What a waste, he made some good stuff.

This project looks very promising, and while I know little to nothing about character making; I must praise you for the sprites, they look amazing so far and i'm quite interested to see the finished project. For your consideration, maybe darken the gauntlet's gems a tad? They stand out in the relatively dark character witch is my only complaint thus far.

Now if somebody made the Decepticon Logo Bosses...

That's the reason I mostly immigrated over here. But while creators do tend to immigrate from the MUGEN scene, DJ-VAN has been gone for 5 years without explanation...and his websites still up...so there's that.

Where did he go? I visited his website and it has no new updates, and none of his creations are still on because of Megaupload's Death. Has anybody heard anything? The guy made great strides in MUGEN with MUGEN EVE.

I'm a bit of a stickler about that, I'm always thinking Uwe Bole's on the other line laughing his ass off I also don't like these: Color-swaps Name-swaps Joke Characters disguised as legitimate characters (excluding ones on April 1st) Misplaced or Giant Portraits All that Symboite Bullsh1t

That is usually why people bitch about they're "private" creations... In fact I think there's another discussion about this private creations on this board...I imagine it must be a real problem, but I can't say much considering I don't contribute too much as it is

One-hit killers are rather annoying in my opinion...most if not all, seem like they break up gameplay in a second before and after using them.

I think we might be dreaming with that one.

Well...that closed the case pretty quickly.. She/he/it/whatever was a good creator....regardless of her/his/its/whatever's gender.

And I mean to never open to any old wounds about the issue (because it looked like a WAR), But whatever happened to the MUGEN Creator, Smoke? Last time I heard ANYTHING related to her, RandomSelect ran something about her being a man and whatnot...Next thing I know, when I looked at her website...It was Gone. No Trace. And I've heard nothing relating to the matter since. So I ask you, the Fine Fine Ladies and Gentlemen of MFFA to enlighten me in this puzzle of mine.

In my Opinion: I feel as for "Rare" Characters a majority of the time they're merely just eyecandy on a select screen with no function in gameplay. Some of them are genuinely 'Rare' though! They earn that status through the exclusivity of that character because the websites that hosted it went down (COUGH COUGH Megaupload COUGH). As for exclusive/private content, I think its the author's decision because we are not owed it. However when they show it on a public setting, like say a YouTube video, but don't offer it to the public; That's just kind of a (excuse my language), A dick thing to do. It's the real-life equivlient of a man waving a 100$ bill directly infront of your face. But thats just my 5 cents.
