  1. I begin Mugenwatcher's Kills Festival challenge featuring all my current creations vs Alchemist of Atlas' team. This also doubles as two videos showcasing my Homura in aciton.
  2. Huge goof-up on my part that I'm surprised that I overlooked for so long. Forgot to give Akyuu's dizzy animation a hurtbox. It's not rectified, the upload link has been now updated.
  3. The character plays pretty damn well, the wall bouncing Ex Carrot Beam is a really nice touch to her beam moveset. Just small issue I should point out is that the high version of Carrot Beam tend to whiff even on some average height characters like KFM when they're standing. The hitbox could stand to extend slightly lower to compensate.

  6. Any version is fine by me, this is very much appreciated. You're a lifesaver.
  7. First super done. AT-4 is a simple looking projectile super with low priority, but underneath the surface lies an interesting way of scaling its damage off a combo. The higher hitcount you end a combo with this super, the less it is actually scaled from previous hits. So, you'll get quite a hefty reward for ending lengthy combos with this move.

  9. https://streamable.com/4y088 Yep, I'm already at it again with what will be my third character in the works using both Cyclops Beam and Kohaku's Homura for their resources, but otherwise build from the ground up. This time, my next project will be Homura Akemi, another Puella Magi. Her gameplay will focus on being a projectile heavy character who can manipulate time to teleport or create combos that are not normally possible, making her lean greatly on a keepaway and zoning fighting style. She's roughly 40% complete as of this post, but Homura has been turning out to be the easiest character to work on so far. Just like Sayaka and Akyuu before her, Homura will be made in the same custom style as them. Stay tune for more updates on her progress.
  10. As promised, lineart of a different OC this time. Meet Hieda no Are, creator and guardian of the legendary artifact Kojiki, oligarch of one of the mightiest nations in all of existence and just looks so damn cute (but don't let that fool you into being convinced that she is weak). ... And no, that's not Akyuu even though both are based on the same historical figure and come from a mythological setting.

The Chronicler of Gensokyo arrives as my second MUGEN creation, Hieda no Akyuu makes her arrival under the same custom gameplay base as Sayaka before her did and use sprites and sounds from neneco's version. She actually took only the fraction of the time it took to create Sayaka in spite of her more complex gimmick she works under, but I suppose all that experience from my prior creation that I can use as a template helped in that regard. (both links are the same videos on different accounts) After working on this character for nearly half a year (with a few months of delay due to PC problems in the interim), I finally release my first MUGEN creation using Otz-Kai's version as a resource basis. While her gameplay takes some inspiration from various fighting games such as Marvel vs Capcom, Melty Blood, Guilty Gear and King of Fighters, she is otherwise completely custom.   15. Tbf, Simul Mode is a absolute broken mess and nightmare to work with. It's hardly worth catering to that mode, not to mention most people don't really use it nowadays as they did 10 years back. The damage scaling code otherwise works perfectly fine in a 1-on-1 environment, which is the intention RicePigeon had with his characters anyway. I'm personally eager for more coding snippets in the future, a lot of this stuff has been helpful to me.

  19. Same character from the line art sketch posted prior, but this time visualizing her in the form of pixel art. I mostly spliced together Hopeless Masquerade sprites to create this Aya Himura sprite. Took a few days to do it, so, there is no way I'd have the devotion to actually make a sprite sheet for her lol. Just for good measures, here is a transparent version.
  20. Decided to finally have a thread up to post the visual art I have done, mostly focusing on artwork of my OCs. Wasn't too confident enough in my own capabilities, but decided for it anyway. It'll range from stuff like lineart to pixel art and more. Here is a line sketch of Aya Himura, my mascot OC.
