I can't say I've ever heard of Dark Violet, nor have I heard the original version, but this is quite the piece.

I usually rehost them individually anyway.

Purely as a result of having sprite 0,1 appear before sprite 0,0 in the sprite file. Very easy fix indeed. The world cries out in pain. If anyone still has the game on their computer, could you be so kind as to upload it somewhere? Thanks.

Pixel Storm, but without the scrolling background.

I beg to differ. Making stuff for this creaky old engine is jolly good fun :D -
Kidsy, I've told you before on the 'Database that asking people to make characters for you is both rude and unlikely to yield any results, so what makes you think the same doesn't apply here? Also, this board is for requesting download links to stuff that already exists, not for asking people to make stuff.

I originally mulled over the idea of a reflective floor, but then I realised I'd have to add in a reflection of the pixel meteors and everything for consistency's sake, which I didn't really feel like doing (especially considering how much code there is for only one of those meteors). Thanks for the input though!

I did a thing again. Sorry. Description I had the concept for this stage on my mind for a long while now, though only recently decided to make something of it; the goal was effectively to make a half-decent animated stage without having any animations prepared beforehand (it's all handled through code), hence the grand total of 10 sprites. Regarding the aesthetics, I wasn't actually inspired by UNDERTALE, funny enough, as the concept for this stage predates my knowledge of its existence; the BGM was an afterthought. Media Still images don't do this stage justice. Download PlasmoidThunder's Scrapheap Enjoy, I guess.

Its hitboxes are Skullgirls levels of unoptimised, but I'll give it credit for trying to be different with its play style. Being honest, I was half-expecting a cheapie or something like that, but this character doesn't even have palette modes. -
Let's analyse, shall we? Taking this sprite as our example... Where is the lightsource coming from? The front? Above? Behind? It's hard to tell when you've shaded everything individually as if each part of the sprite has its very own lightsource and subsequently ignores the lightsource of any surrounding parts; there should only be one primary light source (usually top-right or above), unless the character itself is producing light, thus illuminating the surrounding areas of the sprite, though no such thing is present with this one, nor your others. No point in discussing the anatomy of these things because they're cartoons and whatnot, I guess...? Still seems weird that his back bends at such a sharp angle instead of a smooth curve. That's not how you shade metal. There is very little consideration for the shape of an object; I assume this guy's head is not meant to be completely flat at the front (where the light is hitting it) and does not angle sharply away from the lightsource (of which there appears to be many) as if it were a box.

The fact that your screenpack looks nothing like the one displayed in the OP of that thread would imply you're not opening the right mugen.exe or something along those lines. It's a compilation, isn't it? That'd mean it's self-contained (simply extract somewhere and play).
-
The select screen being blank like that would imply your select.def file has no character entries in it.

But you'll never be... ...Mega.

You mean this one?

PlasmoidThunder replied to Galvatron's topic in [ NINTENDO ]
It's like a weird cross between Diancie, Klink, Genesect and a Poké Ball. The red and blue thing in its chest would still imply X and Y. I mean, if they can add new formes to Pokémon in a third title and new Megas in a remake, surely they can add a brand new Pokémon. -
