He proceeds to approach the receptionist. The two bespectacled people face each other, though one of them have no problem with their eyesight. Maybe his glasses are actually hindering his vision while the opposite is applied to the woman. Weird, isn't it?

Anwalt: By the way, how did you guys end up here? Are you in a trip or something like that?

"I've been wandering for a while that I can't remember. I do know I'm not from this world. I'm hoping the one I seek can help me with some...personal issues."

Having made a decision, Raina floats down to ground level with the group.

Penelope: I'm pretty sure I was the victim of a prank. I woke up next to a stinky, rotten dumpster not too long ago, and I know for a fact that I'm not a sleep walker, and I know that I wasn't in virtual reality before this!

 

She let out a low growl.

 

Penelope: I'm pretty sure I know who did it, too...and I'll make sure I don't let them get away with it. My mom and dad have to be really worried now! 

 

Her anger soon evolved into sadness.

 

Penelope: And I know that it's going to be a long time before I can see them again...I don't even know my way back home from here...

 

The shadow of sadness covered her eyes for a brief moment before the light of joy washed it away.

 

Penelope: But I know that, as long as I keep going, I'll find my way back home! Right now, though, I might as well take in all of the sights around me, and make some new friends while I'm at it!

???: (Speaking of getting here though, I have been getting a lot of weird hallucinations. I forgot a part of how I got here. I shouldn't think about it too much right now, but it's definitely something i'm going to have to look into.)

Anwalt: I see... it's kinda weird since you all are here for many different reasons, though all serious.

Anwalt: Mine and Lucent's aren't that much actually. It's more like a family trip but I'm using this to actually make up for all the time we were distant from each other.

 

Soon, Lucent descended alongside the shrine maiden.

 

Anwalt: And yet another newcomer arrives.

Lucent: Seems like she'll be coming with us to the Bottom. Like most of you, she's also here to investigate.

Anwalt: Wait, how did you know that they were-

Lucent: It was a hunch. Judging by your reaction, I'm actually right. Anyway, let's keep going.

Anwalt: Good. And her name is...?

Lucent: I didn't had the time to ask.

Anwalt: Well, miss flying shrine maiden, what's your name?

Ok. If you are here to participate in todays Exhibition Matches there are a few slots left. Please fill out these forms. Once you've done so, bring them to me and you will be assigned a number. This number will determine who your opponent is. After that has been determined you may proceed to preparation area to await your scheculed bout. There's a sitting area to your right so you can complete the paperwork.

 

The receptionist hands the man the forms...

(A figure stands by a bunch of machines both broken and undamaged)

???: Why didn't it work! The weapon should have linked this place to only one location, instead I have three different portals!

(After a moment of silence, the portals soon started to slowly move together)

???: Finally, this ate up too much of my time. If this will make the right portal, I should be able to do the same with the other portal. But right now, I need to watch this portal to make sure no other errors happen. Hehehe, I almost can't believe this is starting to go my way.

Kirimuri, the Rising Smoke



Hailing from the small nation Kohga, Kirimuri is one of the officers in charge of patrolling the Kohgan borders and preventing any infiltrator, especially from the hostile neighboring Mokushu, from entering the country and causing damages. Although he originally intended to become a weaponsmith and a tomewriter, he decided to take part in a more active role in the military following the death of some of his family members under the hands of the Mokushujin ninjas.

Prior to his arrival at Kalos City, Kirimuri was escorting Kohga's ruler, Shura, to Valla in order to negotiate with their king, Corrin, and study the Astral Plane and the Deeprealms. For some unknown reason however, the Kohgan officer ended up here alone. Although he seeks to find a way to return to his world, this experience can be beneficial for him.

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Personality: He is genuinely a good human being, but shows different attitudes towards different people. Although caring of his family and friends, Kirimuri seems to play the role of a "cold observer", who's not emotionally expressive and switches between moods in a quick manner. He thinks a lot and gets often lost in his thoughts, but he doesn't talk often about it, as he doesn't want to bother other people with his problems which he usually keeps to himself.

He doesn't see himself as a leader, but more of a follower. A few reasons why he went to the borders was because of his grudges towards the Mokushujin, and the fact that he prefers to stay in one place, preferredly a less crowdy one. Out of a long-term interest in the shape and the hidden potential of smoke, Kirimuri decided to make his own tome Enenra. It is still incomplete however, as he is still searching for more information for its development.

Weapons: Khakkhara (monk staff), Enenra (magic tome), glasses(!?)

 

After completing the form, Kirimuri hands it back to the receptionist. Hopefully his handwriting isn't too illegible...

Anwalt: The name's Anwalt and this guy who just talked to you is my brother Lucent. The maid is called Lilith, this small one here is Penelope and the guy right there is called Hyde.

 

Once Anwalt introduced them, Lucent, still floating, took the map from Anwalt's hand.

 

Anwalt: H-Hey!

Lucent: Introductions done, right? The Bottom's not that far, so let's just go.

Anwalt: Alright. Lead the way then.

 

Lucent nodded and began to walk forward, with Anwalt following him.

'The Bottom'... an interesting name for a place. From just the name, it seemed like a tavern of some sort?

 

Lucent and Anwalt seemed like good people, at least from the few minutes she'd talked to them... it'd probably be a good idea to talk to one of the other people here. She decided to turn toward the young purple-haired girl.

 

"Penelope, right? You noticed me earlier, didn't you?"   @A person

Although it would be a simple feat for anyone else, for her, noticing Raina was like learning how to tie a cherry stem into a knot with only the tongue. Something she was already good at and proud of!

It was only a brief moment, but it was enough for her to suddenly find herself in a bigger group than she expected. Since everyone had the same destination anyway it worked out better. Considering the destination was an underground arena however, she couldn't help but note the irony of the sudden friendship potentially being put on hold should they be potential opponents.

 

"Hmm...I wonder if this friendly environment will stay should any of us be paired to fight against each other. ....I feel like we would be offended if our opponent didn't do their best, no matter who it was."

 

With the group beginning to approach their destination, Lilith observed the surroundings of the building.

 

"Two entrances, one with a long line...ah that's right, the flyer did mention a club. What a pain, I hope that noise isn't heard in the arena. I doubt all those peopke are fighters so unless that's some kind of VIP entrance, the entrance with noone in it is the one for the arena."

The receptionist reads over the forms...

Ok...Mr. Kirimuri. Now all you have to do is pick a number between 1 and 4. Once you pick, I will give that number to match organizers. This number will be used ro determine your opponent. When you fight will be determined when registration has closed. So...chose your fate.

 

The already smiling receptionist raised an eyebrow at Kiri as she awaited his answer...

3 it is! I'll notify the match organizer. Head threw the double doors and you'll see the training facilty where you can prepare for battle. Some of the other fighters and few who have already fought today will be there as well. Prepare yourself and good luck.

By now, she was beginning to finally allow the world around her to make itself known to her. The sheer amount of people around them gave her cause for worry, but knowing that they were already at their destination...actually made it worse, when she thought about it. And Lilith's comment about their new relationships...at least she wasn't getting involved in that fighting! She'd be able to keep her new friends easily! Until they left her, of course. Then, it'd be a problem. Her attention was soon drawn to the club ahead.

 

Penelope: Wow, that is a really long line...umm...are you sure it's gonna be this obvious, though? Isn't there, like, a back entrance that'd work out better? I've always heard the bad kids at school talking about those, and it'd definitely be a lot better than sitting in a line like that!

He checked his belongings again before leaving for the training facilities. 

 

The door opens... and place greets the officer with a sense of suspense and excitement.

 

The training area was fairly open and wide, and had lots of equipments, including a large ring for sparring.

 

Kirimuri: (Impressive. This is way better than what we had in the dojos...)

 

He wanted to swing his staff around for a bit, but then he turned his gaze towards the shooting range which caught his eyes.

 

Kirimuri: (This is quite similar to the target practice that we had back in Kohga...)

 

He wanted to test his tome Enenra. He had poured a lot of work on it, so he needed to make sure whether his efforts were rewarding or not.

 

A command remote can be seen next to him. He looks at the instruction manuel right next to it, then proceeds to activate the training session.

 

A slightly loud beep, followed by the ceiling lights being turned off, indicates that the training session is starting. Multiple CCTV-like gadgets start appearing and projecting images of three-dimensional orange human-like silhouettes. They begin to run around in order to approach Kirimuri.

 

Kirimuri: (So it has begun...)

 

He spots one silhouette running to his far left. He opens his tome and quickly flips through pages, then initiate his attack.

 

Kirimuri: Deru kugi wa utareru!

 

A small cloud of smoke forms on top of that silhouette, then crashes down on it, which cripples the silhouette. Then, it implodes, shattering the defeated image into cubes which slowly fade away...

"The flyer we found was in a public area and didn't really try to hide what it offered. I get the feeling that both the club part and arena part of this place is well known. ...of course, it doesn't hurt to confirm my theory by actually asking them directly."

Despite not wanting to sit in a line all day just for a few answers and some entertainment, she was able to see a positive in it as it would allow her to get even closer to her new friends. It all depended on the answer of the big mean guy letting people in at the front door, of course.

"Pardon me, but which entrance is the one for the arena?"

Once they arrived, everyone saw the big line of people waiting for enter. While Anwalt just checked around, Lucent was already against the Bottom in general.

 

Anwalt: I guess most of the people are waiting for the dance club.

Lucent: Ergh... this place stinks of alcohol so bad... it makes me wanna vomit...

Anwalt: It's a club, what did you expect?

Lucent: Isn't there an alternative entrance to this arena or whatnot? I don't want to go through such... repulsive ambience.

Anwalt: You're complaining a bit too much. We'll just pass by it, so don't go getting all frantic.

Lucent: I'm not frantic. I'm just... urk... I seriously don't want to go in. The people all get too close to each other, the lights are too blinding and the music is deafening, if not just horrible.

Anwalt: ... Are you truly 17 years old?

Lucent: Shut up. Anyway, let's wait for Lilith.

The long line is for the clubb'n...the short line...is for the fight'n. If any of you are here to party get in line. If you're here to watch or participate in the fights then step this way. The arena is pretty packed, so a lot of people have already seated themselves in the arena. That's why the line is so short. Just follow the signs and look for the man with the tall blonde hair.

 

The bouncer speaks into his communication devise and steps aside...
