Lately, I’ve been playing these games every weekend:
 
"The King of Fighters 10th Anniversary"—which is essentially a hack of KOF 2002. I should mention that I play the original hack, though; I don't like the "2005 UNIQUE" version, as it completely ruins the concept of the original.
 
"Metal Slug 3"—I usually finish it with an average of eight continues... on difficulty level 4, by the way.
 
"Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire" (also known as "Darkstalkers 3"). My favorite characters are Anakaris, Baby Bonnie Hood, and maybe Rikuo. I really like the game, but I hate certain inputs—like the 360 or 720-degree joystick rotations, which I usually mess up, or the moves requiring a specific button sequence with precise timing (otherwise, nothing happens). It’s a great game, but the input execution frustrates me to no end.
 
"Rival Schools: United by Fate"—I know how to play as every character, and I find the game entertaining. My favorite thing to do is try to land crouching grabs; the only way to pull it off is to anticipate when the CPU might crouch and execute the move just a split-second beforehand—otherwise, it's impossible to time it right.
 
"PhotoY2k"—a game where you have to spot the differences between two images. After clearing ten levels, I find it impossible because the time limit is so tight. I managed to reach level 16 once by a miracle, but that was a one-off.
 
"Tetris"—well, who doesn't know Tetris? Like the previous game, I don't last very long. I play the version with the ROM name "atetris" on the MAME emulator.
 
Games I play occasionally:
 
"MUGEN"—I haven't played it much lately, but whenever I do, I spend the whole time losing and using continues over and over—even though I feel like I play reasonably well. Some of the characters are absolutely merciless. The last opponent I really struggled against was "Wii Sports Matt" by creator Alexander Cooper 19. I miraculously managed to beat him—I even recorded the match and uploaded it to YouTube. There’s another character who gives me a lot of trouble: Majin-Etna, by creator nankotsu_curry. I might just decide to make a video about them in the same style.

I think my favorite retro game series is The King of Fighters, the old ones like '97, '98, '99, 2000, 2001, 2002. I really enjoy play them... At least against the CPU. I never have been good playing with other people, I usually get my ass kicked at online games. Most people on Fightcade has gotten high level through the years and I never have been pretty skilled at controlls  In fact I've learned that in some cases is impossible cancel normal attacks into Desperation Moves unless the use of shortcuts or buffers. There's no way to comboing into supers in KOF without ussing buffers so is very tricky to say the less.
 
Sometimes I play KOF 2003 as well but unfortunately most of shortcuts of previous games don't work anymore so is even harder to combo into supers. I don't know what the hell were thinking the developers. Also physics were worsened... Anyway sometimes I play it just for being a big fan of the series.
 
Metal Slug series also have a special place in my heart.

Well, the other day I played a bit of MUGEN 1.0 using the default Elecbyte screenpack (motif MUGEN1 localcoord = 1280,720) and I ran into problems with a certain stage. Here's a screenshot I took afterward.
 

 
So, since this is MUGEN 1.0, and as we know, MUGEN 1.0 doesn't use OpenGL, that means there's no way to fix the stages, right?

Hello! My name is Aconite and I have been into MUGEN since the early 2010's (legitimately since I was a little kid LOL). I have attempted to make characters, I've made some stages, I may or may not have destroyed my family computer when I was a kid from accidentally downloading malicious files while searching for MUGEN characters, and I've also made some MUGEN content on Youtube!

Some days ago I was watching movies on VHS format using an old and heavy CRT TV. In the morning I watched "Street Fighter: Ultimate Battle" and at night I watched "Fantasia" a Disney movie... I consider that watching this type of video format on a CRT TV is more suitable than using a flat screen. The Street Fighter movie with Jean-Claude Van Damme has a terrible plot but I consider it to be a film for younger audiences (children), and Fantasia  was sublime and extremely nostalgic to watch for me. Wow, the years have flown by!

During a MUGEN battle on WinMugen this error message popped out. A lot of times that happens to me but  mainly just when WinMugen tries to load a char that for some unknown reason simply fails when playing Arcade mode. This screenshot was taken from Watch Mode, though.

This is the old version of Parace L' Sia by "incurable" but AI patched by Silvan. She has some added sprites when she is damaged in some cases, also her orbs look smaller. Her final defeat sprite is a nude (NSFW) sprite. She doesn't have compatibility with aggressors, though.
