I was going to let this thread slide because it still had some merit of discussion until it devolved into a platform for flaming other mugen forums; doesn't matter if its Guild, MA, Multiverse, we don't tolerate this kind of behavior. I'm locking the thread on this basis.

Can you show us a timestamp? We're gonna need some kind of evidence, aside from mere speculation, that suggests the video is intentionally misleading.

A bit off topic here, but from personal experience I've found most Mugen characters that were 2MB and under to be of suspect quality. I'd consider 5-20MB to be the average size of a standard res character to be of acceptable quality, but that's going off track since we're talking about data bandwidth and hosting costs, not character quality. However, for the sake of curiosity, what would be the overhead if we considered 15 MB to be the average size of a character? And you're right: online scanners like Virustotal aren't going to find anything on adfly itself. Its the ads that they display that contain security vulnerabilities, which are dynamic and change frequently between users, sometimes you'll get a perfectly safe ad and sometimes you'll get an ad that injects some nasty malware into your browser. Something like that can easily be missed by Virustotal due to it not being on adfly's site itself. However, if you knew the specific url of a specific ad that caused a security vulnerability, chances are much higher that it would detect something. The difficulty lies in retaining the url of each ad that you encountered and then identifying which specific ad caused the vulnerability, which is a chore in and of itself.

Having a discussion about Archive and their ethical ad hosting practices is one thing, but needlessly baiting other users and calling them liars and "haters" for not agreeing with you is crossing the line. Don't do this again. And for the record, there are numerous accounts, both here and on other mugen forums, of experiences with adfly. We have nothing against displaying ads. Its specifically the fact that adfly's ads have no safeguards to protect visitors from ads that contain browser hijacks, malware, and other malicious software and Archive's refusal to acknowledge this fault. Name one other file sharing/hosting site with ads that does this.

The magma that can be seen through the cracks of their rocky exoskeletons is actually molten iron, which surrounds a solid iron core. The swirling of its outer molten core creates a gyroscoping effect, which produces this Pokemon's own gravitational field. When three Himecan Magnemite gather together, they become locked in each other's gravitational field, causing them to constantly orbit each other in a tertiary system. If these Magnemite come within too close proximity to one another, the impact can cause their inner magma to seep out and quickly solidify, permanently fusing them together when it becomes Himecan Magnezone. So thanks to Rodknee and Fclass97, I learned that IKEMEN gives you the ability to essentially customize the main menus via LUA scripting. So using a clever workaround, I figured why not add a character movelist for convenience? The above are just proof of concept images and not the final design, also shoutouts for Keine cameo in THRP.

So Gen 7 is here, and with it we gained a bunch of new threats, including some familiar faces. Of course, the status quo never persists between generations and Gen 7 is no exception. We all know that Pokemon that are deemed to powerful or uncompetitive for the standard tiers are banished to the Ubers tier, but what if Ubers was a usage based tier just like all the other tiers in competitive battling? How would the metagame of the lower tiers look? To simulate this, I bring you UnderUbers. Also because there's been some confusion regarding this tier, allow me to say, this is NOT an official tier on neither Smogon nor Pokemon Online, and is not officially supported on any simulators. Furthermore, this tier is not officially endorsed by Nintendo/Gamefreak/TPCi. I'm not sure what would make you think the latter was the case, but people have asked me that. For those who wish to play this tier on simulators, you can do so as either under the Singles Ubers option or, on Showdown, under "Custom Battle" under the Singles Battle option. General Rules Battles are done as 6vs6 Single battles. Item Clause: OFF (you may use any number of the same item). Species Clause: ON (You cannot use two Pokemon with the same Pokedex number). Sleep Clause: ON (only one Pokemon may be put to sleep at any given time. This does not include sleep induced by the move Rest) Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize cannot be used. OHKO Clause: The moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, and Sheer Cold cannot be used. Self-KO Clause: In the event of a tie caused by the use of Selfdestruct, Explosion, Destiny Bond, Perish Song, Memento, Final Gambit, or any similar suicidal move, the user of these moves will be considered to have lost the match. Self-KOs caused by recoil moves and Life Orb also fall under this category. Arceus Clause: Arceus may be used, but must be holding either a plate item or a Z-Crystal. In addition, Arceus cannot be holding the Pixie, Spooky, Earth, Iron, or Splash plates, nor is Arceus permitted to be holding Fairium-Z, Ghostium-Z, Groundium-Z, Normalium-Z, Steelium-Z, or Waterium-Z. Mega Rayquaza Clause: Rayquaza is not allowed to Mega Evolve. Eligible Pokemon must have attained no more than 3.41% usage in the Ubers metagame, according to Smogon's 1630 ladder stats. Tier shifts will every 3 months, just like every other tier. List of Pokemon banned from UnderUbers: Aegislash Arceus-Fairy, Arceus-Ground, Arceus-Normal, Arceus-Water Blaziken-Mega Darkrai Deoxys-Attack, Deoxys-Speed Ditto Ferrothorn Gengar-Mega Giratina-Origin Groudon-Primal Ho-oh Kyogre-Primal Kyurem-White Lucario-Mega Lugia Lunala Magearna Marshadow Mewtwo-Mega X, Mewtwo-Mega Y Naganadel Necrozma-DuskMane, Necrozma-Ultra Rayquaza, Rayquaza-Mega Salamence-Mega Shaymin-Sky Smeargle Xerneas Yveltal Zeraora Zygarde-Complete List of Items banned from UnderUbers: Blue Orb, Gengarite, Griseous Orb, Blazikenite, Lucarionite, Marshadium Z, Mewtwonite X, Mewtwonite Y, Red Orb, Salamencite, Ultranecrozium Z List of Moves banned from UnderUbers: Baton Pass List of Abilities banned from UnderUbers: Moody, Power Construct

[Gen7] Alola formes that should have been, but weren't

International Tauros Normal Intimidate/Anger Point (Hidden: Sheer Force) Base Stats: 75/100/95/40/70/110 Himecan Tauros Rock Rock Head (Hidden: Reckless) Base Stats: 75/120/85/20/70/120 (+0/+20/-10/-20/+0/+10) Flavor Text: Tauros in the Himeca region are bred in the fields outside of major cities, where the ancient Himecans had to transport them for sale. From this came the cultural "Running of the Tauros" tradition held every year, where Tauros are released onto the streets of Plonpam City. Unlike their international counterparts, Himecan Tauros were specifically bred in olden times for their speed sturdiness, which made them more appealing for Tauros-riding and Tauros-fighting events, traditions that are also held every year. Notable move loses: N/A Notable move gains: Head Smash, Rock Blast, Rock Polish, Smack Down Extra: The king of Gen 1 back with a much needed makeover. While Tauros may not be able to spam recharge-free Hyper Beams anymore, having a respectable speed tier and attack stat, along with recoil-less STAB Head Smash and Wild Charge gives it a new lease on life as an offensive powerhouse. On the flip side, Reckless can further bolster Head Smash & Wild Charge's damage output at the expense of massive recoil if need be, though Rock Head will probably be the preferred option. Sample calcs; 252 Atk Life Orb Tauros-H Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 172-203 (51.4 - 60.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery 252 Atk Life Orb Tauros-H Head Smash vs. 244 HP / 216+ Def Tangrowth: 191-226 (47.5 - 56.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery -1 252 Atk Life Orb Tauros-H Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Landorus-T: 156-185 (40.8 - 48.4%) -- 10.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery 252 Atk Life Orb Tauros-H Head Smash vs. 196 HP / 0 Def Buzzwole: 227-269 (56.1 - 66.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock 252 Atk Life Orb Tauros-H Head Smash vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Magearna: 133-156 (44.1 - 51.8%) -- 71.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock 252+ Atk Choice Band Tauros-H Head Smash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zygarde: 161-190 (45 - 53.2%) -- 34.4% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery EDIT: From here on out, I'm instituting a new rule with regards to regional formes, for consistency with how Sun & Moon handled the Alola formes: When changing the base stats, each stat cannot exceed -30/+30 difference from the base forme's corresponding stat. You can, however, reallocate multiple stats so long as each individual stat does not exceed the -30/+30 limit. -
So SM OU finally came out of Beta state, and Smogon is now writing up actual analyses for Pokemon in the OU meta and theres a few observations; Gengar losing Levitate has pretty much done absolutely nothing to its viability. It's still just as good of a stallbreaker as it was in Gen 6, and if anything, the loss of Levitate actually helps it more than hinders it now that it can properly absorb Toxapex's Toxic Spikes and take advantage of Terrains... ...which are everywhere now courtesy of the Tapus. With Aegislash gone, Tapu Lele is pretty much Hoopa-Unbound 2.0, except it can't be revenge killed with priority. Hell, Choice Band Tapu Bulu's Wood Hammer can even OHKO resisted hits (ie: Latios after Stealth Rock). Pheromosa is Pheromosa, not much else needs to be said except eventual ban. Tyranitar is almost nowhere right now. Guess its massive amount of weaknesses finally caught up to it. Alolan Ninetales actually caught me by surprise in terms of viability. Alola Ninetales has a solid niche on offense due to its ability to set up Aurora Veil and cancel out Rain (which is back with a vengeance this gen) but that's pretty much it. Don't even bother with Slush Rush Beartic or Alolan Sandslash, they're both pretty ass. Alolan Muk has a lot more utility than I expected, between Poison Touch + STAB Knock Off, its ability to check all four Tapus, Pursuit trapping, and its special bulk. Toxapex is just too passive. Yes, its a great wall and yes, it can use Haze to prevent itself from being setup bait, but there are times it really wishes it could break certain Pokemon's Substitutes with Scald... You'd think with Tapu Koko running rampant that Alolan Raichu would be viable, but it just isn't. Super speed doesn't mean much when you can't score KOs without a Nasty Plot boost and you're just too frail to use Nasty Plot effectively. Mega Alakazam is a beast right now, with both Tapu Lele being everywhere and the change to the Mega Evolution speed mechanics. Same with Mega Metagross, though to a lesser extent. Mega Venusaur is back in the spotlight again, with Tyranitar being less common, the Tapus being everywhere, especially Tapu Koko, and one of the few things that can survive Xurkitree. As if Dugtrio wasn't already good last gen, that +20 base attack it got in SM pretty much ensured that it would be everywhere, which it is.
