I must be really bad at Chrono Trigger because it took me almost a year to beat this guy in that game.
-
Sure. We can go later today if you want. I eat out at a local tavern on Fridays, and they have Wifi there, so I might have more time. So... check me out from 11:45 to about 12:15. My dad has a rule against me with my 3DS out while eating, and... I kind of went to a tavern, I had my face glued to my 3DS and I kind of felt embarrassed at myself that moment, so I kind of set that rule on myself too.

My available time online is pretty limited, mostly ten minutes for three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), but I'm still open if people do want to play around that time. I've been playing as Ryu for quite a while and so far... I suck at using him. I still don't have Lucas yet. I'll probably get him Saturday or Sunday.

Maybe it would be wise to have three of those items that reduce your abilities, but your Attack goes way up, and your defense only goes down a little bit. Because usually those items do not take away your ability to do anything important.

Does anyone have any tips for beating Classic mode on 9.0 Difficulty on the 3DS version? I've been stuck on it for months. Spoiler: He is, he just has a rather... giant-nosed disguise.
-
I think Wolf's chances are actually pretty solid even at this point. He seems like a well wanted character, and with the trend going on of bringing back Smash Brothers 2 and 3 characters people didn't absolutely hate, he actually has a decent chance. Better than Pichu anyway. No one's missing that little shit.

Dang those anime chicks and their campy-ass weapons. I'll take two, one to play with and one to keep in the package. ...I mean the weapon, pervs!
-
Meh, another Fire Emblem character and BETTERNOTBELUIGIDRMARIO clone finally set in stone. ...I'll probably buy them, but more because I want all the characters for Smash Brothers rather than I want them in particular.
-
As usual, I'm just going to keep an open mind until the game's quality is confirmed.

They're still pretty much the same theme though. That theme was reused in Melee for the throwback stage as well.
-
Speaking of which, anyone notice that the theme for the SSBM Jungle Japes stage in the 3DS version is the Kongo Jungle SSBN64 theme instead of the one from Melee? On another note: I've been playing around with the Mii Brawler for a bit, and I can't help but ask: Is there ANY reason to use any of its 3 moves over it's 1 and 2 moves? Neutral Special 1: A projectile. Not too strong, but is the only option it has for range. Can be shot in the air for added range. Can be pretty fun to use, and sometimes useful. 2: A strong punch that can be charged up and released when desired. Since it can be used at any time when fully charged, it's fairly unpredictable. 3: Pretty much Falcon Punch as a kick: very powerful, but good luck hitting anything with such a slow attack. Side Special 1: Brawler charges forward. If it hits, sends a flurry of combos that hit hard. However, Brawler is left open if the opponent blocks. Good horizontal recovery. 2: A charged drop kick. Very powerful, and jumps off the opponent even when blocked, so it's harder to counter than the first move. If it misses though, it leaves him open for cooldown. Good horizontal recovery. 3: If anything, can be used as a counter, but isn't that strong, easy to hit with, or has very good horizontal recovery. Up Special 1: A chop kick that goes up and down. Has the best vertical recovery. 2: A spinning kick that has better range than the other two, while having both horizontal and vertical recovery. 3: ...A strong uppercut, the same as Little Mac's Up Special. Strong, but has low recovery vertically, and even worse horizontal recovery. Down Special 1: Brawler's version of the Bowser/Yoshi bomb. Stronger than Yoshi's and quicker than Bowser's, but slower than Yoshi's and doesn't have the horizontal range of either. Burry's opponents if it hits, allowing for some follow-up attacks. 2: A fun little dodge maneuver. Not terribly strong, but can be fun and used to trick the opponent. 3: On the ground, rushes forward with a series of kicks. Stays in place in the air. A bit better than the other 3 moves, but I'd still rate it the lowest of his moves.

Considering Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Metroid, Yoshi, Wario and Sonic all get only returning stages in the 3DS... yeah, maybe that's why I don't like the 3DS stages that much. (My problem is that they didn't even bring back any of the good stages.)
-
I don't blame him, really. It looks like a cool enough character. I might try it later.
-
When is the 3DS version going to get a new stage? The stages in the 3DS version are kinda boring compared to the ones in the WiiU version.
-
I am not an Earthbound/Mother fan, but I'll still probably get Lucas for collection purposes. Plus, I haven't played Brawl so I'm not sure how different he is from Ness.
-
MUGEN Characters actually weren't that big to begin with. Usually you could get a good MUGEN character for 2 or 3 megabytes. Then we started getting characters with bigger sound files and flashy hi-res graphics.
-
No, but I'm expecting it to be. It already feels like a trend is coming on. Plus, if they're going to come up with a name for a proper sequel, why the heck SUPER Mystery Dungeon?

Gigan By Dr.T Released , also Ghidora & Godzilla Updated

Yikes, it looks like Gigan's getting in touch with a rather... different side of him. -
I'm starting to wonder if Nintendo isn't getting happy with these Pokemon Freemium games. First Trozei, then Rumble, and now is Mystery Dungeon next? What Pokemon spinoff franchise is safe now? Also, FINALLY completed Black Balloon. I just had to stop being stingy with gems, so I used up quite a few catching them.
-
Stupid Tornadus! He's the last Pokemon I need to complete the Black Balloon, and I can't get the cursor to land on him, and even when I do, I can't catch that bastard for the life of me. Edit: I guess I need Krookodile too.

The character I used to beat Super Evil Nega Ninja Slurpuff was under 1400 power.
-
...Are you kidding? Slurpuff was a pushover. The Swirlix that accompany it only use stat-lowering moves, and Slurpuff itself is slow and easy to evade. Slurpuff's main claim to fame is being able to use a healing move, but it heals for so little it's barely worth mentioning. Now the Slurpuff in one of the missions? That's another story entirely. You just figured that out now? Here's a tip to go by, once you get 5 gems, stop. You can only get five gems a day using that method. Afterward, they give you coins for every five until the next day in the game is registered.
-
Finally got the fairy balloon. It has both Slurpuff AND Aromatisse. :D One thing I notice is that when stopping the wheel, it seems to always land on the space I absolutely DON'T want to land on. However, when getting the stage I do want, I seem to have the most success pressing A on the one I'm aiming for. It still lands randomly, but it tends to land on the one I want more often if I actually press A when the cursor highlights the one I want.

Deejay's Whack-off winpose, or I'm not interested. :P
