I'm actually not, which is likely down to the server crash a few days ago or because the admins had a change of heart, perhaps. Google only says I'm still banned because they haven't updated the page entry.

But you would still be able to watch videos. Point is, they shouldn't be preventing people from accessing the files they host because the files aren't theirs to begin with. Let's say that if by some stroke of bad luck my hard drive crashed and OneDrive deleted all my files, the Archive would be the only place where I would be able to get my own creations, and if I was still banned, I'd be unable to access the stuff I created; do you see how that might seem a little bit wrong?

Some people in this community really need to grow a backbone. If you're getting offended by a bunch of people venting their understandable frustration over getting permanently banned for raising an issue about the usage of the ever-controversial adf.ly service over something more reputable like Google Adsense, then you probably shouldn't be running such a website. Banned or not, users should not be restricted from downloading MUGEN content of any kind, as that defeats the purpose of a warehouse; preventing banned users from participating in their community is fair game, however.

In simple terms, it's basically a shorter way of saying 'ganging up', so they basically banned a load of people who were raising issue with or saying anything negative about the Archive because they saw it as people ganging up on them. As an admin myself, I personally feel this was the wrong way to go about handling the situation, especially when most of those remarks were off-site. If I permanently banned anyone who ever said anything negative about the MUGEN Database, even I'd be banned :P In actual terms, it's basically an MMORPG term for when higher-levelled players start going after significantly lower-levelled ones, which could be seen as the Archive calling themselves inferior

tl;dr, dynamic ads basically make adf.ly a game of Russian Roulette. As I said in my example regarding Ruben's Final Destination, whatever adf.ly was showing at the time redirected my browser to something other than MediaFire when I went to skip the ad, though my browser history showed that MediaFire was the intended location before being hijacked.

That's implying the virus ads only take effect if you click on them. Ever heard of javascript injection?

Files on Axfc are reportedly getting corrupted or removed and Mugen Archive wants people to help reupload everything from Axfc to the Archive's servers.

The hilarious part is that nobody here other than yourself appears to be having issues with MediaFire's ads, especially not to the browser-freezing extent you're having; for all we know, you could be making it up in an attempt to justify the usage of adf.ly on the Archive. But fine, I'll reason with you. Though I have yet to come across a MediaFire ad that forced me to sit through it before I was able to access a file (which may or may not instead hijack my browser), I will admit that sometimes clicking on the download button redirects to a sponsored website (but still downloads the file), though this is easily bypassed by right-clicking the download button and opening the link in a new tab or saving the link; no extensions required. As for proof of adf.ly being dangerous, a while ago when I was searching for Ruben's Final Destination, I managed to come across his website and attempted to see if the download link still worked, which it did, but it was behind an adf.ly link. After waiting the required amount of time, it redirected me to a blank website with a javascript popup that prevented me from closing or navigating away from the tab, so naturally a terminated Chrome via Task Manager and ran a virus scan. Viewing my Chrome history showed that before being redirected to that weird website, it had actually attempted to go to MediaFire where the file is stored (and that's how I managed to get the file). If you refuse to believe me, I'm sure Ruben's website is still out there if you want to try your luck, but I wouldn't recommend it.
