Surprise, everyone! I have been secretly working on none other than the kunoichi named Hibana from Nightshade! For those unfamiliar, Nightshade (aka "Kunoichi" in Japan) is the sequel to Shinobi for PS2, which is of course part of SEGA's Shinobi series. Hibana is the main playable protagonist in Nightshade, and she is one awesome female ninja!

Hibana is a simple, 3-button character with stand, crouch, and air attacks, as well as three Hypers and a taunt! Her special attribute is her Stealth Dash ability. Taken straight from Shinobi PS2 and Nightshade, the Stealth Dash allows Hibana to dash in an almost teleportation type manner, leaving an afterimage in her wake. It can even be used in the air! The dash replaces her "run forward" and "hop back" movements, and is a great way to get behind an enemy, or to simply avoid taking damage from an enemy.
Sprites come courtesy of Project X Zone 2 for the 3DS, ripped by Ploaj of the Spriter's Resource.

Unlike the Touhou characters I've made, Kagura was made to be as close to source accurate as I could manage;
Albeat with a few adjustments, because this is Mugen, and things don't always work the same in Mugen.

Note that there's both a Mugen 1.1 and Mugen 1.0 version of Kagura, and just like the Touhou characters, I strongly recommend getting the 1.1 version, because converting from Mugen 1.1 to 1.0 has a tendency of absolutely destroying the more advanced sprite images a character might have, not to mention that 1.0 just can't keep up with certain coding in the same way 1.1 can.

The Story so far...
 
After having made a bunch of Touhou characters filled to the brim with bullets and shiny effects, I decided to look towards a new challenge, and I found it in the vast unexplored world of Blazblue. I've wondered a few times in the past about why there were so few Blazblue characters out there, and even fewer source accurate ones, but I would soon find out while making this guy.
 
Turns out that a huge amount of the effect sprites in the game are either made out of a single sheet putting together a few sprites in a million patterns, or they're just plain 3d textured effects, which are super hard to rip properly, unless you know how to break down the game entirely and somehow capture them. And while there are a few people out there who've done that (and thank god for those people or we wouldn't have any worthwhile effects whatsoever from the games), I couldn't be bothered learning how to do so for what was essentially just a fun side project for me, so in all the cases where I didn't have the sprite (or sound for that matter), I decided to just improvise instead, and either use the available ones in new ways or (in 2 cases) import them from other games.
 
In the end, somehow this "side project" ended up eating more time and effort than pretty much all my other characters. I guess that's what trying to be source accurate does for you.

Just like Take's Susanoo, Izanami is Melty Blood styled. Act Cadenza to be specific. Unlike Susanoo however, she only has her Japanese voice from Central Fiction.

A very bizarre Garfield edit. I'm fairly sure it's a heavy edit of aperson's version... I think Garfield is readying to fight the forces of Monday with full force. He's got laser eyes, time slowing, numerous beefed up projectiles, homing blasts, can spawn a wave of Odies to kick without pressing a button/bury for food or run into the enemy, a couple odd hypers involving melee attacks (and even a piledriver of sorts.) super armor from being hit sometimes, a Raging Demon clone, and a odd green spark that follows him around and he can turn it red which does... Something. He has insane comboing but does underpowered damage on everything to make up for it. Still probably not enough for the first day of the week... He also interestingly has hurt voice clips from various characters like Donald, Dee Bee Kaw, and Ghetto War Machine. Not sure why he's named after (in his .def) MGMURROW either. Doesn't seem to play like his characters at all. (Although I've only used one...) Also, there's something wrong with his winpose... It's "kinda" a jumpscare... But it's not scary "per say"... it';s also very easy to see coming too, so it shouldn't stop anyone's heart. Made by Dooermaster.

She's noticeably more "sinister looking" than most of the others, even when she's honestly smiling and gets visibly upset if she isn’t in the limelight. She enjoys watching others fail to defeat her. Her reasons are very self-centered however: she doesn't want people to suffer for no reason or at the hands of others, just suffer because she is better at the task and they become aware of it. What's Really Funny About This Character Is That She Attacks You With Words, Floats on Air, and Random iDOLM@STER Idols Pop Up On The Screen For Some Reason! LOL!
