KorosKoros Posted September 1, 2025 Posted September 1, 2025 Lately for me it's been Team Fortress 2 and Mugen. I occasionally play some Doom 2 mods through a launcher from time to time. Haven't really had an "emulator games" itch since I completed both PS1 Suikoden games 2 years ago. But that could change. Thanks for sharing all the links to the games you are playing @InfinitySyndicate InfinitySyndicate 1 Spoiler

InfinitySyndicate Posted August 11 Author Posted August 11 Played Donkey Kong Country last week on my Steam Deck, along with these games https://thesyndicate.zone/2025-2/game-week/week-22/: TLDR, Luigi mansion, Mario 2Dyssey and Odyssey (Ch1) lagged a lot, shame. The others played perfect on the steam deck. I uhhhhhhh also got co-op working for the GBA in big picture mode for the steam deck. Afterplay is still being worked on for multiplayer but No$GBA works. You install via Lutris via Desktop (I FORGOT TO UPLOAD THE RECORDING BEFORE DELETING IT), modify the controls and other options and save options (DO NOT ADD MORE EMULATED GAMEBOYS, IT WILL CRASH). Create a desktop shortcut. Add that shortcut to Steam. Boot back into big picture and modify the controls to match new controls, Modify the bottom right stick as a mouse with left click, also add a shortcut to load a file and to open emulation options. Then boom, you have this timestamp at 41:27. I also played Donkey Kong.
LATER HERO Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Lately, I’ve been playing these games every weekend: "The King of Fighters 10th Anniversary"—which is essentially a hack of KOF 2002. I should mention that I play the original hack, though; I don't like the "2005 UNIQUE" version, as it completely ruins the concept of the original. "Metal Slug 3"—I usually finish it with an average of eight continues... on difficulty level 4, by the way. "Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire" (also known as "Darkstalkers 3"). My favorite characters are Anakaris, Baby Bonnie Hood, and maybe Rikuo. I really like the game, but I hate certain inputs—like the 360 or 720-degree joystick rotations, which I usually mess up, or the moves requiring a specific button sequence with precise timing (otherwise, nothing happens). It’s a great game, but the input execution frustrates me to no end. "Rival Schools: United by Fate"—I know how to play as every character, and I find the game entertaining. My favorite thing to do is try to land crouching grabs; the only way to pull it off is to anticipate when the CPU might crouch and execute the move just a split-second beforehand—otherwise, it's impossible to time it right. "PhotoY2k"—a game where you have to spot the differences between two images. After clearing ten levels, I find it impossible because the time limit is so tight. I managed to reach level 16 once by a miracle, but that was a one-off. "Tetris"—well, who doesn't know Tetris? Like the previous game, I don't last very long. I play the version with the ROM name "atetris" on the MAME emulator. Games I play occasionally: "MUGEN"—I haven't played it much lately, but whenever I do, I spend the whole time losing and using continues over and over—even though I feel like I play reasonably well. Some of the characters are absolutely merciless. The last opponent I really struggled against was "Wii Sports Matt" by creator Alexander Cooper 19. I miraculously managed to beat him—I even recorded the match and uploaded it to YouTube. There’s another character who gives me a lot of trouble: Majin-Etna, by creator nankotsu_curry. I might just decide to make a video about them in the same style. Anyway... If I happen to do a YouTube livestream playing games, I’ll probably share the video here. That’s all for now!
