As far as I can tell, not much was changed from ikaruga's Shimo aside from the palette and the small portrait, which now looks like garbage due to incorrect paletting.
So yeah, its just a palette swap of Shimo. And a bad one to boot, especially when her hair is all one solid color. -
He's talking about the website nerd
Edit: I'm starting to wonder why people hate Smogon but not Serebii. What, because their favorite Pokemon are UU or lower. Okay, that is kind of annoying seeing a lot of my favorite Pokemon being called UU or even NU while seeing Pokemon I strongly dislike (Like Garchomp *Shot*) be called Uber.
Was addressing his bold point, by saying that Celebi has been a great OU Pokemon until Gen 6. Also, Garchomp hasn't been uber ever since Gen 4 and early Gen 5 and the latter only because Sand Veil wasn't banned by Smogon yet. Dunno how the Sand Veil ban holds now that Weather abilities have been nerfed, but I'd imagine thats still the case.
EDIT: If its any recourse for Celebi fans, even though its UU, it still ranks at C+ in Smogon's OU viability ranking, so its still useable. Just for reference, other UU, RU, and NU Pokemon in the OU viability rankings include:
- A+: Speed Deoxys, Manaphy, Black Kyurem
- A: Latias: Defense Deoxys, Keldeo
- B+: Politoed, Zapdos, Mega Medicham
- B: Mew, Gardevoir, Mega Gardevoir, Slowbro, Krookodile, Mega Heracross, Therian Tornadus, Mega Manectric
- B-: Zygarde, Jellicent, Roserade, Entei, Mega Absol, Chesnaught, Staraptor, Galvantula, Diggersby, Heat Rotom,
- C+: Mega Aerodactyl, Darmanitan, Ninetails, Celebi, Tentacruel, Therian Thundurus, Kyurem, Chandelure, Gourgeist (Super & Small), Vaporeon, Dugtrio, Crawdaunt, Mega Abomasnow, Tangrowth, Magnezone, Kingdra, Wobbuffet
- C: Moltres, Quagsire, Noivern, Kabutops, Ditto, Empoleon, Porygon2, Cofagrigus
- C-: Crobat, Ludicolo

Except Celebi was a incredibly good OU Pokemon for 3 generations straight before Gen VI. The insane buff to Ghost types this gen is what killed it, as well as Jirachi.

I dont even bother Genning Pokemon from scratch. I always edit an existing Pokemon instead, to make absolutely certain that I dont miss anything.
That way if something mucks up, I at least have the original.

U4QG-WWWW-WWW5-BMCP
E7VW-WWWW-WWW5-BMCV
This fascination with ubers is starting to amuse me... -
Land's Wrath being a much safer version of Earthquake...
In Doubles, yes, otherwise its completely outclassed by Earthquake in Singles.
You also forgot to mention Coil, which turns Stone Miss into Stone Fuckyeah.
-
So testing out what I had for my Doubles team so far on Battle Spot. Nothing too exciting until this:
H28W-WWWW-WWW5-AK9U
Mega Charizard Y, White Kyurem, AND Zekrom...
-
Oh, Capcom's gonna be so pissed.
-
First thing that came to mind...
-
I never said it outclassed the Mold Breaker Life Orb/Choice Band sets?
Besides, it was good for luring out common Rampardos counters in NU last gen.
Speaking of Rampardos, I need to start breeding those fossils for Xan once I complete hatching stuff for my doubles team.
-
Considering most people are going to send in physical walls to deal with Rampardos, hitting them with special attacks on the switch in is going to hurt.
And its's not like Special Rampardos cant go mixed:
4 Atk Life Orb Rampardos Head Smash vs:
- 252 HP 252 Def Impish Skarmory: 186~219 (55.69%~65.57%) (Guaranteed 2HKO)
- 252 HP 0 Def Neutral Aegislash (Shield): 114~135 (35.19%~41.67%) (17.84% Chance to 3HKO after Leftovers)
- 244 HP 40 Def Impish Gliscor: 237~270 (67.33%~79.26%) (Guaranteed 2HKO)
- 248 HP 172 Def Naive Intimdate Landorus (Therian): 198~234 (51.97%~61.42%) (75% Chance to 2HKO after Leftovers)
This is assuming Rampardos is running 4 Atk, 252 SpAtk, 252 speed Naive with Head Smash, Thunderbolt, Fireblast, and Focus Blast.
-
Oh boy, where do I even start?
- edit = "Ryon" ;<-- why is this in the DEF file? not that it breaks anything but...
- The select portrait is just... bad. I dont think I need to explain why, just look at it and see for yourself.
- Missing required sprites like no tomorrow. In fact, her entire SFF file consists ONLY of 25 sprites.
- ALL of her normals have the exact same number of Startup, Active, and Recovery frames; 10 each.
- All of her normals also have the exact same frame (dis)advantages on hit/block, yet not enough to justify the...
- ... dino damage on her normals. If you'd seen Kai's pic/video then this needs no introduction.
- Invincibility frames on her walking and jumping attack anims, which also cause her to cross up the opponent just by walking.
- Head.pos and Mid.pos use KFM's defaults, thus appear off of her actual body.
- Taunt shrinks her hitbox to WTF-tier sizes. Not only does it let her dodge High and Mid attacks, but some low ones as well.
- Hadouken has invincibility frames during the entire animation. Not to mention 300 damage as well.
- Speaking of which, her Hadouken is a mid-screen infinite.
- Her super gains power back on hit, in addition to hitting 5 times for 100 dmg each with no scaling. Considering the infinite she has with her regular Hadouken, this is pretty much useless.
- She has code for a throw, but no anims for it.
- Her block stance automatically counters the opponent with a kick whenever an attack is blocked.... Why?
-
Or be imaginative and use your own moveset. Geez, because everyone and their mother is using the same movesets these days, predicting stuff is a snap (for those that know these movesets). Throw in something unexpected to put your opponent off. "If you're going to use Sheer Force Rampardos, you should give it some special attacks."...
...why not take advantage of its huge Attack stat and use physical moves instead? I'm sure Fire Punch'll do more than Fire Blast ever could, especially as Fire Punch has 100 accuracy over 85 (or 50, as it seems this generation). Silly Smogon.
252 Attack Adamant Life Orb Sheer Force Rampardos Fire Punch vs:
- 252 HP 252 Def Impish Skarmory: 207~244 (61.98%~73.05%) (Guaranteed 2HKO)
- 252 HP 0 Def Neutral Shield Aegislash: 256~302 (75.01%~93.21) (Guaranteed 2HKO)
- 244 HP 40 Def Impish Gliscor: 132~156 (37.50%~44.32%) (1.6% Chance to 3HKO after Poison Heal)
- 248 HP 172 Def Naive Intimdate Landorus (Therian): 110~130 (28.87%~34.12%) (75% Chance to 4HKO after Leftovers)
252 SpAtk Rash Life Orb Sheer Force Rampardos Fire Blast vs:
- 252 HP 0 SpDef Impish Skarmory: 414~488 (123.95%~146.11%) (Guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock)
- 252 HP 0 SpDef Neutral Shield Aegislash: 219~258 (67.59%~79.63%) (Guaranteed 2HKO)
- 244 HP 0 SpDef Impish Gliscor: 196~231 (55.68%~65.63%) (87.5% Chance to 2HKO after Poison Heal)
- 248 HP 0 SpDef Naive Landorus (Therian): 207~244 (54.33%~64.04%) (Guaranteed 2HKO)
Not so silly anymore, is it?
-
What he said was related to DemonKai, not you. Try following the thread a bit dude...
This. And I never said I hated you?
concentrate on learning to code A.I. ass pigeon
I should concentrate on getting my priorities straight first?

There's typically a reason why authors don't praise themselves as the Ed Wood jr or Uwe Boll of MUGEN...
-
You scrubs forgot to mention supers gaining back power on hit/block
Jk, but she does get power back on hit.
Oh, and once again, the throws are done improperly.
-
Nah, it isn't. No offense to Zeiba, but I'd rather have Warusaki3's, XCB's or DivineWolf's.
^ This. Or hell, even your typical lazy edit named Orochi Jill would be better than this.
... Because fuck Orochi Jill

Had I known Genesect was gonna stay in I would have gone straight for Overheat.
I was waiting for the opportunity to trick that scarf away anyhow

There's been reports going around that the European release of Pokebank is rejecting legit Pokemon, most notably event legendaries.
Confirmation that Pokebank will reject any legit shiny Jirachi
Oh and Pokebank's hack detection is still laughable -
So I finally managed to start putting together a Doubles Team, until I realized that the ability I was looking for was actually the Hidden Ability. Oh well. At least half are done for now.
Now if I can just get my hands on that damn version exclusive megastone...

Celebi's competitive history according to Smogon:
Gen II: Uber
Celebi has great stats, and resistances to three of the most popular attack types in the game is never bad (Water / Electric / Ground). One thing Celebi doesn't get its due credit for is being able to stall out the average Snorlax and force it to Rest without taking much damage thanks to Leech Seed. It also learns Heal Bell, which is one of the most valuable moves for a stall team, and is still useful for others.
Gen III: OU
Celebi is mainly used as a stalling machine, but Perish Song variants can also break stall when used alongside Mean Look + Baton Pass Umbreon. Additionally, Celebi can utilize Baton Pass itself and contribute to a Baton Pass chain with Calm Mind, Swords Dance, and high HP Substitutes, and do serious damage to Skarmory with Calm Mind-boosted STAB Psychic. Blissey can't stop special attacking sets either, thanks to Psychic's chance of a Special Defense drop, Celebi's 101 HP Substitutes, its ability to stay healthy with Recover and Natural Cure, as well as its access to Leech Seed. Celebi can take on Electric-types to a great extent as it resists their STAB, especially as most carry Hidden Power Grass for Swampert and hence lack Hidden Power Ice.
In fact, Celebi's power is such that many respected battlers have attempted to get it banned multiple times; Celebi was even banned from the Smogon Tour for a while.
Gen IV: OU
Celebi was highly effective in the ADV era, but the introduction of several new threats have dealt it a severe blow. Celebi's whopping seven weaknesses greatly limit it as a defensive Pokemon, as they leave it open to the likes of Scizor, Tyranitar, Heatran, and Rotom-A; it is also hampered by Trick. Nevertheless, Celebi itself has acquired many new moves it can use to defend itself. Thunder Wave, Leaf Storm, U-turn, Grass Knot, and even Trick help to threaten dangerous enemies. Finally, Celebi boasts resistances to six types, which it can use to easily switch in and support its team.
Gen V: OU
As with most legendary Pokemon, Celebi is blessed with great base stats all around. It also has a good and synergetic typing, an awesome ability that lets it act as a status absorber, and a phenomenal movepool. These traits allow Celebi to play many roles, depending on your team's needs. It can be a sturdy special wall that handles many prominent threats, such as Keldeo, Thundurus-T, Sheer Force Landorus, and Breloom, with a large repertoire of utility moves, consisting of Stealth Rock, U-turn, Perish Song, Thunder Wave, Heal Bell, and Baton Pass. Or it can take the offensive route and utilize its good coverage, bulk, and resistances to set up with Nasty Plot, making it quite hard to wall. It can even use a Choice Scarf set to revenge kill troublesome threats, a Baton Pass set to assist your sweepers, or a tank set to combine the offensive and defensive roles.
However, the list of its flaws is as big as the list of its advantages. Its typing leaves it with a whopping seven weaknesses, one of them being a quadruple weakness to Bug moves. This means that it is prone to both Pursuit trapping and to U-turn, which is never a good thing. As with most Grass-types, it struggles quite a bit against sun teams, but don't let its flaws disappoint you. With the right teammates Celebi can really shine, and prevent those pesky rain teams that are everywhere from overwhelming you.
