Hmph... here goes the first SSB game format all over again. I kind of liked the story mode because it provides a alternate way to unlock characters instead of playing a number of matches. I did Brawl's story mode just for the thrill of the beat-em-up style gameplay and unlocking characters as I go. The cutscenes weren't bad either, though no dialogue. Unless you are one of those people that have to get the best out of the game by going through it more than once collecting everything. Then played multiplayer or brawl for hundreds more hours. Having around 50+ characters will make the game very playable even with out any story-mode or SSE.
