A person got a reaction from Ori-Ori in What do you hate/don't like in a Mugen Char?
Characters with cheap pallette modes. Seriously, when you have it set to where the AI will randomly choose a color in Arcade mode, and you happen to fight a character with a cheap pallette selected, it tends to ruin the entire arcade run. Another one is characters who don't stay down when KO'd. This makes matches so much harder in Simul mode because the character might bounce around and attack you, or you'll be focused on the KO'd character as they're bouncing around, allowing their partner to attack you freely. M3's Angelia does this sometimes, and you can at least knock her away, but 2580shota's Steamboat Willie always does this and it can result in the team he's on winning because he can't be knocked down due to his super armor, you will focus on him, and he will loop the attack he's doing.

A person got a reaction from White Ranger in Its time for us to all move on now.....
I don't really see a problem with it, honestly. I find it rather silly that they're angry over a democratic decision made by the people in their country. Anyway, I agree with you on this topic, and I feel as though they should just let it go and move on with their lives. They shouldn't let it impact how they feel about other people, and should instead learn to live with the people they disagree with. If we all just started hating each other for not agreeing with each other on everything, this world would be significantly more torn than it already is. People just need to learn how to agree to disagree.

I get the feeling this character is going to be as brutal as the author's other characters. Despite her being a fairy, I get the feeling that she'll be a very formidable opponent disregarding the obvious height advantage(?).

EDIT: Her hitboxes are made so that certain attacks can still hit her, so at least most attacks won't outright miss her, but I've noticed that attacks that normally fly right over her head while she's "ducking" will still hit her guard.

A person got a reaction from White Ranger in Regarding download links from a certain Mugen warehouse
This can all be resolved with one simple solution, and they decided to act like spoiled brats and try to force everyone to let them have their way with threats and actions that will cause them...no...the MUGEN community as a whole significantly more grief than ever. I have to admit, it is going a bit far calling them names and such even if you are upset at what they're doing, but even then, NOTHING they do is justified in ANY way, and what they intend on doing is not only extremely stupid, it may cause so much trouble that they might not even have a warehouse anymore if they succeed because OOPS! Copyright issues! They really need to think LONG AND HARD about their actions before acting like incompetent brats who want their way even if it puts people's property in danger.

EDIT: After reading a bit more, I can understand how they're reacting, so perhaps the vulgarity of this post is a bit much. Allow me to state, in less harsh and much simpler words, how I feel about it: Neither side is justified in what they're doing, so a compromise needs to be reached between all parties instead of them slinging mud at each other and committing malicious acts to "get back" at one another. If they reach a compromise, then I am sure that this whole thing will blow over quickly and the entire community will remain intact.

We dont do that anymore. It never ends well, and it keeps the community small and full of teasers (people who love to show, but will never release, like tomcsi). Share what you have, ask for what you want. We all win.

Then youre messing with the wrong people. I found characters I thought were only in trade. Till I found out Ryoucchi and gui007 had the same characters, and just gave them to me when I asked. Mugen shouldnt be that way, we share everything and try to improve everything so we all get our dream game. You included, man. Ask for anything, you should get it.

A person got a reaction from White Ranger in how come people allowed to mock religion in this website?
It's their granted freedom to speak about religion in the way they want. I'm a Christian, but I don't get worked up when someone says that the Holy Bible is a book of fairytales; that's their opinion. They are entitled to their opinion, and I have to respect that no matter how much I disagree with it. It's the people like you that make us, the religious ones, seem like we're intolerant bigots. We shouldn't go around accusing people and persecuting them because they said something we disagree with; that goes against the religion. We're supposed to be a peaceful, tolerant bunch, not that crazed religious fanatic on the street calling everyone sinners and trying to condemn them to Hell. We're supposed to help people understand the religion, not drive them away. The fact that you think religion should be exempt from criticism, however, disappoints me. God is a loving god, he doesn't just send people to Hell because they mocked him once. He gives them a chance. Maybe you should learn from that next time instead of trying to persecute everyone that mocks your religion.

A person reacted to Алексей in My opinion on the new 'censorship' system being enforced
Alright, time to clear the air of this. This was a joke that we were going to run for a few days to see said user's posts and statuses ruined. The censoring of "fuck" was my idea for April Fools. The other censors were put in place for other reasons... but honestly, no one should be saying "nigger" (it's one of the things that was censored). All of the other censors are gone now except adfly urls. I apologize for any inconvenience that might have caused. Carry on everyone.

    Edit:
Also, to answer any questions or concerns for banning - we only ban if the conditions are met. We try not to ban unfairly or at all. The case isn't serious enough for a ban that breaks the condition(s) in place.

A person reacted to Sir Ghostler in My opinion on the new 'censorship' system being enforced
As the title reads, this is my opinion on the new system; it's a negative one.

To start off, we don't need this censorship to begin with. To everyone who has been around the forum recently and frequently, they already know who exactly was the reason this system was implemented. However, censoring every single user's status updates just because of that sole person making egotistical comments is outrageous.

The problem would easily be fixed by banning the offender(s) and stripping them of their ability to make said updates instead. Not only that, but this system is forum-wide and affects regular posts, and even in the chat room. This is simply overkill.

Also, why has this extended to profanity and more than just comments such as "I'.m. a.w.e.s.o.m.e."? Filtering out a.d.f.l.y links is a good thing, but that's all that should be censored, if anything. There were never any problems with profanity, so why is there one supposedly now? We're (mostly) all age appropriate enough to say and read those words.

Who's idea was this? And to that person, why would you want to go to such extreme measures? How is punishing everyone here because of what a single user did a good idea? Seriously. I think I speak for many users here when I say this system shouldn't have been implemented in the first place, and that it should be taken down or modified to only filter out a.d.f.l.y links.

    I don't know about that...
His attacks are pretty overpowered. His A attack can be spammed freely and can be comboed. His A attack also covers pretty much all of the ground and part of the air. His specials are instant. He has a full screen attack that goes off instantly. Hitting him when he's using an attack will cause him to use it again. He can kill Incurable's Pram in a matter of seconds(no joke, he's the only character I legitimately beat her with). He can kill all of kuron's Cyber Bots Fullmetal Madness characters without even struggling. He can kill humi's Chie(the cheapest Chie around) in a matter of seconds. OMEGAPSYCHO's bosses can't even stand up to him. He can kill simon99514's Zatsune with ease...even when she has the fknjc_ai activated. He can kill hanma's P12 Nagamori with some patience. The list goes on and on...he's a very cheap character. The only saving grace is that the AI is terrible and tries to block attacks, causing it to be stuck in the block state until defeated. He can't block attacks, so he's easy to beat when stuck.

Jebediah chuckled to himself. He decided to play his hand.

Jebediah: Very well...are you ready? This is going to be a big one!

He closed his eyes, a dark energy gathering around his body. He opened his mouth...then let out a chirp, causing his eyes to glow red and signifying that Spell Eater was active. The energy soon faded away, but his eyes were still glowing.

    Jebediah: There. My big attack.

SPELL EATER: The user of this skill prevents the use of any spells, skills, and abilities within an area, including their own. All beings in the area are reduced to using only normal weapons and close combat to fight their opponents.

He figured that preventing the use of his own, Necrox's, and his Esper's skills would be of huge assistance to him; since he was both fast and strong, this would make things a lot easier for him, though he knew that Necrox's skill with guns would still make things dangerous as the projectiles were very difficult to dodge. At least, he believed, the playing ground was leveled somewhat.

This is good. I'm very glad I wasn't the only person who believed that everything should be shared as I do find it very silly for a creator to not share their works with anyone(looking at your chespin and victini, @GarchompMatt, as well as many others with "private characters"). If I actually had the skill to make characters like others here in the MUGEN community, I'd gladly share all of them, from WIPs to completed characters. One of the few people I know that is like that is Chuchoryu; even if a lot of his characters are unfinished, he still shares them despite their status, and even if they feel rough, I still respect the fact that he willfully shares them with the entire community, despite the amount of flak he receives for their quality. Thanks for this share, @PZT, and hopefully more creators follow this method of sharing everything with the community.

This pack does not include stages, and those stages were never considered a Museum project to begin with. (speaking in a general sense here) It was an auto-generating program, he didn't pay much attention to the images he was using (if I recall) and you should all get some thicker skin. Oh no, someone used freely available photos to make something I don't like! If you don't like it, don't download it. It's not like anybody is forcing you to have it. People do awful shit that upsets me every day, but I don't cry about it. He's an odd guy, and not a native speaker. Some people just have different standards for what's considered acceptable, the way he sees it he's just preserving what people made, for good and for bad.

Electrocaid has saved literally dozens of thousands of creations from being completely lost, and he deserves commendation for that. I honestly don't understand why people get confused and treat him like an unknown, like you, because he's incredibly important. It's almost shameful so little people acknowledge his accomplishments. He's done more for MUGEN than 99% of everybody at Guild, certainly more than all those hipster egotists with tens of thousands of posts, spending literal thousands of hours on updating things for compatibility, backporting them to DOS, meticulously storing and organizing hard-to-find content for the future, running mailing services to disseminate that content to the masses, so on and so forth. I saw how people went all "who???" in the Guild thread and that's really goddamn shameful considering how he's saving your irresponsible asses from yourself. He was even a mod there once but, unlike him, everybody on Guild has the memory of a goldfish, which is exactly why they didn't work to save things like he did, the irresponsible bastards. "Not my problem!" How you hardly recognize him says more about you than him.

This is a really spicy opinion here, too; he's more valuable to the community than any regular creator, weird, politically insensitive behavior besides. But no, outrage culture is in vogue, all you people choose to do is focus on when people do something wrong as opposed to when they do something right, and this is why we can't have nice things. Way to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Doing weird insensitive shit doesn't devalue the wealth of good he's done, he's been doing this since like 2003. I hope you have fun when he quits because the lynch mob drove him out and 80% of everything from 1999-2005 is completely lost, because if people dwell on shit like that and choose to disregard that he's the single most important historian in our entire community, that's exactly what's going to happen.

I never like to leave a promise unfulfilled, it's better late than never. A lot of this content is a big chunk of Electrocaid's MUGEN Museum, which was sent to a friend of mine for bug-testing years ago. He sent that to me, lost it in an HDD crash, so for a long time it's just been me who's had it. I wouldn't have to upload this myself if Electrocaid would do the proper thing for the community and share the whole Museum with the masses. All he has to do is go to archive.org and just upload the whole thing, and it would be like saving the Library of Alexandria. I respect him immensely, and I do hope he takes initiative and listens to me when I say this, but this content belongs to the people. For a long time, I thought about how to present this content in a way to show off, but I realized it's not about the glory, it's about preservation. I hope you enjoy the content, there's some real lost gems in here. Please don't let this pack fade away, keep distributing it, keep it preserved. You all have a citizen's duty as, now, some of you are even by and large the "old guard" now. You have a responsibility to keep sharing content publicly, to keep it in the hands of those that can appreciate it. To everybody who thinks hiding content, making it "private", and just generally being a stingy douchebag with things people made instead of giving them to the masses is a cool thing; if you know me, I've made it loud and clear what my convictions are on the matter, but for those who don't remember, I'll refresh you.

This is literally my tenth goddamn year posting on MUGEN forums. I've seen most of it go around and come around and I've been around longer than a lot of you, so fucking take me seriously on this when I say it's important. Information belongs to the people. Those who seek to restrict people's access to information, for whatever reason, should go fuck themselves. It's anti-art, it's anti-human, it's anti-society, to keep things to yourself out of your own greed, or due to the arbitrary social conditions the community has fostered unto itself. You shouldn't get to decide what gets saved in history, and if you think you should, you're an insufferable douche. Do the right thing.

This'll probably be the last real MUGEN thing I do, and it's been a long time coming as I've been sitting on this content for years, but it's time I live up to my end of the bargain and give it to those who can make the most use of it. You know, what a rational human being should do with scarce, endangered content. But enough about me, I hope you enjoy, sincerely. It probably took longer than it should have because I was waiting for data storage to play catch-up. I don't stay gone forever, I can't help always poking my head in, so I won't say this is a final goodbye, but, I'm doing this so I can have this out into the world, off my conscience, a retirement if you will. I will probably post more content one day because I do have stuff that needs backing up, this is just the compressed copy of my master folder. Knowing it's safe through being out in the wild is what I need to be able to dot the Is, cross the Ts, and close the book on this off-and-on decade-long fixation of mine with this stupid, brilliant 17-year-old piece of shit game engine.

Well, without further ado. Shout out to Laxxe23, the most pathetic insufferable neckbeard loser I ever unfortunately encountered in this community who probably shoved me into my crazy radical preservationism to begin with out of spite, and, most importantly, to my boys back at The Hidden Elect, I love you guys, your spirit is what made this possible, and you're alive with me. Bang.
