  1. This is not a forum-to-forum issue anymore; it has been leveled up to member-to-member issue now. I once wrote, "no bashings = no rantings". This is not the "chicken or egg" debate, simply because bashings breed hatreds and hatreds breed rantings. Can human beings live in harmony? No! Even in small society like MUGEN communities harmony can hardly be seen and established. If someone sees a MUGEN release that he/she/it doesn't like, then he/she/it may just pass. There is no need to bash like no tomorrow. What can one gain by doing that? What if the basher gets bashed how will he/she/it feel? Fight back? Rage-quit? Return? Just an endless loop........like in MUGEN: [statedef 0] type = S physics = S sprpriority = 0 [state 0, 1] type = ChangeState trigger1 = 1 value = 0 .....* MUGEN .exe crashes * => * MUGEN communities/users crash *

  8. Well, DT2 character sprites are not that hard to rip due to the game's simplicity. The hardest part, and the uncontrollable part is, the sprite quality control. Basically it is "what I see is what I rip". From José Henrique's DT2 web site: DEVELOPMENT TOOLS (of DT2) Multimedia Fusion 2 Flash CS3 Photoshop CS3 Paper Coffee Pen Pencil I did some research on how to reverse-engineering Multimedia Fusion 2 executable file but nothing was successful. And Flash sprites are usually different from the work sprites' origin, now Flash sprites are even used in Multimedia Fusion 2, so the resulting graphics rendering goes with "2-layer". If José Henrique could release the "0-layer" (the Photoshop CS3 source sprite files), then my Custom DT2 Beatrix would be looking 100x better. As with the DT2 game itself, I haven't played the story mode yet. And it is really sad that José Henrique has stopped working on DT2 for long (at least in the public sense). I wish he will add voices in the future because my Custom DT2 Beatrix lacks of any voices. Yeah, Kill Bill is the sole reason for me to have chosen The Bride as my first DT2-to-MUGEN attempt!

If the sprites look great but the gameplay is not cool, then there is still a hope of fixes by other decent MUGEN creators/authors who care. If the sprites look not cool but the gameplay is great, then the hope of fixes can only be put up to by the spriters/spriter rippers who make/rip. So, the case #1 seems to be a one-to-many relations, while the case #2 seems to be a one-to-one relations. Of course different spriters/spriter rippers might work together to make case #1&#2 have a many-to-many relations, yet its probability of happening is quite small.....for example, I don't know how to draw sprites, I only do sprite-ripping by my own if the sprites are not available anywhere anyhow. When I release a hard-to-rip-and-sprites-quality-not-cool MUGEN stuff, it is normal for people to say, "hey your ripped sprites look like craps." I don't quite mind that. What I mind more is, when people say, "hey your MUGEN ideas suck dinosaur toe forever, I don't accept your fixes and you should stop your MUGEN'ing now!". I can never understand why some people love to intentionally discourage the others like that. These people are worse than those germs that make people suck. What do they gain by doing that? What if they receive the same discouragements? By the way, IMHO sprites are involved in a kind of like a subjective judgements, while gameplays are involved in a kind of like an objective judgements. It is kind of like Arts vs Sciences.

Is hentai going this way too? - looked at a hentai item in like 1980, put it under you bed for keeping for years, during like 1990-2013 you came across with many newer hentai items, all of a sudden one day in 2014 you discovered the old 1980 one under your bed, when you did comparison would you have some....hmmmm......special feeling? (sorry my English is not good enough to make my sentences simpler and more meaningful, hope you could get it.........)

I notice what you meant now. 1) the HitAdd MUGEN state controller should not be put in the P2 custom get-hit StateDef 412, rather, it should be put in the P1 StateDef 410 (if the anim = 410 lasts long enough), [state 410, HitAdd] type = HitAdd triggerall = P2StateNo = 413 || EnemyNear, StateNo = 413 trigger1 = 1 value = 1 persistent = 0 a resulting MUGEN screen shot: or in P1 StateDef -2/-3 somewhere..... 2) after 1) alternation, if P1 StateDef 410 animation is not long enough to last before then the combo counter will reset when P1 leaves Statedef 410 3) or I think you might need to make a "finishing state or follow-up state" for P1 StateDef 410 with hitdefpersist / movehitpersist / hitcountpersist, or an extra jump-after-launcher state.......

The combo counter showed the total number of hits = 3, which included the one by the initial Launcher Heavy StateDef 410 of yours. Looks and feels alright to me..... So, would you please post your P2 custom Action animations #411 and #413?

Was this what you meant? - blood sparks originally in red color - when fighting against, like Ryu, use the original red color - when fighting against, like Ken, change the original red color to green color - when fighting against, like Chun-Li, change the original red color to blue color - ......................so on.............. Not tested yet, just a quick thought: use some MUGEN state controller Helper, using the blood sparks animation for the Helper's anim, then in the Helper use some PalFx MUGEN state controller to change the RGB of the used blood sparks animation, based on the value given to some P2Name MUGEN Triggers, i.e. trigger1 = P2Name = "Ryu" or trigger1 = P2Name = "Ken",......etc. I remember Boomer's OMK MUGEN characters are using this way to change those beneath-the-player VFXs........
