I forgot to mention this about the character after April 1st :P
It was supposed to be an April Fools release in that the update wasn't just a close range "smashing board attack"
In this update I'll list the new stuff now, though this is really late to share....
-New master sword (ALTTP Cover art master sword version)
-Poe Fire Lantern
-Hammer (updated w/falling rubble damage)
-Hookshot replaced w/Ball & Chain attack from new zelda game
-Freezing Ice jar
-shield pegasus dash replaced w/Minish Cap roll & sword attack
-Roks feather superjump replaced with Roks feather tornado sweep
-plain arrows, ice arrows, fire arrows, & ice arrows replaced with Thunder Arrows
New specials can be performed by pressing
B,B, Punch or Kick
OR
F,F, Punch or Kick
other specials by the usual
B,DB,D,DF,F + Punch Or Kick
OR
F,DF,D,DB,B + Punch Or Kick
And there is a new Hyper move Involving Link's Golden Armor.Update NEWS:

How? By adding crap that makes little to no sense whatsoever like you did? By creating moves that are too over-the-top to be believable?
As stated in the past, it can look good all it wants, if the gameplay sucks no one wants it. If you add stuff that doesn't fit with the character, then don't bother calling the character by his name. And you're comparing yours to the KingCharz version? That's an insult to the KingCharz version, and it isn't even that great.
I didn't mention kingcharz? The only Links I've mentioned are yours (ours), my updated version, Cvs abstract & Cvs Artist version and this Link
None of these are Kingcharz.

I could be wrong about this but I believe cvs artist commissioned cvs abstract to make those sprites for him and I think cvs artist did say he was making that character in a thread somewhere in mmv with cvs abstract as the artist. I was so shot down by its awesome quality that I even quit my Link temporarily until i was convinced to continue it.

But why convince me of it, PM him yourself, I don't know why it's taken so long. I'm no longer worried myself because I made him so different that now he has originality value like MvC Link by RMX, Silencer, Eikichi, & Mike Werewolf.
I just hope that cvs abstract/artist version doesn't have your moveset though because his sprites are far superior than our Link's sprites. Just saying man, you should spice things up before CVS Link comes out. -

I was thinking of doing a stage from kirby 64. I wanted to do a snowy mountain of icecream and snow with crystal rock shards. I need oen for a game I'm cooking up.
I know you're a great stage maker Blizzard Buffalo. Perhaps you could do one for me if you have the time? I'm not really a Kirby expert at all and I don't know a much as you do.
I may be making a Kirby character int he future though.

It's an april fools release done early because I'll be offline tomorrow.
However I will admit it was inspired by all the talk weeks ago. My interest was sparked again and I got some new ideas after revisiting my old wip thread over at guild and mmv.
Just for the record though I did this update because the whole CvS artist/abstact version that will be coming in the future will undoubtedly replace mine, as I've been saying for years, which is why i beefed this one up in hopes of pleasing the downloader enough to keep both this and cvs artist/absract versions.
and just saying this to no one in particular...It's great to try originally new ideas never seen before because they're interesting imo

Anyway, i look forward to your next update anonymous creator because I bet you'll do something awesome in your update! XD

Someone recommended to me a long time ago that I give Link a smashing board attack based on a youtube "dorkly" episode where Link never got the sword.
In the same thread I brought up how Link was difficult to use and I finally came to realize that the reason he was complicated in combat was because he had no close range attacks but rather only long range sword attacks. The original base had some close range attacks but they were not converted into the character, such as the kick.
Recently i was watching about the
Ulfberht
and in this video I learned that shield fighting was used a lot, as much as the sword actually. The shield attack activates in Link when he is really close to his opponent.

Yeah, what volzzilla said.
It's not the first time I brought this up to NJ either. I've encouraged him to make sprites himself and I even spent one on one time with him in private to show him what i do and guided him step by step to make something.
Since then though he hasn't continued to sprite and instead left it to others to do. A little disappointing but I still encourage him to do more.
When I started Link (Zelda) character, this new CvS Link was shown to me and I was seriously considering quitting my wip but then I decided, maybe if I tried doing different and more creative stuff that it be worth checking out.
I've suggested the same to NJ and he isn't taking it too well.

Ax... I can't believe what you just said about people erasing Jonamite's Link as soon as your version comes out ... I'm sorry I have to say this and this is DEFINITELY NOT ME to go out like this... but you are one big jerk ass f*** who obviously don't give a damn about other people's hard works/creations. That was the most UNFORGIVABLE statement you made! In all my time on a MUGEN forum I have NEVER seen such a wit-less, cold, jerkass statement from someone like you! I may have the ability to make and release a character in a matter of hours but I will never say something like "Mine is better so people will never play yours again"! I look forward to see what the Boss has to say about your statement.
I never said the new CVS Link (Zelda) coming out was mine. That's someone else doing that wip.
Also read the whole thing before jumping on the band wagon and see that my comment got completely taken out of context.

I just gave feedback. I never rallied against someone's feedback on any of these threads to ban them for stuff they said to me. I don't get it? Others can tell me that I'm terrible but I can't tell others whether they are good or terrible?
btw what does mmv have to do with this? It sounds like someone is trying to start a flamewar over forums now. I'm just answering questions and giving my opinion when asked about it. (For the record I came from mfg originally and I've moved from forum to forum)

I was just showing NJ that with nothing unique in his version that his character will get replaced. Which apparently you just proved by your statement. Anyway, What's so bad about that? I'm just telling the guy that he better try harder to stay in the game. The same message I get from others, "Ax try harder because your characters lack...or aren't good because..." *paraphrasing of course because what was actually said involved cursing and was much worse towards me lol* Though I take it well and I say thanks for the feedback + I'll consider it. Then i move on.
NJ isn't taking my feedback well. Okay; moving on. Sorry I answered him. I won't give you feedback ever again. I closed it to with "no ill will" a.k.a. Peace.
In the end I am just encouraging NJ. My comments are being taken out of context and being made to look slanderous rather than the scenario it's being depicted in the example I gave.

But yeah, he doesn't whip out the leaf itself. And the leaf doesn't look like this:
I used a different design based on chip 'n dales rescue rangers, ... I think? I know I saw it somewhere in some old cartoon like that. I remember it functioned better as a traditional leaf because it looked like a surf board in it's elongated and pointed shape.
I was even thinking to have Link steer the leaf by having one hand on the stem, kinda like the green goblin or Aladdin on his magic carpet.
Link has had many items and he has had different leaves.
The leaf I made was non-canon but it i liked it because it was new and different. not everybody likes it i guess but i think it's unique and useful sometimes.

Okay, now you're just proving my point of how you're an ungrateful asshole. The only other Links available on the download market are ranging between crap and meh. I worked my butt off to make the best possible Link available using your sprites, and gaining a few edits from aperson98, and you have the nerve to say that it's a terrible character because of ONE move? PoshPsylocke didn't mind if I used his versions of the cast of Sailor Moon, and he never complained if I changed something to work better than what he did.
I gave you a freaking chance when I wanted to pick up Link, but you didn't want to provide ANYTHING I was requesting when I needed sprites or animations. You sprited him, you could have done a few expansions based on an author's request, and you basically told me to either do it myself or fuck off. I now have a guy redoing your sprites to make your original versions look more accurate to his usual design and have a better appearance overall, and it's because of an aesthetic complaint. You seem to be the only one complaining about his gameplay.
You know what? Fuck it. If this is what I'm to expect from spriters that create shit releases, I'm not even going to bother with making any more characters. I may not be the best coder, but at least people bothered to try my stuff and actually enjoy it. Delete the best possible version of Link available if you want, but you're doing yourself a disservice by thinking the next one to come around will be better.
Whoa! No need to be upset, I simply don't like your work, it's nothing against you personally. Your anger is uncalled for. I appreciate that you tried and fixed stuff but I see nothing new worth downloading. I'm just saying to you what I've always have been saying to you and that is to take a chance, make some sprites yourself. You play it safe too much and you do nothing exciting. Your work is bland, it functions well but it's bland. I even spent an hour showing you how to do it yourself.
I recently downloaded your character again and it's hardly that different from what that other coder did all ready before it was passed on to you.
Also take a look at the Link that is going to replace yours.
If it's going to play just like yours then I doubt they'll bother downloading yours.
When I saw this I said to myself, I better do something interesting and exciting rather than the normal Link because no one is gonna bother with mine if it's gonna have the same attacks like that one. So I got creative and tried new ideas just so it could be desirable.
Saturnfrost did another version so it has a chance but yours could easily be replaced one day.
But anyway, that's just my critique. Take it or leave it, it's up to you.

But com'on, that's creativity right there, taking an old idea and making it new. Besides a bomb drop from a safe distance in fly mode works. As for the tri-force slash, it's too plain, it might as well be a regular combo. You can do better.
btw you do know someone is all ready gonna do a better quality Link CvS style Link that is all ready gonna have all that stuff you worked so hard on to add to this one, right?
The reason I went different and creative on new and old ideas was so the difference would be desirable for the downloader to keep both.

yeah the delta = is unchanged. make the delta from .03 into 1 and that should fix the problem.

In the middle of the night I awoke several times still very sleepy with various weird stuff happening around me and I saw it as a sign to pick up my bible in this moment of fear; so i randomly opened up a page and I ended up on James. After reading a bit on it wherever my finger had landed on I read some things that got me thinking.
I was reading about how a man's tongue or words are basically poisonous and that he has no right to judge others or what they do and this just spoke to me of the current events right now and the stuff from the past

So basically the stuff I said needed to be said but I should not have been the one to say it because I myself did the things I called out on others and it's really hard for me to come to terms with this but I was and am wrong for judging others as well as mfg when I myself was not clean myself to have said those things that I said.
I'm a hypocrite and a pharisee.
So because of what I've done I'll be judged the same and I will be condemned as is my reasoning from what I read. So to this end I say again, sorry I judged you all about idolatry, I had no right to judge you on that since I myself am still sinning in this and have found myself unable to stop. Also to NJ/ThatIdahoGuy, I am sorry for judging your work when my own work is far beyond perfect. I should have known better and I slipped up, I tried taking my judgements with a smile and I slipped up and maybe somewhere inside of me I took it out on you, I don't know for sure but I think that's why I have this guilt and feeling of sin. I hate this about mugen because no matter what I do somehow pride always comes up when I do mugen; as hard as I try to kill it I feel it sometimes.
I'm still reading the bible and the more I read it the more I realize of how little I know.
I'm a dope and I apologize for my stupidity. Sorry again. Also I forgive those that slandered me in various places, or spoke truthfully about me in that case lol, I forgive them in hopes that I can be forgiven, as the prayer says I should pray.

Also for some of my anti-gay remarks. Although some were correct I did not fully do them in love but in hate and that's not what I should have done or said. I still firmly believe that it's wrong but I should not have suggested radical ideas of purging the confused and ill brothers and sisters who need help. I should have just left it as someone should help them and nothing more than that.
Basically I said something before in the past which can be comparable to a normal guy teasing a blind man on the street. I should not have done that. I should have offered help instead.
