Toshio Tenma

Something which is not right in the Astro Boy 2003 dub is that they just made Tobio flee from Dr. Tenma, which means he could be alive somewhere. But, let's think about this... If Tobio is alive and hidding somewhere according to the dubbed story, then Dr. Tenma just abandoned him and comitted the crime of child abandonment. It's a lame excuse for a father recreating his son which is alive somewhere as a robot replacement. If someone's son or daughter flee home, then it's the parent's duty to keep searching for them. Although their objective is to make the series become less dark, it still failed miserably. Since child abandonment is unexcusable and there is no point of adopting a child or making a robot replacement if the father or mother allowed a child to flee from home and never went after. That's against all the human logic and the final message which says that a son doesn't need to be blood related doesn't make sense. If Dr. Tenma abandonned his own blood son and never gone after, then why he want to keep being obsessed with a robot replacement who also rejected him? According to the original manga during the Scara's Ark is being told that is a bad idea making a robot replacement for a living person since that same person could return one day. And what if Tobio had meet "Astro" while crossing the street, would be him happy to see a robot replacement made by his father who had abandonned him? Although death is really tragic, the original background makes more sense than Dr. Tenma abandoning a son who fleed home in order to make a copy of his same run away son who could return one day.

Due my moving, I don't have internet at home, so I'm browsing internet from the wi-fi internet from a local pharmacy. While I'm at home I'm making new sprites for Uran '80 and I'm also taking the time to create a new character named mini-Atom. See you guys soon.

Well, whenever an anime is imported to America, the work ends up heavilly edited to fit the "kid's friendly" rule which says that any animated work is a cartoon and should be suitable for children.

However, that rule often take away the original joy of any dubbed anime who become less emotional and less coehent than their original versions.

Yes, it's possible to mention a certain quality of the dub, but at times that quality is not enough to prevent people from rejecting the dubbed work and going after the japanese version.

The joy of the anime would be it's original storyline which is very important that if it's re-scripted, then not even a good sounding dub can save it from becoming a failure.

Also despite sounding good, some characters may get more annoying than their original version to the point of being talking rude quotes which doesn't even suit their original personalities.

Sometimes, the dub even remove important scenes or background information which would help the viewer understand the plot and characters.

The removal of the original sound tracks is also a negative point, specially if they're replaced with uninspired techno sounds.

The incorrect order of episodes can be rather troublesome since it doesn't link the story arks all together, after all new characters appears before their actual introduction.

Is worth to know that despite having fans who are not so picky about the dub, the original authors of imported animes are not always pleased by the suscess.

Specially considering that most of their ideas got lost due the censure and Tezuka was a rather old example:

Although Tezuka had generalized, since not all americans agree with wars and neither the censure of animated works, what he said is not quite distant of the truth.

Specially considering the same politicians who censure animes with their "kid's friendly rule" sent soldiers to war in order to kill each other.

Something rather too much for those politicians who claim that having fantasy violence is bad when they're still being hypocrites for taking part of cruel actions like ordering the bombing against innocent villages during the Vietnam war (something even explored by Tezuka himself in the Scara Ark from the original manga).

At the moment, I'm making several updates to all of my chars, especially Klarissa, because she is most in need of an update. After that, I'll work on making a functional, releasable version of Onpu Segawa. Following that, I'll focus on another project -- Konata Izumi, Reisen Udongein Inaba or Akari Ichijo. Whichever one I'm in the mood for at the time...

Klarissa is a sixteen-year-old fairy witch and cosplay idol.  She can change into different costumes during certain attacks, and she can summon small fairies to assist her in combat at the cost of powerbar.

Anime is not trully meant for kids, that's a thought mainly from american distributors who still mess around with the quality of works imported there.
 
Despite the fact there are people used to it, it's really annoying to have other countries taking the cheap american version as basis for their dubs.
 
The dub doesn't deserve more praise than the real thing.
 
And besides is important to accept different cultures and language than simply trying to hide a serie's true localization.

The reasons for it vary, but the censure is mainly involved in the quality of the series while dubbed outside Asia which make the series have several re-scripts and even changes in the characters personalities. Not just that, but also episodes and characters backgrounds are re-scripted and at times omitted entirelly. Astro Boy 1963 was one of the earliest example of what happen with an anime dubbed in the western world with countless of name changes which are mainly puns like "Dr. Boynton" and as well unoriginal and misleading names like "Astro Girl". The original dub is rather famous, but pales in comparison with Tezuka's original work and not all of the episodes were dubbed during the time of it's broadcast and it's final episode was banned. The 1980 dub was more faithful to the original story, but then again name changes are here and there, though Uran retained her original name. However her own theme song was omitted from the dub (there are rumours that it was recorded, but never used). The 1980 dub had omitted the story of the child Atlas due the violence, however it caused a continuity confusion since it became impossible to show the motivations behind Atlas' crimes. Also the conflict between Atlas and Mr. Tokugawa was much deeper in the original series since Daichi was the son of Mr. Tokugawa who lacked the love of his father, but at same time still loved him. The relationship between Zoran and Pluto was sudden and vague, since the writters skipped to the scene which Pluto appeared when Zoran was already in the forest. The original shows that Uran was playing in the forest and singing with the animals. That was the reason which Pluto wanted to speak with her while he was in his way to Dr. Ochanomizu's house. The fact which Tobio's death was never shown, it became vague why Dr. Tenma was so obsessed with Astro and why Astro had memories of Tobio. While in the original, Tobio's death is tould by Dr. Ochanomizu in Episode 7, Atom vs Atlas. The dub considering it's flaws and omitted character backgrounds should not be considered as the ultimate source of information, since the dub mainly deceive the viewer and do not show the original message given by Tezuka. The overseas version is pretty much a cheap imitation with re-worked script, terrible name changes, removed episodes, removed scenes, removed background music, removed intros and as well removed endings.

Uran may break projectiles with some special moves. She could jump and do a chop attack in the enemy and do a flying punch. She doesn't have an actual fighting style, just brute force.
 
If she loses, she'll don't blow up like a Rockman character would, btw.

She is Yuhazaki true final boss.
 
The game have a system similar of Street Fighter Alpha 2 which not everyone fights the same final boss.
 
Some characters have stories which ends when they fight their rivals like Yuhazaki who is challenged by Ren and Ringring who can only fight Kirihara Rachel's 1st form.
