  1. Ha, I completely forgot about the stat boost effect from badges that they removed that from Gen 4 onward. It never showed up in the stats screen so for all intents and purposes I guess everyone just ignored it.

With that in mind, in case it hasn't already been mentioned, additional effects from the Pokemon Aime do not affect wifi and link battles. Imagine how broken it would be if every Pokemon had +2 evasion and a 10% chance of activating Sturdy even if its not at full health.

Oh and for the record, EV Training with Hordes using Pokerus and Macho Brace is much faster than super training, not taking encounter rates into account (lord knows how many times I encountered a zubat horde when I was trying to EV train HP with Whismur hordes, Super Training ended up being faster in that case), as you gain 20 EVs instead of 12. Weepinbell and Durant hordes further increase that amount to 40.

  2. Ah! Thanks. I see what you guys are saying so its good for the pokemon to have Pokérus spread to other pokemon in the party (if possible) in order to Increase IV's more (for limited time). :awesome

Wow! Thats cool Rice. I'm currently breeding and raising some Eevees and trying to see if i get max IV's of them my self. Hopfully I'll get a shiny Eevee to evolve it to a shiny Sylveon. :goodmood:

And speaking of Sylveon since its the only pokemon I max its affection in pokemon Amei. I notice It has benefits in battles where if you make the pokemon be attach to you, you can give it more support by having it gain critical hit power. or help it shake off  status problems like sleep and confusion more quickly.

Since you're asking, yes, Pokerus can spread. Just have the pokemon in your party and battle (you don't have to use the contagious Pokemon in battle). After a few battles, you should start to notice your other party members beginning to become infected. The more contagious Pokemon you have, the faster it spreads.

Just keep in mind that after a Pokemon becomes infected with Pokerus, that it will automatically be cured after 1 or 2 days beginning on midnight. It will still gain the effects of Pokerus (double EVs), it just wont be able to infect other Pokemon with it. However, if a contagious Pokemon remains in the PC, it will never cure itself as long as you keep it there, so you can use that to infect more Pokemon at a later time.

Oh and for anyone else who doesn't already know, Pokerus DOES stack with Macho Brace and the power items (Pokerus + Macho Brace = x4 EVs instead of x2). Unfortunately, it does not stack with Super Training, just tested it.

  3. I prefer referring to the two pokerus states as "contagious" and "cured", make the most sense imo.

Anyway, just got a bunch of max IV dittos from gts, managed to breed myself two near flawless Larvitars in less than 3 hours. Breeding was made so much less time consuming this gen.

May end up doing Rotom or Skarmory next.

  4. Talonflame with Gale Wings is an excellent check to MegaGengar and any MegaLucario not running Extremespeed. And Talonflame is better off with a +attack nature anyhow, since its base physical attack is still higher than its sp.atk, as previously mentioned, splitting your EVs between attack and sp.atk is usually a bad idea on most Pokemon.

Granted there are exceptions and mixed attackers do exist (Garchomp, Hydreigon, Salamence, and Tyranitar are some examples), Talonflame is unfortunately NOT one of those Pokemon.

  5. [ Sorry for double posting =( ]

Just to let everyone know I finish the story of the game and I am now up for Friend Safari. :hi:

(sigh...) I was hoping a more PK battle Challange from that AZ guy after defeating the Champion. I only used Greninja and beat all his three pokemon. =P

Thanks Ky for the squirtle and Darkwolf13 for the Chespin Also I got a fennekin from Sana after the game :awesome

Egnaro i'll will have a tyrogue for you soon once I breed some eggs :goodmood:

My current team (to the end-story)

    Greninja - LV.88

    - Night Slash

    - Extrasensory

    - Ice beam

    - Surf

    Beedrill - LV.82

    -Twineedle

    -Assurance

    -Brick Break

    -Poison Jab

    Talonflame - LV.83

    -Steel Wing

    -Fly

    -Flamethrower

    -Roost

    Simisage - LV.83

    -RockSlide

    -Low sweep

    -Crunch

    -Seed Bomb

    Dunsparce - LV.82

    -RockSlide

    -Drill run

    -Thunderbolt

    -Roost

    Charizard (for mega-Evo)- Lv.82

    - Air slash

    - Dragon Claw

    - Heat Wave

    - Earthquake

Your team has three Pokemon weak to Stealth Rock, 2 of which are hit for 50% on the switch in, and no Rapid Spin support

And why Flamethrower over Flare Blitz on Talonflame? Its physical attack is much better, not to mention the base power increase. And no Brave Bird, either? And you didn't specify which Charizard MEvo youre using.

Also that Greninja is crying for Dark Pulse over Night Slash.

Dunsparce gets Earthquake, so why Drill Run over that? Theres no reason.

And Beedrill... wow... At least use X-Scissor for its bug stab over... Twinneedle

  6. Talonflame seems really bad for OU imo, The only real threat it has that I can see is Gale Wings + Flying Gem Brave Bird/Acrobatics. Other than that I only see it as a lesser charizard competitively.

It also gets Swords Dance, and the fact that it gets Fire/Flying STAB AND Priority on every single Flying Type move is a huge boon, because it also gives him priority Roost. For example:

    • +2 252+ Atk Flying Gem (custom) Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 244 Def Tentacruel: 442-522 (121.76 - 143.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    • +2 252+ Atk Flying Gem (custom) Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 244 Def Tentacruel: 442-522 (121.76 - 143.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    • +1 252+ Atk Flying Gem (custom) Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 172 Def Landorus-T: 291-343 (76.37 - 90.02%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    • +2 252+ Atk Flying Gem (custom) Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 244 HP / 40+ Def Gliscor: 310-366 (88.06 - 103.97%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
    • +2 252+ Atk Flying Gem (custom) Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Jellicent: 384-453 (95.28 - 112.4%) -- 68.75% chance to OHKO
    • +2 252+ Atk Flying Gem (custom) Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 203-239 (62.84 - 73.99%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    • +2 252+ Atk Flying Gem (custom) Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Heatran: 201-237 (52.2 - 61.55%) -- 96.88% chance to 2HKO
    • +2 252+ Atk Life Orb (custom) Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 244 Def Tentacruel: 419-495 (115.42 - 136.36%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    • +2 252+ Atk Life Orb (custom) Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Jellicent: 364-429 (90.32 - 106.45%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
    • +1 252+ Atk Life Orb (custom) Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 172 Def Landorus-T: 274-325 (71.91 - 85.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    • +2 252+ Atk Life Orb (custom) Brave Bird vs. 244 HP / 40+ Def Gliscor: 294-347 (83.52 - 98.57%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    • +2 252+ Atk Life Orb (custom) Brave Bird vs. 232 HP / 0 Def Rotom-W: 191-225 (63.87 - 75.25%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    • +2 252+ Atk Life Orb (custom) Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 273-321 (69.28 - 81.47%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

As for your Charizard comparison, Talonflame and Charizard perform two different roles. Charizard, specifically MegaZard X, is a sweeper, while Talonflame is a revenge killer. Besides, you can always run him as a choice bander with U-turn if you dont like Swords Dance on him. But if your main concern is Stealth Rock, then you'd have to be pretty foolish to run Talonflame without Rapid Spin or Defog support.

He may not be top OU like Scizor or Aegislash but he'll be high UU at worst I bet.

  7. I wonder if there is a tier listing yet.

Nothing definitive yet but the following so far are more or less guaranteed to be OU based on their current useage:

    • Aegislash
    • Doublade (eviolite)
    • Greninja
    • Dragonite
    • Galvantula
    • Goodra
    • Scizor
    • Azumarill
    • Gengar
    • Mega Gengar
    • Blaziken
    • Mega Blaziken
    • Lucario
    • Mega Lucario
    • Mega Mawile
    • Mega Charizard X
    • Excadrill
    • Togekiss
    • Tyranitar
    • Noivern
    • Skarmory
    • Magnezone

    Potential candidates:

    • Mega Blastoise
    • Trevenant
    • Mega Aggron
    • Metagross
    • Talonflame
  8. It's honestly not hard at all to beat the elite 4 in any pokemon game on the first go.

Someone hasnt had their daily dose of perfect nuzlocke runs then. :p

Oh and is it just me or is X & Y much more enjoyable with the Exp share OFF? GF really dropped the ball on this one.

  9. Hmmm this seems interesting. It could be fake but who knows there are always event lengedery pokemon every gen.

Except people always knew about them in advance thanks to data mining the game's code. With 3DS games being AES-256 encrypted, everything we know about the games so far has to be done by hand, so we'll have no way of knowing if these things are real or not until either an official announcement from Nintendo or until someone succeeds in breaking the encryption (which wont be for another 2 years minimum).

  10. I prefer to think of the Kalos legendaries this way:

    Xerneas = Brahma = Creator

    Zygarde = Vishnu = Preserver

    Yveltal = Shiva = Destroyer

so yeah, the Hindu Trimurti works.

Also Zygarde is only 600 BST? Thats even more underwhelming than normal Kyurem. Unless this thing somehow pulls a Genesect out of its ass, I see it becoming OU.

  11. Exp Share is right after the first gym. Its no longer a held item, and it can be turned on/off at will, so you dont have to deposit it into the PC unlike Exp All. plus I hear that the exp that the inactive pokemon gain is much higher ratio than Exp All's.

  12. Mega Tyranitar, Mega Aggron, Mega Alakazam, Mega Medicham, Mega Pinsir, Mega Banette, Mega Heracross, Mega Houndoom, and Mega Manectric:
