RicePigeon Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 at least its not PranksterSwagwave Klefki... with Infiltrator... inb4HowIsThatEvenPossible
DarkWolf13 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 At least Klefki is not in the Super Stage class... speaking of which, Golduck and Malamar aren't in the Maison at all... they should've been in the Super Stages, thanks GameFreak for excluding Golduck once again.
MugoUrth Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I have to wonder, is Malamar actually good? It DOES get Superpower AND Contrary which can boost its attacks while it attacks, but... I'm not sure if there's anything else going for it. Mega Evil Ninja Slurpuff STRIKES AGAIN!!! http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-86635112
Xan Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 There's a shitton going for Malamar. I've used it and absolutely wrecked good portions of my friend's teams using it. For example: have it hold an Iron Ball and run Trick Room. Just watch out for those sneaky little bugs. EDIT:

Xan Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Believe me, that thing is infuriating beyond all belief. You haven't raged until your entire Ubers team has been swept by a SwagKey. They argued for pages about how annoying it was and how to deal with it.
DarkWolf13 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 If only a legendary Pokemon with Magic Coat can deflect it right back at Klefki.
Xan Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Lol, who needs legendaries to murder Klefki. Just get something with Own Tempo and watch its Swagger fall flat.

Just get something with Own Tempo and watch its Swagger fall flat. ....or just burned it with fire. It is a steel-type you know. =P MARVEL VS. TOUHOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DarkWolf13 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Mega Absol with Taunt is the best counter I think... this is just off the top of my head.
Xan Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 It's more of a check. Klefki occasionally run Draining Kiss or something similar.
Kanbei Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Believe me, that thing is infuriating beyond all belief. You haven't raged until your entire Ubers team has been swept by a SwagKey. And then Durant does entrainment and destroys him. (Destroyed Mega-Kangaskhan this way :3)
DarkWolf13 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 There you have it. Every Pokemon has a counter.
RicePigeon Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Mega Absol can't switch in to it because Magic Coat doesn't activate until AFTER it Mega Evolves. Espeon may block the strat but its still horribly weak to Foul Play, even with its attack stat at the minimum possible value. And honestly, who's going to run Own Tempo specifically for SwagKey? You may as well argue for MegaLucario's unbanning due to Moltres...
Xan Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Or maybe something like Quagsire would work. Then again, some mons run Own Tempo (Lilligant, maybe Avalugg) simply because it's one of their best options.
MugoUrth Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Swagger is a two-sided coin. One one side, you could very well cause your opponent to aid their demise, but it could ALSO aid the opponent. It really is a "Heads I win, tails you lose" type move that relies on luck. Mega Evil Ninja Slurpuff STRIKES AGAIN!!! http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-86635112
Xan Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Something tells me people are forgetting that SwagKey also often includes Substitute and Thunder Wave along with Foul Play. Think about it. Substitute means that if they attack/snap out of confusion, it won't do nearly as much damage as it would. Thunder Wave is rather obvious, leaving an even smaller chance of actually attacking and also pretty much guarantees that Klefki will outspeed them even with its subpar speed. Foul Play, well, runs off of the opponent's attack stat which makes Swagger all the more helpful. [/rant]
RicePigeon Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Its entirely luck based, just like Double Team/Minimize and OHKO moves, and yet those are banned.... food for thought.
RicePigeon Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHBc6RtW9y0 Dragon/Fairy Mega Latias deconfirmed. Adaptability on Mega Latios deconfirmed. Multiscale on Mega Latias deconfirmed. I'm kinda disappoint.
DarkWolf13 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Speaking of the complete National dex he has... all I need to is to make the eggs of the Pokemon I have... that should finish the entire National Dex and I can get that shiny charm. Wait... I have to capture them all first... Guess I'll have to nab that Smeargle then.
Neo_Fire_Sonic Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 ....or just burned it with fire. It is a steel-type you know. =P yes. btw what makes klefki broken the only time i saw it it lost to my blaziken -play gaem, gaem iz kul
Xan Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Prankster + amazing support movepool + best defensive typing in the game = Klefki
PlasmoidThunder Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Nobody uses the Lum berry. That'd teach that damn Klefki, especially when you retaliate with Earthquake. Project LG said: God knows you shit out characters like a friggin' gumball machine.

And Klefki's stats... Not very good. It has average base defenses, and it's base HP is incredibly low, at only 57. Earthquake will rip through it. DarkWolf13 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 And Klefki is still vulnerable to high powered Fighting attacks such as Dynamic Punch. Machamp has a bit higher Sp Def than Def but I'm not sure anyone raised a Machamp for Sp Def and HP like I did.
