Fortune Street, despite being a subpar game at best, actually had amazing music. Just listen to this game's version of The Evil King Bowser from Super Mario World.

Two games come to mind: KOF 2003 (the next game on my VG hit list) and Kirby's Dream Land 3 (which I consider underrated all across the board for some easily known reasons).

Because of it's obscurity I think Astra Super Stars has underrated music with a wonderful soundtrack, (Memory of a Sleepy Forest) Stella's theme is soothing and uplifting, or (Requiem for the End of the Universe) Satan Volte's boss theme is pretty epic for this goofy fighter, and (Angel Star) Maron's theme sounds like an adorable anime J-pop ending.(Painted Portrait) My Angel/Devil song is my favorite in the game for it's otherworldly and mysterious feel.

Any theme from Donkey Kong Country 3. People seem to talk about Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2 and their good music, but Donkey Kong Country 3 and it's good music seemed to get pushed aside.

Really? I mean, I know lots of people, who love Touhou (most of them like the series since Lotus Land Story) and I have to remind almost everyone that this theme even exists.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest for the SNES.  In my opinion a fine game for what it is, and the music is magnificent.
