Hey guy' Im gonna update the forum.

Im giving everyone a early warning, for some reason or other when I update the forum some themes get messed up.
just a warning.

Version 4.1.3.2 of the IPS Community Suite is now available.

 

4.1.3.2 fixes an XSS issue reported to us in Blog. We would like to thank batpool52! for responsibly disclosing this issue to us.

This release contains security updates.

Version 4.1.3.1 of the IPS Community Suite is now available.

 

This is a maintenance release to fix common reported issues.

Some changes also include:

• Mass import and exporting of members
• We have started making adjustments to account for MySQL 5.7 changes to GROUP BY
• Worked around a bug in MySQL that was causing core_notifications table to crash
• Warning reasons fixed
• AWS S3 file storage fixed on some hosts
• Adjustment for search minimum length

 

Version 4.1.2 of the IPS Community Suite is now available.

 

This is a maintenance release to fix common issues reported in 4.1.1. Some specifics include:

• Some clients report errors creating a new forum or member group
• Missing profile photos fixed
• More compatibility for auto-upgrader on different zip libraries
• Faster fetching of AWS S3 file sizes

Version 4.1.1 of the IPS Community Suite is now available.

 

This is a maintenance release to fix common issues reported by clients in 4.1.0.

A change has been made to the theme system so themes with out of date templates do not result in a fatal error in most cases. Instead, you will see a notice explaining which templates are out of date and causing problems. You can choose to either fix/revert those specific templates or create a default theme to use temporarily while you work on your custom theme.

Version 4.1.0 of the IPS Community Suite is now available.

 

The next major release for IPS Community Suite 4 is now in the final stages of development. We have added dozens of new features, enhancements to existing features, fixed the majority of 4.0 bugs, and made large performance gains. See our blog entry for full information.

• New menu structure and drag-and-drop menu manager
  • Ability to have two menu levels
  • Option to create both custom-link menu items and embed preconfigured menus
  • Preview before publishing
  • All menu items support group permissions
• Discovery system that allows for both admin and user created Activity Streams
  • Admin-defined streams always visible to users. Users can edit and save admin streams to create their own, custom copy.
  • The main show-all stream automatically tells you when there is new activity
  • Users can create custom streams
  • User streams can be shared but viewer will only see content based on their permissions
  • Filter options include:
    • All content or specific apps. Some apps support further refinement into categories or content-type.
    • Unread content
    • Ownership
      • Content I posted in
      • Content I started
      • Content by specific members (user can create a list)
    • Content I follow
      • Areas I follow
      • Specific content I follow

      • Any time
      • Since my last visit

  • Activity Streams that reference features not available to Guests such as unread tracking and follow system will auto-hide
• Option to serve images via a local proxy script (useful for SSL sites)
• Option to globally disallow remote images in posts
• Ability to preview email template wrapper
• Version number in AdminCP header
• Selective quoting to highlight a bit of a post and quote just that
• Pages application enhancements
  • Now installs with better default content to help new users
  • Pages menu manager removed in favor of Suite-wide menu manager. Upgrade system will attempt to preserve menu items.

    • Ability to export and import templates to share with other IPS4 communities

  • Images and movies are submitted to the same upload field

  • Uses div-mode which is much faster and more reliable. Clicking into the editor is now pretty much instant.
  • Auto-linking and member mentions to use new APIs for better reliability
  • Quotes, code boxes, and spoilers can be dragged and moved and there is no more "red line"
  • When cmd/ctrl right-clicking: options to remove or break-out of quotes, edit links and edit image properties
  • Pasting asks if you want to convert to plain text
  • Totally new code plugin with syntax highlighting as you type
  • Option to make enter behave as a new line rather than with spacing

  • The main search box defaults to the app you are currently browsing unless you are on home page where it searches all

  • Results now highlight and skip to search term in preview
• Retina emoticons
• Ability to uncheck all when adding Moderators in AdminCP
• Instant Notifications
  • Receive notifications via your Browser Notifications of new Personal Messages and anything in the notifications menu
  • Intelligent auto-polling that only polls when needed to reduce server traffic
  • Browser local storage used, to allow for cross-communication if you have multiple tabs open to further reduce resource use
• We now require a minimum PHP version of 5.4 though we do suggest at least 5.6. Version 5.4 will be supported for a short period of time as it is also EOL.

 

No Longer Included

• Areas such as View New Content, My Content, My Followed Content, Status page and so on are replaced by the new Activity Streams
• Sphinx is no longer supported as an alternative search engine. We are evaluating alternative search technology for a future release.
• Changes to the eAccelerator made it incompatible with IPS Community Suite so support has been removed.

So this update has happened.

As you all know the forum template broke, but our lovable Alexei fixed it. (I would use your forum name but the damn russian letters prohibit me from doing so... ya jerk!)

I've added several new Onion Emotes, as well as separated Onion from Meme emotes.

I've also spruced up the post editor box which you may all notice when posting.

I added the new Forum Icon (favicon)

New forum Logo as well (I know some of you have issues with it not being long enough but honestly... why do you have such a big display huh??? HUH!?!? why not be like us regular people who can't afford the fancy monitor and be happy The awesome logo is back.)

OH and the last thing I did was (I just noticed it now, maybe its new) I added the option so when you press ENTER, it goes to the next line, instead of next 2 lines.

Apparently there was a setting so when you press ENTER, it would go to NEXT PARAGRAPH, but now its set to NEXT LINE.

Ah good, the spoiler tag's back.

Would it be possible to give the spoilered content a transparent background? On the Deviant theme, the text colour blends in with the spoiler background, making it impossible to read without highlighting it.

Why is the new content button gone? It made it so easy to search the whole site, I'd click on new content since my last visit and I could see everything from all the sub forums that I haven't read (the unread button doesn't do the same thing and works way worse.) Now it's gone and I have to go into each individual sub forum to see what is new. Plus before I could just click on view content I haven't read yet or view content from the past 24 hrs/week/month/etc. It doesn't seem like I can do that now. I don't know, for me the site is WAY harder to use now, I don't understand why you would take away things like this that make the site easier to navigate and easier to see the most recent content all in one place. Seems like usability has been taken away and I don't understand what was gained by doing that. Maybe I'm missing something I don't know...

Oh yeah! I wanted to ask if you are able to import these other Onion Emoticons to the forum:

 

 

 

..Unless their is a limit in adding Icons then don't worry about it...

 

Also is it possible to fix the Quoting on the replies. when i quote someone its hard( or you can't)  see their messages when you reply to them which makes it hard to edit.

So that was a lot of words I dont understand when grouped together. The Site still has some bugs however, for instance I still dont get 1 click blowjobs when logged in the site..............Imma need that fixed or the consequences will be over-exaggerated and unnecessary

It's not completely gone. At the top there is a Activity tab, click that and from there you can get new content and stuff you asked about.

Ugh, quotes are ugly too apparently in the editor. IPS really needs to stop f*cking with my theme. >:(
