their YouTube channel tries telling me, the series is dead now.

While I do prefer the turn-based system of Worms to real-time combat, I see that they would want to try new things with the franchise, and I respect that.

But let's face it, we're only excited because we're getting a new Worms game.

      Was Garden Warfare like that?

    3. FaZe Dank
  4. Decided to pause Clairen progress (and a new WIP, codenamed "Obligatory") this week since "senioritis" has been absolutely killing me despite me doing absolutely nothing important.
EDIT: Got my diploma, so back to work I go lmao. 😄

  5. Min Min for Smash? Finally, a decent pick for a DLC character instead of a god damn FE character last time.

I don't want Geno at all. I just only wanted Bomberman and he blew it.

Geno doesn't even have enough going for him.
He appeared in a SINGLE game, cameo'd in another SINGLE game only to be taken out of a remake of that same game.
AND it isn't even part of the main series.

  6. Just wanted to remind you guys that, in a creators' community like this, giving and taking feedback into consideration is a very crucial thing to do, not only in MUGEN but life in general.
It may sound harsh at times, but addressing it in a professional manner is what leads to a generally better well-being, in my opinion. Feedback can be as cryptic as seeing a post get downvoted
that someone didn't like, and that's alright. What isn't alright is for anyone to go after people to say things like "did they ASK for you to give feedback?", "you're a sadist and a coward!" and "you're completely arrogant for saying mean things about their work".
Long story short: If you receive feedback on your works, please for the love of god do not take it too personally.

since i more or less understand the context behind this, i might also add to Joey's point: don't get offended on behalf of someone who receives a feedback, either. you're only making yourself look like a fool.

i'm neither talking to you, nor about you. move along.

  7. It's been a while since I've experienced actual sadness. That streak's been broken thanks to Lady Kim being confirmed for KOF All Star. Thanks, SNK. 😢

  8. Forgot to mention. Ranno got some fixes over the past few days. (6/17/20) - Adjusted Ranno's "Stars of Mutiny" custom port, fixed a debug flood with Toxic Trap's finish and a bug that repeated super finish's background every time a super hit. (6/15/20) - How in god's name did I manage to make a typo in WINQUOTES? Fixed. (6/03/20) - He's got a new stun animation. Dunno how I overlooked it, but I found it when playing RoA against Dronk lmao (5/29/20) - Fixed a bug where the AI attempts to air block when being launched (which isn't a thing) and ends up being teleported to the ground. (5/28/20) - Fixed a random typo I made in the .cmd file causing Ranno to cancel JUMPING medium into STANDING heavy. Whoops. (5/27/20) - Fixed some AI compatability issues and Toxic Tongue because I did a bad. 😕 The fixed version uses the same link, so no worries.
  9. To celebrate the upcoming release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, I decided to port The Hangar from the Gameboy Color version of THPS2! The nostalgia and hype is through the roof for this new remake and I hope Vicarious Visions does the best they can with it. 😄 (btw I used Venice Beach's music for this instead of the actual Hangar's music because it's a bit too slow paced for my liking.) Screenshots: Feedback is much appreciated. 10. Listen man, feedback is cool and all. I get that. Trust me, I'm no Wlan. I'm willing to take any and all feedback given to me seriously and actually improve upon my works. But what I'm not willing to do is take rudeness from said feedback lightly. Spurting out things like "YOU TOOK MY SUPER JUMP CODE" in the most passive-aggressive way possible is not what I take into consideration. There's indeed something known as "giving feedback and NOT coming off as overly rude". Please practice it more before you derail a release thread like this again, okay?
  11. Yeah, sorry about all that. I released the character and just-so-happened to not save the stuff that got fixed beforehand. Now almost everything that's been listed here is fixed and ready to go.
  12. HE'S FINALLY HERE!! Ranno, The Poisonous Pacifist from Rivals of Aether has now officially made his way into MUGEN! To be honest, I was kinda expecting people to make the RoA cast sooner thanks to their popular Steam Workshop content, with it being considered as "MUGEN except Smash-style". Nonetheless, I am proud of the work I put into my first stand-alone character and I hope you are too. Screenshots: As always, feedback is much appreciated. Thank you and see ya later! 13. Ranno's pretty much done! I just need to do some other things for him so he may come out later today, tomorrow or the day after.

  14. I've been loving these past few days. Enjoying the nice weather, going out skateboarding everyday and actually getting things done with Ranno!

  15. This is just RoySquadRock's Mania Sonic but cheap and not worth anyone's time, no offense. You really should've spent more time fixing your other characters or something, not this. All that feedback I gave in your self-insert? I don't see any of that being applied here.
  16. Wrote the script and recorded the lines for the Self-Insert tips vid. Now comes the hard part of editing it.

    1. GeorgeMP

Nice! I can't wait to see how it turns out!

  17. This is a compilation. A very lazy one at that. It's so unbearably slow and clunky that it isn't even funny. If this did end up in SAGE '17 then god help us all. Also 4shared is scummy. Here's a Google Drive link instead. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ob0SNgeDjIVxj0kutILNVnHp0kGlP8KF/view?usp=sharing

  19. No. Namely because I don't have a phone and I'd just use the browser version anyway. Also weren't you told numerous times by other people to not say "hey I made a thing totally unrelated to the current topic i'm in"?
  20. I've been thinking, should I make a commentary vid on what someone should or shouldn't do when making a self-insert? Just curious.

    1. mugen_70

probably. a lot of selfinserts have a lot of the same problems.

    2. GeorgeMP

      You probably should.

  21. Ok. -ahem- - Walk speed is insanely high (wayyy too high for any character) - Debug popup shows when trying to run - Literally every single standing attack is an infinite in some way shape or form - Why is the only crouch move medium kick? Why not the other attacks - That stepping noise I find unneccessary (combine with fast walk speed and that speaks for itself) should be gotten rid of - No projectile limit (especially on hadokens)? Why? - Missing hurtboxes on basic things like taunt and launcher - Speaking of launcher, it feels slow and clunky for P2. Almost like there wasn't gravity to begin with while they fall - Misaligned hitsparks basically everywhere - All attacks play way too fast. Throw looks so jank I almost couldn't tell it was a throw at all. - Misspellings also basically everywhere - Hyperjump is all 3 punches and not just Down, then Up? - Despite all those infinites, he still feels really weak and does little to no damage Rowser also tested this and found other things: - Portrait for MUGEN 1.0 has incorrect palette, or no palette at all - Jotaro also has a messed up palette, where no black outlines exist where they should - Why doesn't the Gun special have a helper projectile? Making it like a normal attack means someone like Geese can counter it, even though he shouldn't be able to. I'd hate to tell you this, but you've got a lot of work to improve here. If ya miraculously get all these problems taken care of in a... *mouth* then maybe I'll consider this an ok character.
  22. I was asking a question, dude. Did you even try to put effort into this character? Yes or no? Are you planning to fix what I've just pointed out, as well as other issues that might corellate with it? Yes or no? If no, then... I don't know.
  23. Not if your character has the walk speed of a Bugatti Super Sport speeding down Route 66 at 304 mph (and it does) with basically no recovery frames on the move whatsoever. Let me be as polite as I possibly can with this... did you even try to take these things into consideration? Like, at all? 'Cause the evidence I've been given says otherwise.
  24. ... This is a true combo. Need I say more. https://streamable.com/60zydy
  25. Hey y'all! I am coming down with an immense case of boredom thanks to this outbreak thing going on, so I decided to design some lifebars for myself, which I like to call "Stars of Mutiny"! They're edited from DartzPie's Persona 4 Arena lifebars, and they support their own custom ports which I will demonstrate how to make in the video linked below! Custom Port: Normal Port: Simul/Turns: Demonstration Video Download them here, or from my own website! ----------- SPECIAL THANKS ----------- Elecbyte - for creating MUGEN! DartzPie - for converting Persona 4 Lifebars into MUGEN (I used them as a base)! GIMP - for existing and letting me design the bars lmao keewe Lee - for performing the cover of "Seoul Road" which plays in the background of the port tutorial! MFG and MFFA discords, specifically the following users - for giving me feedback. DauntlessMonk7 Trololo (a.k.a. Fingers) Tendou Troy Kusanagi Mini Nima And YOU - for downloading!
