Werewood reacted to GohanSSM2 in Working on getting back into MUGEN again
Been real busy over the last year with more drama at work than MUGEN ever dreamt of. On top of that I've been working on so many different projects that I haven't had extra time (and still don't really). I'm working on updating my music library (http://www.theeaceman.com/phonemusic.doc) as well as upgrading my computer itself (http://www.theeaceman.com/pooter.doc) in addition to working at the local airport, getting back into playing guitar, reading, riting, and rithmetic, and all that. Recently moved my book site to http://www.theeaceman.com and thenewmathbook site still up in the air (may or may not renew it depending on how things work out). How's your day going?
Oops, and also, the page dedicated to "you won't get it on the first try but hang in there till you learn more" is still at http://www.gohanssm.com/mugen.html
And another note, the old sites I had were limiting in what I could/couldn't do. The new sites gohanssm and theeaceman allow me a lot more freedom and with that I can FINALLY work on getting my sites back up to snuff.

Werewood got a reaction from Moneyspider_Todd in Screenshots Mffa Style
If I am going to convert any more SFIV character(s) to MUGEN, then that "SFIV Haggar (actually a Zangief with Haggar skin mod) is not of the top priority. I think I might try to do that "SFIV Haggar" only when most of my 2013 and current MUGEN WIPs are done.
This one has higher priority in my SFIV mugenization list, on the other hand:
By the way, nice MUGEN stage you are testing!

Werewood reacted to HALE R@CE CAES@R in Earthquake by R@CE AKIR@
Earthquake Get him here - https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=A3DA5D9E084F7896%21108 Note 1: For Mugen 1.0 or Higher only Note 2: This is not an accurate Earthquake whatsoever, it is a custom version of him that takes some elements he had in previous games and also adds something new as well. Note 3: Check the config file to see changes that can be made into the character. -
Werewood got a reaction from Duralminn in MUGENGERS Video Series
The bugs in which Red Arcueid was missed and dislocated during Custom OMK Beatrice's cat-box super move, and her shoulder tower Meta super move bug. I think her 2014-05-08 update has already fixed these two (2) bugs. Let me double check.........

Werewood reacted to Basara-kun in He Who Sleeps Now Awakens: Shuma-Gorath's Definitive Update
All you know Shuma-Gorath and the version I released for "The End of the World" (12/22/12), it was unfinished and with just a few moves ready. Well, after months of hard work, I finally finished this awesome monster from Marvel vs. Capcom series with all the stuff I wanted for him and even more!! Here's the update list taken from his readme:
And now... the mandatory shots: I hope you enjoy this new version, I personally feel like I would remake completely the character, maybe you can feel that, too. So, enjoy him ;) THIS DIMENSION BELONGS TO ME NOW!! Chars -> Adaptations ------------------------------------------------------------
SG UPDATED!!!!

Werewood got a reaction from MisterMackey in Is spriting more important than gameplay?
>> What if I make an Atari ET character using the sprites from ET for Atari?
You tried DJ HANNIBALROYCE's and RoySquadRocks' MUGEN stuff? If you can be creative like both of them, then I think it does not matter what source games you take to make for MUGEN.
>> but whwen people hate the character overall because of the sprites when they don't talk about the gameplay and the sprites
It can not be denied that the first-impression of everything (not just MUGEN) is some ticket to any entrances.
If the sprites look great but the gameplay is not cool, then there is still a hope of fixes by other decent MUGEN creators/authors who care.
If the sprites look not cool but the gameplay is great, then the hope of fixes can only be put up to by the spriters/spriter rippers who make/rip.
So, the case #1 seems to be a one-to-many relations, while the case #2 seems to be a one-to-one relations. Of course different spriters/spriter rippers might work together to make case #1 have a many-to-many relations, yet its probability of happening is quite small.....for example, I don't know how to draw sprites, I only do sprite-ripping by my own if the sprites are not available anywhere anyhow. When I release a hard-to-rip-and-sprites-quality-not-cool MUGEN stuff, it is normal for people to say, "hey your ripped sprites look like craps." I don't quite mind that. What I mind more is, when people say, "hey your MUGEN ideas suck dinosaur toe forever, I don't accept your fixes and you should stop your MUGEN'ing now!". I can never understand why some people love to intentionally discourage the others like that. These people are worse than those germs that make people suck. What do they gain by doing that? What if they receive the same discouragements?
By the way, IMHO sprites are involved in a kind of like a subjective judgements, while gameplays are involved in a kind of like an objective judgements. It is kind of like Arts vs Sciences.

Wondering by any chance that certain sprite-style could it be the one starting with the big "C" and follows by two (2) more alphabets?

Werewood got a reaction from llyyr in NEW RULE! (04.04.2014)
This is not a forum-to-forum issue anymore; it has been leveled up to member-to-member issue now.
I once wrote, "no bashings = no rantings". This is not the "chicken or egg" debate, simply because bashings breed hatreds and hatreds breed rantings.
Can human beings live in harmony? No! Even in small society like MUGEN communities harmony can hardly be seen and established. If someone sees a MUGEN release that he/she/it doesn't like, then he/she/it may just pass. There is no need to bash like no tomorrow. What can one gain by doing that? What if the basher gets bashed how will he/she/it feel? Fight back? Rage-quit? Return? Just an endless loop........like in MUGEN:
[statedef 0]
type = S
physics = S
sprpriority = 0
[state 0, 1]
type = ChangeState
trigger1 = 1
value = 0
.....* MUGEN .exe crashes * => * MUGEN communities/users crash *

Werewood reacted to Toshio Tenma in Is spriting more important than gameplay?
I prefer a character which focus in both spriting and coding.
An awesome looking char might be frustrating if the coding is badly done.

Werewood got a reaction from rockocalypse in Turn Battle health regen
I tried this in my MUGEN1.0 Team VS and it seems working:
Put the following lines MUGEN code under your CNS' [statedef -2] line:
[state -2, VarSet]
type = VarSet
triggerall = TeamMode = turns
trigger1 = P2Life != 0 && EnemyNear, Alive = 1
v = 55 ;you may want to use other variable number if #55 has been already used....
value = Life
ignorehitpause = 1
[state -2, LifeSet]
type = LifeSet
triggerall = TeamMode = turns
trigger1 = Win
value = var(55) ;you may want to use other variable number if #55 has been already used....
ignorehitpause = 1
