Tommy sincerely wanted to help Hina out, but that was against Agni's wishes, so he chose to back out instead. Tommy: At the very least, can I play some fight music? However, Tommy threw a fireball at him. Agni summoned one of his dual guns and shot the fireball with his Black Bullet before it could ever get close to Byakuya. The projectiles clashed and vanished.
