IDGCaptainRussia reacted to Vorse_Raidier in Elemental Lopunny

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/rktxfjry1vpswwe/PC Elemental Lopunny.zip?dl=0

I would like to thank Wicloud for fixing the palettes and Endercreeper for the base character.

This project took about 9 months to develop, adding in several new moves and mechanics while overhauling others.

Elemental Lopunny summons the elements of fire, frost or lighting to claim dominance on the battlefield. Use heavy punch and heavy kick to enter elemental shift then forward for fire, backward for ice and down for lightning. The current element is display in the upper corner of the screen as Mystic, Valor and Instinct respectively.

When in ice form, Lopunny will prefer to stay at range, relaying on summoning (up to three) snowflakes with quarter circle backward, medium punch to empower icy burst which summons an additional flake for every flake summoned by ice flake and air ice flake. These flakes gain farther utility via light kick or medium kick to send them hurling into her opponent. These moves require setup time and should her enemy be reluctant to wait, Lopunny has a number of deterrence measures from meeting them head with whirlpool to greeting them with a counter Icy hammer. You know, I’m NOT going to tell you how to play, have fun and enjoy.

    Other Limits:
I try to keep this short, this character has been built for 1.1 although 1.0 can be used to a lesser A.I. (has something to do with ailevel not wanting to play nice with 1.0). There are plenty of combos that become harder to complete as the combo becomes longer, but be sure to save a hyper at the end for maximum damage output. There are a few things to keep in mind when comboing to avoid frustration.

You cannot use rest while in fire more

Fireball becomes combustion after setting your opponent on fire for instant damage at the removal of burn for that combo.

Snowflake summon is limited to 3 flakes not including the flakes from Icy wind or Ice pins.

Snowflakes summon can be launched using light or medium kick and will be lost if left idle or if Lopunny takes damage while in idle state

Thunder requires a set thunderune to use or a charge gain randomly while comboing your opponent.

Shockwave (lighting dash), ice flip kick, fire kick, and fire spin are limited to a combine total to 3 uses per combo.

Barriers such as Ice wall, reflect and the more offensive fire mine are all on the same cooldown and cannot be used while another is active.

Burning hi jump kick and anti-air punch are limited to 2 per combo.

Strong jumping hard punch has a bounce so long as the juggle combo is below 10 hits and not already used

launching kick loses effectiveness after a juggle combo above 5 hits

Heave Ho! Only works once per combo

Brutal swing losses combo bounce after a juggle combo of 10 hits or higher or already used

dynamic punch has hyper armor but the link into burning finger does not

submerge is hitable by any low attack

fire spin and whirlpool are immune to projectiles

burning targets (caused by fire special move the require charge or power) can be detonated via fireball key (conflagration)

;Elemental Mega punch can be used as a guard counter (requires 1000 power)

I'm from Russia, so I hope my topic won't be such a pain for your eyes. I'm not good at english, but I can speak in simple sentences.
I'm creator of joke characters, like Joseph Stalin, and joke edits, like Arcade Kung Fu Man. They are still need some improvement, but I have other ideas for now.
    ;-
I like many old-school and soviet cartoons, wearing and making specific things, and collecting joke edits and funny-to-play characters.
    ;-
I hope my future topics wouldn't be so bad in grammar aspect and I will find new friends on this site.
I wish you a great day, my dear reader. Good luck.

IDGCaptainRussia got a reaction from SSBKing65✯ in Jesuszilla is taking character commissions.
Those kinds of prices wouldn't be the first time, you ever taken a look at DDR's commissions lol?
Realistically with him, your just paying for the sprites, DDR was good back then, he's pretty... Well... I think his homepage speaks for itself with how 1999's it is.

Outside of that Commissions haven't ever really been a big thing in Mugen, largely due to Mugen's Status as a free game and in-turn alot of the younger-non paid people it attracts.
Trust me, I've offered Paypal to people for private characters (I'm that much of a collector), and every single one of them rejected my offer on the grounds of they won't take/deal with money largely because most of them can't. With the only next best option is some stupidly hard trades (IE MugenMason's Stages, which some of which later released out in the public, and he had a cry baby tantrum about it, similar story with SannoTohno 2nd after HLC's characters were re-leaked from the private scene which led him to get neo-political with people and labeling people who were responsible.)

Ok that went off topic fast, anywho. Jesuszilla has been around for a long time, he's got alot under his belt, I'm sure some dedicated Mugenites who want X in the game will get it and gladly pay for it too.

You know... If you made an account just now for trying to Gaslight MFFA and White Knight for MA, you failed really horribly.
I do agree that, in normal cases I would just write this whole (Archive deal) off as a "Fuck you" and walk away because this really is a bunch of BS. But Dizzy has far too much power and far too much hunger for it, and he's feeding off innocent people to get it.
I think many people will agree that cannot slide. Dizzy gained superiority through dishonest means and continues to do so, and honestly he's the only one who cares about being superior. The rest of us just want to see this BS come to an end.

You wanna tell me about Crime? How about how the Archive issued a DDOS attack against MFFA? MA threw the first punches and we've been merely defending back, who else would DDOS other mugen sites?
Though I am going to tell you oh so shiny White Knight of the archive, that if they do take serious action. They're in for ALOT worse than they know from entities that involve.
Do you think SNK or Capcom would feel comfortable knowing their work is involved in this BS? I know I wouldn't.
Just accept that MA is being run by a tyrant, and their choices are the whole

You know why we're not going to delete this message or lock you out? It's because we're NOT a hugbox, we can take drama, and I think we all agree that the Archive itself isn't what's evil, just their leading admin who pulls all the strings.

I would have to agree, at this point this isn't about blacklisting the site from sharing content. I think we can all agree that there's only 1 person pulling all the strings and using the archive's hosted content exclusivity as a means to enthrall users to serve Dizzy.

We went from ad.fly, something legit creators across the internet use as a donation option (note: option, most still provide alternative direct link for those who don't want to use ad.fly) to what I can only describe now as a scandal.

This is really starting to get bad, I told a friend about this and they described it as "Facebook scandal" levels of bad.

I think the only way this is going to stop is to take Dizzy's power aware, and I can only see that happening through 2 means:
1: Legal action against him by the masses and a binding judgement to keep him in check.
2: Educate the masses, a popular youtuber or other media outlet to warns users en-mass about what the archive "really" is.

Agreed, the archive is a novel idea, just in the wrong hands of the wrong people with the wrong amount of power.

Not just the avatar, he's quite literally using the same name as well as that character. I am unsure if this is meant to intentional because of MUGEN, or he just really, really likes said character... Who knows, but that's not important right now.

Justice is a bot. The webmaster is That Man.

Actually, as a followup to what I said earlier about the original members of staff having a Guilty Gear theme, I decided to see who the earliest members were and found something kinda interesting:
Member 1 is That Man, which is to be expected since he's the webmaster.
    Member 2 is Justice.
    Member 3 is Dizzy.
Member 4 is Ky, which doesn't seem like much of an active account.
    Member 5 is Sol.
And then this theme continues all the way up until member 26, who seems to be the first actual member to sign up.

So basically, members 1 to 25 are all themed after Guilty Gear characters that (with the exception of That Man, Justice, Dizzy, and Sol) all have the Support Staff role; in addition, they were all created on the same day (18th April 2009) outside of That Man, who was created six days earlier. Perhaps they're generic placeholder accounts that Dizzy loans out to friends? Fun bit of trivia nonetheless.

As far as I can tell, the phone verification thing doesn't even have anything to do with the Mugen Archive's discord, although Dizzy's spam/DDOS campaign against MFFA back in April and you guys's response to it might have been where he got the idea. Spam actually isn't even half the problem on MA that Dizzy would like people to think it is, most spammers on MA are actually welcomed by him since they provide a constant stream of the MUGEN equivalent of clickbait to net MA more of that precious traffic. When I made that post bringing up the concern of Dizzy doing this phone verification thing to harvest data, I wasn't actually sure that was his aim, I just wanted to bring it up since it's one of those things that everyone in that thread was thinking but no one actually wanted to say out of fear of getting banned by Dizzy. I knew him losing his shit and banning me was a possibility, and the fact that he did tells me my gut instinct about his intentions was right. People don't freak out over bullshit accusations, they freak out when someone hits too close to home.

Yup, I've been on Dizzy's shitlist since 2017 for calling him out on how he handled the Cesarsombra/Cesarshadow thing (his mods permabanned the guy for hate speech against myself and others, but Dizzy reversed it because Cesar donates a portion of his autismbux to MA every month). I've tried to give the dude the benefit of the doubt, even after the community weekends (a thing I'm mostly sure by now he does just to screw with his new users for the fun of it) and his driving off several of my good friends on that side. The dude's got obvious mental health issues and I tried to take that into account for the longest time, but after I did some digging and found out about his past and BladeArt and the scummy things he did under that name, I just completely lost any trace of anything even remotely resembling respect for the guy.

One thing that you and the other people who were burned by the Mugen Archive years ago can take comfort in: Dizzy is absolute and completely obsessed with you guys. Like, honest-to-god, malignant paranoid narcissist levels of obsessed. It's one of the first thing I noticed about him, he's talking about "his haters" constantly, I believe the phrase "living rent free in the head" was coined for people like him. It's even kinda funny in a sad way, he makes enemies for himself with his antisocial jackass behavior, then obsesses over those enemies and abuses his members because he thinks they're possible enemies/enemies in disguise, thereby creating more actual enemies for himself, and on and on it goes. The best thing that could happen to the Mugen Archive would be if the person actually keeping it afloat (Justice would be my guess) realized how toxic Dizzy is and kicked his useless ass to the curb. Everything else about the site runs like a top, it's just Dizzy himself that's the problem.

Please don't get the wrong impression from my post. Dizzy's not pulling any strings, he doesn't have the brains for it. He's more the figurehead of MA, a moron who gets the front-facing work while the real brains behind the site keep it running from the background. If you want an idea of what kind of brain trust you're dealing with in Dizzy, read this post about incompetent Amazon managers. Because that's all Dizzy is, an incompetent warehouse manager constantly throwing bad ideas at a wall to see if any of them stick. MA is successful despite Dizzy, not because of him (being the only warehousing game in town since the death of Mugen Infantry also helps).

I can give you one: this guy (who is either one of Dizzy's pet speds or yet another sock for Dizzy/BladeArt himself) is so nuts that he should absolutely be allowed to speak freely. Let this loon tell the world exactly the kind of mentality that supports Dizzy of the Mugen Archive. Go on, @sero, tell us more about how anyone who speaks out against your master should have their bones broken. Tell us all about what you and Dizzy would do to anyone who dares criticize the almighty jackass in chief of the Mugen Archive if only you and him had any actual power outside of his sad little Internet fiefdom.

Someone brought up the phone verification thing in another discord a few days ago, so I'll sum up what I said then.

Dizzy's claim that their discord server is lively is, frankly, bullshit. Unless the MA staff is actively deleting 90%+ messages on a daily basis, the activity that I've witnessed there is very minimal, if not 0, with only a few messages every other day or so. While I can't speak about implementing phone verification on their forums & site as a whole since this is news to me, I can speak from experience that phone verification, at least on Discord, does almost nothing to stop spam attacks. In the aftermath of the DDoS we received in early April, we elevated the security to require phone verification and, while this stopped spam accounts from posting messages in our discord, it did nothing to stop them from saying what they wanted to say by making their user name the message, many of which were targeting the same individual. In the meantime, several legitimate accounts were negatively affected by this and unable to access our discord server either because they were unable or unwilling to disclose a cell phone number for verification purposes, some going far as citing privacy concerns (and rightfully so); this led to us creating a workaround by granting known users a dummy "approved" role so they wouldn't be affected by this change, which we eventually rescinded because of the undue burden it was putting on legitimate users while doing nothing to stop the influx of spam accounts, and I have no doubt in my mind that something similar could happen to MA if they do decide to go through with this.

Of course, if Dizzy is adamant on implementing this feature, he is either unable or (most likely) unwilling to take these negative repercussions into account.

EDIT; Seeing as this thread seems to be going in the direction of a general MA discussion thread, I'll be allowing the posting of MA links here for the purposes of providing context.

@Darkflare I'm afraid I owe you an apology. I tried to be fair and evenhanded when I was here last, but as it turns out you were completely right about Mugen Archive... or rather about Dizzy, since for all intents and purposes Dizzy is the Mugen Archive (if there are other mods, they just let him do whatever he wants).

I think I'm gonna take a break from Mugen for a little while, but before I did I felt like I need to let the MUGEN community know something. Right now, there's a "debate" going on at MA (in this thread) over forcing new users to submit their phone numbers for verification. Everyone, here and everywhere should know that this is almost certainly a data mining scheme of Dizzy's to harvest user information to sell. I called him out on the possibility of this (I wasn't sure yet) in this post which was instantly nuked by Dizzy. I'd taken a screencap of it in advance because I thought he might pull something like that, and lo and behold. I tried to give Dizzy the benefit of the doubt there (for what little benefit of the doubt he deserves at this point), but the speed at which that post was nuked erased any doubt in my mind to Dizzy's intentions. When he implements phone verification (and it's a when, not an if; Dizzy only pretends to listen to the MA community to keep up appearances), I'd be very careful about any data I submitted to his site if I was a new user. He wouldn't be so aggressive about this scheme of his if there wasn't something in it for him.

To you old timers who tried to warn me about MA the last time I was here, I apologize for my skepticism. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but Dizzy aka BladeArt has proven himself to be a bad faith actor. He hides behind a cute anime girl name and avatar so people feel uncomfortable about criticizing his incompetent modding, and if they criticize him anyway, he bans them. He gives nothing to the MUGEN community, he only takes, and on top of that he's driven off several content creators with his sociopathic behavior. He's a disease infecting the MUGEN community, and my only regret is I didn't see that sooner.
