I hope people will use this character as a base too, would be happy to see that. As for what characters i will be making/editing into my gameplay style, i don't know for sure. But what's sure is i will not do many famous/mainstream series such as Street Fighter, King of Fighters etc. because honestly i'm tired of seeing them and i want to bring something fresh. Just to clarify, this only applies to characters from (active) authors that didn't say anything about editing their works right ? I'm always cautious about these permission stuffs cause i remember that green ranger incident (Even tho it's a different case of permissions and credits ?)

So i want to use a Blackheart from Marvel character as a base, edit it into my custom playstyle, and then release it. But the authors of all the Blackheart characters i found are already inactive, possibly even retiring from MUGEN. Therefore i cant ask them for permission. (Some of them are even edits of a Blackheart character from an inactive author. But they still give credit to the original author) I cant start on my work cause of this problem. Can i edit a character by an inactive, unreachable author and then give them credits ? (This applies to every character by an inactive author, not just Blackheart) Thanks in advance.

Hey guys so uhmmmm where do i start I'm from Mugen Multiverse, my username there is BlueSpiderX Idk if you're familiar but yes it's that character of a blue palette swap of Spiderman who shoots lazers. We'll get back to that later. I don't really play games nowadays, not cause it's boring. It's cause i finally figured out that i enjoyed creating more. I mostly just edit pics and uhhhh make memes cause i have a meme page on facebook Here's my interests in 3 pics: Tokusatsu (Japanese superheroes) Weeb shit memes And now about my history in MUGEN Many years ago (i think it was 2013) i was an active member in Mugen Multiverse, commenting on stuffs, making random sprite edits. Then i decided to make my OC into a character. Well not really "make" cause my friend there (thx Mistah Jorge) did all the coding and i made the visual concepts so he can understand what i'm trying to do. After it i continued browsing. Suddenly one day my desire to learn how to code awakened and i tried to make a joke (but not cheap) character. The progress was slow and inconsistent, i had to change gameplay styles about 3 times. Slowly i got frustrated and my passion for MUGEN died. I dissapeared for a long time, doing other hobbies that i discovered. But on some day my passion re-awakened and i tried to make a Kung Fu Man character with my own custom playstyle for use as a base for my future characters, that is consistent. I thought of and concepted everything from the start to finish so i don't repeat the same mistake. Ran into a problem, got frustrated, dissapeared for a long time again. (cause i didn't wanna ask for help cause i want it to be "my" character) I realized after a long time that maybe i should ask for help, and returned again. So i asked for help on my problems in coding (and then answered them myself cause i kept trying while waiting for responses). Finally, my first character is done. Tried reaching out for help to my chinese friend regarding the Ultraman Powered link. He said the link is removed. It's in the description there. The description said the reason is because "someone stole 真崎アスカ's ultraman sprite and make that ultraman powered sprite" Also it said it will be republished again sometime in the future. I don't really get it, but it could mean one of these below : 1. The sprites that the creator ripped from the original game got stolen by someone. 2. Comparing the screenshot and the original sprites, it seems that the creator of the char edited the sprites so the eyes and timer is visible. Maybe his edited sprites got stolen. 3. The site oddly doesn't list the creator's name in the description, while other characters has the name of the creator. So probably this 真崎アスカ is not the creator of the character, but the person who ripped the sprites from the original game. Most likely that whoever created this char didn't asked permission to use and edit 真崎アスカ's sprites which made 真崎アスカ unhappy. I believe this one is the most possible scenario. Welp, i guess we'll have to wait. Or not, this could be a lost Mugen character.
