  1. Only Mega Gengar was bumped to ubers, normal Gengar is still fair game.

Also most Excadrill run Air Balloon, as they hate common ground moves. Also helps them avoid spikes damage for when they need to rapid spin (hes already immune to Toxic Spikes and Air Balloon does nothing against Stealth Rock, so this is mostly just a bonus)

  2. I've been trying to get better for a long time. Maybe online battles just isn't for me. Even with 4 OU+ Pokemon on my team (Gengar/Kangaskhan/Lucario/Excadrill. My other two mains Chestnaut and Blastoise are lower. Blastoise is UU. Not sure which tier Chestnaut is in) I still can't make use of them. Excadrill really seems to rely heavily on Sand Stream to be good, Gengar's a glass cannon even in Mega form, my Kangaskhan's got some priority moves going for her, but not much else even in Mega form. And Lucario's got strong moves, but 4X weakness to Ground. I'm still trying to get a good Poison STAB for Gengar. I bought Sludge Wave from the Maison, but it's not compatible.

Kangaskhan's not OU anymore, she was moved up to ubers last month. And Excadrill doesn't rely on Sand Rush outside of Doubles anymore like it did last gen due to the nerf to the weather abilities, but instead relies on Mold Breaker to threaten Wash Rotom with Earthquake, which it would otherwise be immune to, and anything with Sturdy. Rather than being a Singles sweeper this gen, Excadrill is used as a rapid spinner, and does a good job at it.

Oh and Gengar can learn Sludge Wave, but only from Gen 5 Dream World so unless you already got one it's currently impossible to get anymore (DW just shut its final doors yesterday).

  3. Mega Lucario, too, though not as bad as MegaGengar or MegaKhan.

Anyway, thinking about making a topic for a monotype tournament after some discussion with others on Skype if anyones interested. Will most likely end up being 3vs3 Singles.

  4. Not really, I was breeding some but to be honest that cyndaquil i received came from wonder trade. =P

but I'll try to breed one with 5 max IV if that will make you happy.

Nah its fine. Actually it has two of the stats that I needed most so I could actually start using it if I wanted to, but I can always handle rebreeding on my end

  5. That was so boring. Never battling you again :P Exactly why I prefer doubles. Still, I'm surprised Focus Miss hit twice in a row.

Now that Noob sent me that Cyndaquil and got Prankster Cottonee from GTS I can actually start building a proper doubles team.

Man! Rice you and Matt  were awesome in that battle. :awesome

I tell ya if thier was a Pokemon battle League in MFFA You two would be the top rankers Here. :goodmood:

My Rank will be between 5-7. =P

4 if you're lucky, I can easily see myself, Matt, and Can in the top 3 though.

Btw, starting to breeding Crunch & Bullet Punch Riolus for anyone who wants one, and Vaccuum Wave for anyone who wants a special attacking variant.

  6. @Noobie I wasn't worried about the Mudkip really. I just saw you were online and remembered I had a Samurott. I went offline briefly because Rice kept pestering me for a battle, which I don't think would've gone too well with a Slugma, a Chatot and an egg :P Thanks for the Bulbasaur, and I hope Charles does you good :)

You didnt have your Battle Box set up?

Anyway, I gave up until you challenged me back while I was hatching Riolu eggs. 3-0 but gg nonetheless.

  7. It was mostly the fact that I wasn't expecting Trevs to get its berry back. That and its Volt Absorb completely cockblocked my attempt to Volt Switch.

The scariest things on there tbh were Arcanine and Cinccino, even though I still had Skarmory and Heat Rotom to take on the latter in case I lost Trevs, neither of them enjoy fighting that Lanturn.

That whole deal with Weezing though is making me think if I should start using Garchomp as a wall breaker with Draco Meteor and the mega stone instead of a Choice Scarfed revenge killer (which is kinda moot this gen with all the priority moves running around) with Outrage.

  8. Just got a 5 IV Misdreavus from a japanese RU player after winning 3-1. Despite some questionable plays by myself, it was still a good match. Gave her a 4 IV Ferroseed with Leech Seed, Spikes, and Stealth Rock in return. Vids in the battle video thread if anyones interested.

  9. Ugh, even in the real game I still encounter people who cheat. I was facing a trainer's Talonflame, and my monster used Sucker Punch, and Talon Flame's Brave Bird STILL went first for some unknown reason. I'm gonna save that video as evidence.

Gale Wings boosted Brave Bird and Sucker Punch both belong to the same priority bracket, which is why Talonflame went first since it's already naturally fast to begin with.
