  1. Rate your favorite original characters' move(s)! This topic serves as a tribute to all hard-working original character authors! Example and format: Super Mario's flying uppercut by ShinRyoga & NeOaNkH - FXs: A+ (the coin and its sound fit Mario very much!) - Effectiveness: B+ (this is a very good anti-air uppercut move, has high priority which is natural) - Range: B- (this is not a long distance move) - Offense: B+ (deals reason amount of damage and up to multiple hits and good for combos) - Defense: C- (just like other Shoryuken moves, not very defensive) - Motion: A+ (fluid and has natural velocities) - Originality: A+ Peketo's killer mode by Andres Borghi - FXs: A+ (the background turning bloody red and the GNG hum give a very thriller feel) - Effectiveness: A- (it starts up quick) - Range: A- (the head bouncing all over the place so I may call it a full screen move) - Offense: C- (deals reason amount of damage but not for combos) - Defense: B+ (the bouncing head can protect you to some extend) - Motion: A+ (fluid and has natural velocities) - Originality: A- Jinmen's F,D,B a/b move by souken - FXs: A- (the victim heads' scream during the counter sounds very tragic and dramatic) - Effectiveness: C+ (starts up slow) - Range: D- (very short range, basically Jinmen is just turning to his back) - Offense: C- (deals reason amount of damage but not for combos) - Defense: A+ (this is a counter move) - Motion: B- (not too fluid but okay) - Originality: C+
  2. @Yamitri2 & Laharl: Assume you guys haven't noticed and read my reply in my "" topic: And, don't worry, I am not mentally ill like a split personality. on-topic: I did not mean not-so-good quality = joke. I tried some quality joke MUGEN characters too. When SeSsHoMaGoKu23 mentioned, "the movements are choppy, the sound is not in sync, the super aint super,....", which can happen to any types of MUGEN characters.
  3. I once helped MUGENChina pals with some simple BOR stuff. But I am not familiar with BOR authoring at all. So O Ilusionista, comparing BOR to MUGEN, which one do you think is harder and more fun when it comes to authoring engine content stuff please?
  4. Overall an interesting MUGEN character! Has a unique taunt and cool looking win pose and some cute voices. Also got the solid Ryu-like moves and some cool accessories like the guard-counter move. A typical Ryu's female fan like Sakura I can say. Alright, my feedback is here: - you may want to check her throw alignment: - not sure if that is from the source game => after images after super move states: - not sure if that is from the source game => something about the crouching strong punch statedef 420: My educated guess: I understand you adjusted the red hit box to avoid air infinite. Yet when I tried to use this crouching normal move to hit a jump-in P2, it hardly hit P2 in air (it requires some pretty tight timing and P2 not being attacking low enough). Also, I found only the fireball special/super move is able to hit P2 when P2 is launched into the air by this crouching normal move. - The crouching light punch 2-in-1 combo issue => I had hard times pulling off crouching light punch 2-in-1 combo.........
  5. I guess they do that for a surprise? Like......especially on the April Fools' Day..........unless the MUGEN author is already well known by making and releasing joke MUGEN characters.
  6. Somehow I feel like some, if not all, of my MUGEN characters are joke characters. So if I am going to make and release a joke character then I have to label it "joke" in the first place to avoid your said confusion. Now I actually have a joke MUGEN character idea in my mind! Jotting down notes now.............

  14. Thank you all for your support and advice. I fully understand all your points. Yet, it is my personal decision to keep using my current MUGEN "boring" style, in my current MUGEN state. And, I think I have been spending too much time on explaining my MUGEN "boring" style, as well as talking my MUGEN past, so, I think from now on, I will try not to spend extra time on my MUGEN "boring" style explanation and my MUGEN past talk, rather, to spend more time on my "Sharing is Caring" MUGEN mission. Thank you all for your understanding and tolerance.

  16. Man Speedy9199 has the guts to do BlazBlue MUGEN character conversion while I do not have the guts to do so! And personally I think Speedy9199 is doing okay, just not so accurate conversion (super-hard to make an accurate BlazBlue MUGEN character!!! much harder than SF4/SSF4!!! well, accurate SF4/SSF4 MUGEN character conversion is not easy of course......only top MUGEN authors like Orbinaut (Mr. I) and Corntortillas (Violin Ken) can carry it out!!!), like me, I am also not able to do accurate MUGEN character conversion.........at least Speedy9199 is willing to try! I once defended him in MI/MFG but most people turned their black knight spears to me and Speedy9199, how cruel...........

My MUGEN stuff: - has half-assed ripped sprites and sounds - has half-assed MUGEN code - uses other people's works as bases - has silly MUGEN ideas - has only one pallete - has cheap, predictable, mockable A.I. - is strongly inaccurate - has no flashy FXs - and probably some more....... There are no taunt states/animations in Samurai Deeper Kyo (PSX). So, my SDK Shiina Yuya and SDK Mukurou have no action 195, and I just make them change state to action 0 whenever you try to press Start (statedef 195 ChangStated to statedef 0).

  24. Are sprite works related to MUGEN coding? I do not have any particular hatred towards any MUGEN coding, because I have not yet fully explored all of the MUGEN coding possibilities and capacities. If I had to pick some, then these (not hating, just feeling annoying): - in CMD file, the "shoryuken" command and state have to go prior to the "hadoken" command and state in order to work well, perhaps just me...... - HitDef sctrl spark parameters cannot take scaling for Hi-Res sparks; every time like this I have to use the Explod sctrl - Explod sctrl does not have some angle draw function; every time I want to AngleDraw I need to use the Helper sctrl - recursive triggers redirection is not supported - HitOverride sctrl slot parameter <========= I can never figure out how to use this thing...... - the old winmugen A.I. <========= that is the main reason I have totally switched to MUGEN1.0............
