  1. Well.....Trump signed it :/

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnet.com/google-amp/news/trump-signs-bill-repealing-us-internet-privacy-rules/

But, as what @Beautiful Futanari Grace said, the ISP's have reassured, in a newer post: http://www.isportstimes.com/articles/26951/20170403/comcast-at-t-and-verizon-reaffirms-commitment-on-customer-privacy.htm

that privacy has always mattered to them.

Still, I was hoping Trump would have put more thought into it before signing, your running a country, not a company, and I may be wrong, but he appears to be treating his presidency no different then his business.

As for the ISP's, whether you believe what they say is true, or if you call bull, their is definitely a feeling of uncertainty in our midst.

I guess only only time will tell............

  2. They are trying to make it so services like Verizon, AT&T, etc. will do anything what Google and Facebook already do now, which is gather data based on your web history and sell it to consumers. But Google and Facebook have never done anything to put people in danger, well at least my experience, I can't say anything on the behalf if others obviously.

This on the other hand will also sell things like: internet history, app usage, health data, financial data, mobile location, etc. Worst, they can do this without your consent, so if any personal info is given your pretty defenseless. No matter how you look at it, it's messed up.

They only way to get around this and maintain your privacy is to only visit HTTPS websites, or use a VPN. You can also use TOR, but I've heard it's slower compared to using the web like normal. This is just what I could find via Google. I just hope this bill is vetoed.

In addition to privacy, another thing we should be concerned about is if this bill does pass, what are the chances of a snow ball effect.

Follow me on this: The bill gets passed another country likes where this is going, so they too decide to end online privacy. Then another, then another, see where this is going? Let that snowball roll down hill until this issue gets bigger and bigger. And who is at the bottom of the hill to take all this crap?

  3. A built in feature that automatically patches the character, stage, screen pack, etc. to work in the newest version of Mugen.

Example: A certain character is exclusive to 1.0 or 1.1, and as the game loads, it upgrades it to work in 1.2.

    Probably impossible, would awesome nonetheless.

@GarchompMatt forums and wikis do have content restrictions though, such as admin restricted forums & space

anyway all download sites have restrictions, because that might come as a surprise to you but bandwidth is expensive and making everything unlimited for everyone, means certain death for the server

mugen wiki is hosted by wikia and paid by ads so they don't pay shit, guild is just a forum with low bandwidth and hosted on a home computer in mom's basement so don't they pay shit either

archive on the other hand has high bandwidth high storage, and expensive server fees so their specific content restrictions are entirely legitimate I would guess

unless you're willing to buy them unlimited server resources to provide unrestricted content, your complains are silly and useless

too much restrictions and no restriction at all both lead to certain death for a site, so archive being now the biggest and most successful mugen site ought to mean their settings are correct and reasonable, that's all there is to it, only end result matters

(Sigh) their is really no point in trying to explain this to you.

From what I'm getting from this is that you either:

A: have a personal grudge against MFG, or.....

B: enjoying causing drama just to get a thrill.

Imo I don't care about the statistics because they are never 100% accurate, as they change constantly.  Do you like Mugen Free For All? Fine. Mugen Fighters Guild? Fine. Mugen Archive? Fine. Mugen Multiverse? Fine. CrusaderCast? Fine. But saying that MA is the best and constantly ignoring bashing other sites is wrong a thousand times over.  Just take everyone's opinion as is, don't just try listing reason after reason why MA is the best.

Opinions are  like a**holes, everyone has one, but for some reason you think yours is the most special brown eye surprise out their.

I simply report the outcome of a very important dispute in the mugen community, the operation "kill mugenarchive" is a failure, mugen archive is now stronger than ever, leader of all mugen sites,  and site which started the war is now weaker and lost leadership

it is very important for people to know that

and it's guild who started the drama nobody else, so blame guild for the drama

I see no importance in any of this, your literally beating a dead horse here, it's like what GarchompMatt said, the only reason why MA see's more traffic is due to people having to upload characters to reach a specific rank, that way they their is no limit to how much they can download. As far as I'm concerned this so called war is long over and your adding fuel to a fire that has been put out a long time ago.

  7. May I ask what the purpose of this thread is, other then bashing the guild?

Statistics mean nothing, many people still visit both sites, some people, such as myself, just prefer some sites over others, that doesn't make the other site any better then the other. Mugen is not about which site is better, it's about creating content for everyone to enjoy, characters, stages, etc.

Stuff like this, all this drama is one of the main reason why the Mugen community as a whole is in decline.

I dunno. People do have every right, so..

Don't get me wrong, they certainly have the right to keep their work private, but if so, then it's probably best if you "never" showcase it. That way it really is private and nobody gets jealous and aren't up to your armpits in requests and complaints.

  9. I honestly don't see how people can claim that their creations are private, and only share it with a friend. You still technically made it public, but only to people that you selected. The worst example of this is the Kula edit, Frozen Heart, the author (Pandacialake) no longer has her anymore, but demands that it be kept private. The worst part is that he gave it to not one, not two, but three people. A YouTuber named Buraido, someone on deviantart named, Ierukah, and suppossidly his older brother, according to the artist.

I apologize if this sounds like I'm being a jerk, I have no quarrel with anyone, but it's bad enough we have dead W.I.P, it's bad enough we have characters that are hard to find, it's bad enough some characters are forever offline, but I swear the biggest blight in the Mugen community is private edits/characters. >:-(
