Honestly i personally don't fimd Chuchoryu and Jose Cuervo's stuff to be collection purposes, i think most of the characters are fine enough

💿 Preservation First: Why This KOFM Collection Matters
You might be wondering,"What? Is this guy crazy? Aren't the decrypted versions much better?" This specific collection aims to prioritize the preservation of these files, since the original versions by Zelgadis were lost due to the vast amount of unofficial builds, or are very difficult to find in a quick search. ⚠️ Quick Notes & Gameplay Warnings
    🎮 KOFM DEMO (Original Encrypted)
Does not have the updated audio plugins that I took from version ''2.4.0''. The selectable version of Krizalid is missing its ''.act'' files, so the game will crash. However, the BOSS version works perfectly, making the DEMO beatable. Just to be safe, don't select this character! 🎮 KOFM LV1 SP 1.6.2 (Original Encrypted)
Requires a password to unlock IORI-98. Due to M.U.G.E.N limitations, I believe the author couldn't find a way to implement character unlock mechanics like in conventional fighting games. The unlock code is displayed when you beat the game, or you can just look it up on the internet 🎮 KOFM LV2 5.0 (Original Encrypted)
Compatibility: This is an executable installer. It might face issues running on modern systems like Windows 10 and 11.
Authenticity: Despite compatibility hurdles, this is the most accurate version available, officially released by Zelgadis.
The ''Mega Collection'' Issue: The version available in the Mega Collection is of somewhat questionable origin, and the ''select.def'' file has been edited to make the bosses playable, which is not possible in the original. The characters and stages were taken from a decrypted version of unknown origin; the only thing that could actually be decrypted from the official game was the screenpack (I don't know any methods to decrypt the .dat files that contain the characters).
The unlock code is displayed when you beat the game, or you can just look it up on the internet.
📂  The "old footage" folder has been updated
The test videos and trailers for KOFM Lv2 have been saved. As of this post, they are still available on the "kof memorial team games" YouTube channel, but if the videos get taken down like the KOF Memorial Lv1 beta trailer, at least they won't become lost media.
The KOF Memorial Lv1 beta had 3 trailers recorded on the old Zelgadis forum. One of them was posted on YouTube. I downloaded it and added it to the mega collection, but it is currently no longer on YouTube. However, the other 2 are lost because they were uploaded to Rapidshare at the time.
As for the records of version 6.0, I didn't think it was important to save them for now. As of the date of this post, version 6.0 is still in development and hasn't been released yet. 📌 Honoring the Original Work
As mentioned before, this pack aims to prioritize preservation. These listed bugs and quirks are normal given how old this classic fangame is. Zelgadis preferred to release this project encrypted for obvious reasons, and keeping it that way respects the history of the M.U.G.E.N community. Enjoy this trip down memory lane and help keep the scene alive!

Working on his first special, 'Tale Of The Shadow', a move where SKFM rolls forward in a buzzsaw, before ending with an axe-kick. The kick itself is still being worked on sprite-wise, but I like showing progress :V

it's not exactly the same version, but I found a version from 2008 on 4shared of which I mirrored for the sake of convenience. https://www.mediafire.com/file/4goa1jaohq9c0bb/kofz2008.zip/file

your antivirus may detect the launcher and game .exe files as malware but it's most likely a false positive.

Does anyone have this version of KOF ZILLION ? It looks like it was released between 2006 and 2007. There are only a few clips on YouTube (which I'll list below) and this image, which I found a link on a website that redirects to the old RapidShare, which has been shut down. If you search on YouTube for ''KOF Zillion Before:2008'', you can find several videos of this specific version. However, searching on Google yields no results. By accessing the closed Mugen China forum through the Wayback Machine, you can find a lot of saved content, even download links for this build that lead to a functional Badongo, net page. However, the download does not start. While practically the entire forum is preserved on the Wayback Machine, the build itself is not downloadable. If anyone has it, I would be very grateful. 😁
The links to some video recordings are below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8ZMbxbtm90 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQiIHNkwPuk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xW1uv5LKMY8

This character is for winmugen, however it will not work UNLESS you patch your mugen with the included 4 gig ram patcher. Once you do that he will load in winmugen with no problems. Quite the interesting character if I do say so. He is also 1.53 GB unzipped. Enjoy.

For my first solid foray into the MUGEN, I've opted to start with a Kung Fu Man edit that just kinda pokes fun at the EDGY DARK edits I've seen here and there.
He'll have a more custom playstyle with aesthetic inspiration from Guilty Gear: The Missing Link (you can see the literal Zato-1 sprites lmao.)
I am also providing his voice, because I want to make him sound like a whiny twit with Lemongrab energy, and I'd rather get a rusty pitchfork lobotomy than to ever use AI -ANYTHING-.

Gaulbetti reacted to jrm1007 - Rin in Anyone know how a stage causes Mugen to Not Respond indefinetly in 1.0?
Some Stages are created in an incredibly odd manner, that being, an incredibly small square being tiled to infinity. This will cause MUGEN to generate millions of these tiny squares in order to fill the screen. This causes major FPS issues and can be one manner of causing the Engine to cease up.

A Similar situation can occur if an Animation is set to "Tile" but does not have a "Tilespacing" value, causing the same animation to tile infinitely in the same spot, rather than spreading out as intended, this will cause millions of animations to tile in the same spot.

There can also be faulty coding for the BG Elements as well.
With Stages it's much easier to narrow down what could be causing the freeze, If you find out the stage that's causing issues, open it up and look for Sprite sizes and what not.
There's also a possibility of the SFF being corrupted.

Gaulbetti reacted to jrm1007 - Rin in Alpha Storm Screenpack: Proper 1.0/1.1b Port (Old 2023 Project)
    Localcoord is 640x480
This is an Old 2023 Project, a 1.0/1.1b Port of the Alpha Storm Screenpack by Glassbox.
Lifebar also made by Glassbox, ported to 1.0/1.1b by Rurouni, with a few tweaks to be more in line with the original.
It's an Old Project, and I really only properly finished "Normal", "Catagory" & "Personal" have visual issues, but are still fully functional.
I would've put more time into fixing Catagory and Personal, but this entire thing has been on my PC unfinished for so long, I wanted to finish the Normal Variant at least, and work on the other two later down the line.

Deciding how to handle the resolution was quite difficult. This was a WinMUGEN Plus screenpack, so the only Menu in 640x480 was the Character Select.
I decided to upscale everything to 640x480 to fit with the Selection Screen. This ended up working in my favor, since the ported Lifebar was also in the same Localcoord.

Inside are Templates for the "Personal" version, and the Special Lifebar Portraits can be found in the Lifebar Folder.
by default, the Normal Portrait version is used, because not every character you're gonna use will have a Portrait for the Lifebar.
I think I gave TOO much space for the Winquote Screen however, apologies in advance for that.

I fixed the Color Depth values for "Main" and "Mainoriginal" Fonts, so they will display properly in OpenGL.
Because of just how much was crammed into this DEF File, making ANY changes caused Fighter Factory to freeze for a full minute.
Due to this, I had use Notepad++ for basically everything, or I wouldn't get anywhere.

Gaulbetti reacted to musthe1 in HAPPA's Naruhodo-Kun (Phoenix Wright): Updated on 4/18/26
    New Update:

I added proper voices for the assist characters or prosecutors. Now they don't sound robotic or the same at all!
I also added extra collision boxes for Mitsurugi so that you can treat him as a punching bag.

Gaulbetti reacted to jrm1007 - Rin in Ultimate Hol Horse Edit - Original by y.y
y.y's Hol Horse is probably the ONLY character I've made two edits of, this was the first one.
"Ultimate" Hol Horse, is the dream character of all Hol Horse mains.

Giving him both the Hanged Man, and Boingo at his disposal to use in Battle, making him an unstoppable trolling force.
All he needs is proper AI and he'd be a NIGHTMARE to deal with.

Gaulbetti reacted to jrm1007 - Rin in MUGEN Unknown Screenpack - Proper 1.0|1.1b Support - Original made by gwa_pao/pao
An Edit of gwa_pao's "Unknown" Screenpack I did back in 2022, this adds proper 1.0/1.1b Support to the screenpack.

This Edit adds a Win Screen, a proper Congradulations Screen, proper Game Over/Continue Screens, and proper Survival Results
    No Credit stealing is intended

This one didn't get as much attention as Everything vs Everything, but I still like the overall aesthetic of the Screenpack, and decided it should get the same overall treatment, honestly. It originally was "ported" to 1.0, but barely, none of the new features supported, it was just the unedited WinMUGEN version, slapped onto a 1.0 build. None of the screens were fixed from the original either. This edit has been made to add the new features, as well as fix the screens.

Included with the Screenpack, is a few screenshots, and Stages based off the Menus.

    Some here-and-there fixes etc.:
     - Working link for Another Futaba: https://www.udrop.com/file/MeTi/A_F_MotherEarth_.rar
     - D4 (Pantsless) Griffon is by 青ドラネコ, 'mother earth' in that case is a stand-in name, as he likely uses mother earth's translated KFM as a base.
     - Luna's link leads to an empty folder.
     - Regarding Zero Hotaru, Arche and Mikage Sougetu are the same person.
     - Marco Black Belt should probably credit 'KaijuAoiro' rather than 'aoiro', mostly to avoid confusion with the other author named aoiro (lol).
     - Should probably be noted somewhere that STG's S-Marco is intended to be Soriz from Granblue Fantasy.
