Seems like you're running mugen in 320x240 screenpack (i've been using one before, namely the EvE screenpack, and got the same problem).

that and editing mentioned effects, which i think could work if you add black background, index them, and set the transparency manually via FF.

Older version of her worked in 1.0 if you re-save the sff to 1.0 though. Checked and it seems most of her sprites still in indexed format, just some effects sprites that are pure 32-bit png.
