Don't be so closed-minded then. Gimmick and/or awful. Lucario was a gimmick and quite slow. Mewtwo was floaty and pretty bad. Pichu was a weaker version of Pikachu that hurt itself. Jigglypuff become more of a gimmick, relying on that down-B of hers. So yeah. Pikachu and Greninja are pretty much the only Pokémon characters that aren't tied down to a gimmick and are actually good. Jigglypuff used to be pretty good, but then they screwed her over :c Also, just one last thing in regards to Greninja... Frogs look ugly.

Why is it that you seem to act exactly like the stereotypical furry? I am not surprised at Pac-Man being in the game. It's nice, in fact. I'm not the biggest fan of Greninja, but it's nice to see a non-gimmick Pokémon character in there for once. They might keep that exclusive to X, Y and Z (or whatever). Many things have been unique to certain generations, after all. Gen II had the PokéGear (though you might draw similarities to Gen III's PokéNav). Gen III had secret bases (though again, you might draw similarities to Gen IV's Underground) and two bikes. Gen IV had the Pokétch and Seals. Gen V had Pokéstar Studios. And I'm sure that's not all of them.

Swift Swim makes no sense though. He's a massive bulky thing with tiny legs... surely Huge Power, Sturdy or something? Lightning Rod makes Mega Sceptile immune to Thunder Wave, plus gives him +1 Sp. Attack when hit by an Electric-type move. It's not all that bad.
