I tried out Ky's edit of Squirtle a while ago, but I can't remember if it was better or not. I'm lead to believe the character was made more conventional to an extent. Critical hit and the status icons are pretty good ideas. I completely forgot about critical hits actually. I was wondering while playing as his Honchkrow, why it was doing that. Common criticism in fighting games is about anything luck-based, which is pretty much what critical hits are. It's up to you in the end, obviously. Posted September 27, 2014 Share Posted September 27, 2014 SF2 has very random damage, dizzy and even execution windows spreads, but...they toned that down a lot as Capcom refined fighting game design. Shingo in KOF 98 actually has a critical hit ability, but that's mostly to offset him being a joke character. Melty Blood also has this as a universal mechanic, if you like that game. The problem is figuring out what to sacrifice for the sake of fairness. Author(s): Jetgoshi & Dylanius9000 According to the creators, this version's Specials and Hypers will be based on various moves Greninja is able to use in the games it has appeared in, with those that it used in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U being similar to their appearances in that game, though with minor tweaks.
