EvE is the one I have on my old machine, but the author took it down. (Apparently, people were selling it, so he got angry and canceled the whole thing) I was hoping someone here had kept a copy.

As far as I can tell, VirtualBox still requires a copy of Windows, which I don't have and don't want to buy just for Mugen. I just want a link to download one of the existing Mac wrappers for Mugen (like the one I already had on my old computer). I don't want to have to install multiple operating systems on my computer just to play one game.

I hope this is appropriate for this section. I think it is. I'm looking for a new Mac MUGEN wrapper for my new computer. My old computer that I'd been playing MUGEN on is pretty much kaput, so I'm not sure I can get it off of there. I was using der Kunstler's EvE wrapper, but he took that one offline some time ago. MUGEN X appears to be offline as well (there's a 509 "too much traffic" error when I try to download it). ... before you suggest it, Bootcamp is not a viable option, because I don't want to have to restart my entire computer every time I want to play MUGEN - let alone the fact that I don't have a copy of Windows, and I don't want to go out and buy one just for MUGEN. VirtualBox and other Windows emulators have the latter issue as well. So is there any place online to get any of the existing Mac MUGEN wrappers? (I'd much prefer the EvE "Starter kit" like I had before, which comes with Master Ryu, Master Ken, and one background, but any will do)

Looks like there was an update back on November 29th, but I'm not sure what it says. Google Translate gives me "Defense release during Fixed a bug that will not attack the mad mode during migration". I think it means that the author fixed a bug causing it to not attack during the change to Mad Mode, but your guess is as good as mine. Possibly better :D

It's actually an old arcade game, by Strata, the makers of Time Killers. It wasn't nearly as bad as that game (though it wasn't very good, either). Despite its pedigree, it actually had some really good ideas (like the ability to learn special moves from your opponent, Mega Man style; a password system that let you carry your saved character and all his/her learned moves into a new game; and having seven secret opponents to fight who were required to get the good ending). I'm not sure which one you're calling the "hooker" character - Tempest (bottom row, third from left) is the daughter of the previous emperor (whose death was the reason for the tournament - the winner becomes the next ruler of the world), while Mirage (top row, second from right) is the ruler of Obsel Desert (where men are treated as cattle). I always liked BloodStorm, despite the cheesiness. Edit: Oh, wait, I recognize that author. I downloaded these same characters a few months ago. These particular BloodStorm characters are just bad spriteswaps of SF2 characters, and not even remotely source-accurate. I suppose you can download them just for the SFF files to be able to make actual good (or at least passable) characters out of them.

Oooh, right into the Dragon collection. It's nice to have a new dragon that's not by DarkRuler for a change :D

His old webpage and his OneDrive are both up, though I get an error when using the link in the first post in this topic. Use this link instead: https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=7DB65F02B0BBD12E

DarkRuler's own thread on MFG says it's a beta, so there's probably more to come.

Oh, it's finally done! I have the RC2 beta of this character from three years ago, and I've been waiting for the next update since then. Updating now! Edit: Wait, is this an update, or an all-new release using Buyog's sprites? The RC2 beta was by mostly different people - GM Spectre, Smogon, McCready, Larramones and Buyog.

Huh, that's Alien Green from Battle Circuit (most of the files are even still called "green"). But, yeah, uncontrollable, and with Alex's voice and moveset for some reason. Bizarre. But a nice jumping-off point for a real Alien Green character, maybe.

According to a hastily Google-translated Read Me file, the changes are: Your guess is as good as mine as to what that means. Also, its Life is now 9000 instead of 10000. No other .cns values appear to be changed.

About what I expected, but still better than every other K.Rool I've found.

Ah, ninnniku! I have his Gertrude and Walpurgisnacht, so this should be interesting, regardless of anything else. Thanks for the link!

Straight from the Mizukami Hokuto topic in the News section: Obviously, the thing on the right. I'm not even sure what I'm looking at there, but I think I want it.

For a second, I thought it was the giant boss from the NES Bionic Commando. "But you're too late. The Albatros has begun to move. Not necessary to wait for Master-D to revive." Seriously, though... I'll DL this and give it a spin.

Characters from Wreck-It Ralph movie who are in Mugen.
Raiu replied to peterpunkass's question in [ CONTENT REQUESTS ]
As far as I know, no. -
I don't recognize whose head that is, but the body is Omega from Final Fantasy V.
-
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, yeah.

Updated, with a new name (Bahamut Sin) and a new link: http://flurryjo.com/bahamut-sin.html Now has different palettes and looks better overall but it's still basically just doggiedoo's Red Dragon (though I think its side breath attack has much better range, making it nearly undodgeable). If someone could update the first post...?

Characters from Wreck-It Ralph movie who are in Mugen.
Raiu replied to peterpunkass's question in [ CONTENT REQUESTS ]
You can get Ralph and Felix from RoySquadRocks' OneDrive: https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=CC8ACE125B3A87ED Ralph and Felix are in the "My MUGEN Characters" directory, a Niceland stage is in the "My MUGEN Stages (1.0)" directory, and (and will probably be announced in Releases when it's done). Roy's version of Q*Bert is also in his Characters directory. From Bad Anon, Kano ("Cyborg") and Smoke ("Shinobi") can be found in the Mortal Kombat Collection topic, in the Collections section of this very forum. Similarly, loads of Bowsers abound in the topic, and Robotnik can be found in the Collection topic. -
Does this Exist whos the author of this creation
Raiu replied to Laharl's question in [ CONTENT REQUESTS ]
I hope this isn't too vague a subject for this topic (if it is, feel free to delete this post). Are there any Breath of Fire characters made for MUGEN, other than UN's excellent Fou-Lu? I've been hoping for an equally-good Ryuu (any of them) at the very least. I've seen references to a WIP Rei (based on BoF3's sprites), but I can't actually find anywhere to download it. (The creators page is here, but the Download link just leads to a 404 page) Any others that I don't know about? -
Gotta try TranzoMazinger Z. After all, "He's a protector of peace so powerful, he cannot be destroyed!" .... yeah, I'm old.

The thing about the Great Old Ones (as Cthulhu and his kind are called) is that they exist in an otherwise rational world where everything is normal, so just seeing them (and, in some cases, just learning such creatures can exist) is so against what people of the time think of as "reality" that it just breaks their brains entirely, and this has generally translated into most portrayals of them causing madness just from looking at them. And, yes, there are more Great Old Ones, all of which look different and impossibly alien, with Cthulhu (despite being a hundred-foot-tall immortal and invulnerable deity) being pretty close to the bottom of the heap power-wise. They don't really want to conquer humanity, because they barely even know humanity exists. They kill humans and destroy human civilization with the same lack of awareness that you might accidentally destroy an anthill while you're taking a walk in the woods. As far as they're aware, they already rule the universe. They are Giygas at his brain-breakingly creepiest and most powerful, long before Giygas existed. Shuma-Gorath, in the comics, is meant to be that same level of power (which is odd that he's known mostly as a weird and sort of underpowered fighting game character). Which makes it hard to put them into a video game, really (Mugen or otherwise). Once you give something like the Great Old Ones stats, they lose a lot of what makes them them. (Which is probably what happened to Shuma) That said, I'll give this a try if I can. (I mostly want to see whether I can pull the characters out and use them in my main game) Edit: They can be pulled out and used in regular Mugen, so I've given them a try. Many of these (Excalibur, Bastet, Cthulhu himself, etc) appear to be spriteswaps of the same tiny hyper-fast self-healing character, all with the exact same "tearing up the ground" animations and the same "hovering in the air while punching madly" attack. Yes, Cthulhu, who is supposed to be a hundred feet tall, instead stands waist-high to Ryu. (And it's not just because all the characters are supposed to be equally huge. He's the same size as HBL, the normal human in the pack) The few that aren't spriteswaps are still terrible all around, with default sounds, very few animations, and generally nothing interesting about them. (The latter complaints also apply to the spriteswaps) Even for a "demo", it's all very, very disappointing.

Huh. Not only is it clearly based on Doggiedoo's Red Dragon (not Synn - their movesets are just different enough that I can tell which one it's based on even before downloading the character), even the character description is lifted nearly word-for-word from Red Dragon's page on the Mugen Wikia, and the move descriptions call the character "Red" instead of Bahamut. I also note that Jo gives no credit to Doggiedoo. I'll grab it for my Dragon collection, but it's not going into a place of honor there. (I'll probably put it right next to Fin Fang Foom, which is also a lazy Red Dragon edit)

Click on the button that says "ダウンロード" (which translates to "Download"). As for the character itself... I like it. A decent boss character whose attacks are not completely undodgeable or unblockable - and, surprisingly, it doesn't hit as hard as you'd think with most of its attacks, though it does have 10,000 HP, which makes fighting it a slow prospect. You only have to beat it in one round, though. The second round just has Schala kneeling on the ground, with no life, and you win automatically.
