What happened to the Mugen Guild Forum?

MFG is forcing people to create an account now (That's what's preventing people from accessing Mugen Guild Forum without an account)

Don't have idea about that until someone in my Twitter noticed me. The forum is in terminal state TBH, and the ones who got the keys of MFG (Valodim and Nunor) are MIA since years ago, without them (or at least only Val) the only options we got in Guild is to start a new fresh forum from scratch and forget about the 20+ years of posting there, or stay there until it collapse eventually... which is the second option is the used RN. Maybe the "you can't see the forum until you create an account" is a sign of the site is going to collapse soon

I feel like it would be best to start over, and only transfer over content with functioning links.

 

Cause there are a lot of posts with dead links.

This is a temporary measure to see if it eases the timeout errors, it's not permanent. The site has been dealing with some 10000+ guests/bots accessing the site simultaneously.

Usually the forum goes down often in night hours since the amount of users is bigger in that time, but if you enter during the day, usually doesn't have much troubles

The forum has turned into unusable garbo not the way I remember it from 2016 or so when I last actively used it.  Constantly times out, does not allow to browse a thread before you log in, I never liked it showing the ip when you are logged either (cannot load it now too as I post here). Oh well there, are other places.
