  1. I really hope they buff up Kirby a bit (or a lot) and make him more powerful, because I'm sick of Meta Knight, Snake, Pikachu hogging the higher tier spots! Kirby was on the top 3 tier for Super Smash Bros. along with Pikachu and Fox. They need to bring Kirby back up to the top. Though I really hope they don't debuff Wario or Olimar. I'm good at using them. They also need to make the Zelda characters better, because Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf are at the bottom along with Jigglypuff, though Toon Link is pretty high up on the list.
  2. Something that's been mentioned is the possible inclusion of a Capcom character. If a Capcom character were to make it in, my best guess would be that it would be Ryu. Ryu's from Street Fighter, a fighting game, and got a pretty good moveset that would be good in Super Smash Bros. I can imagine him using Shoryuken as a recovery move. I can also imagine one of his palettes being Ken. It's also possible that Megaman might be the Capcom character since he is very popular and has appeared in the Marvel vs. Capcom games, so he'd have a moveset, too. He could be seen is Samus's rival. I'm pretty sure that Zoroark will probably make it in as well. Mewtwo and Lucario have been in Melee and Brawl respectively. They have both been in Pokemon movies and are both really popular, and Zoroark meets both of those conditions, so Zoroark could be the next Mewtwo/Lucario for Super Smash Bros. If I were to make character requests, I would request King Harkinian, Weegee, and Rotom.
  3. I would have suspected that you would have tried to beat Kirby with Rotom, but good job on defeating him. He's not easy to defeat. His next release is gonna be even harder to beat, because he's gonna be more aggressive.
  4. I made Kirby's AI MUCH more aggressive. I'm still making tweaks to it, so the next version might be released sometime this weekend. His AI is so aggressive, that he defeated Scizor, who's AI is extremely cheap AND totally creamed Kong's characters! TK, you got your wish. Kirby's much more aggressive up close and utilizes Wheel Kirby and Kirby Top very well, though he still tends to spam helpers and projectiles at a distance.
  5. I warned you. I want to try to get his AI to not rely on helpers so much and utilize his other moves more, but I'm only a beginner at AI, so I don't know advanced stuff yet. And thanks for the comment, TK. My Kirby may very well become the best Kirby available for MUGEN out there when I get the remaining bugs fixed and improve his AI. I've had my Kirby battle Bane84's, Cyanide's, Seku's, and MadOldCrow1105's Kirbys, and mine beat them all very easily with barely any damage.
  6. I have watched some videos on Pikmin 3 on YouTube and I have some things confirmed: I have found out how Rock Pikmin are obtained. If the jellyfish enemy catches Pikmin and is defeated, then the Pikmin are turned into Rock Pikmin. Rock Pikmin also cannot be crushed by enemies or hazards. Examples: Waterwraith and Empress Bulblax from Pikmin 2. They are also unaffected by wind-based attacks. Pink Pikmin are confirmed, too, but not much is known about them except that they are confirmed and that they can fly. All that's seen of them are their backs during the original E3 video and Pink Pikmin sprouts during another video. There is apparently a whistle upgrade that shoots a beam of light in the air that might be used to call back Pink Pikmin. Purple and White Pikmin are confirmed to return as well, as they can clearly be seen during the same scene where you can see the Pink Pikmin sprouts. As for Olimar, I'm pretty sure I can confirm him being in the game as well since I've seen artwork of the new captains, and none of them are red. They're blue, yellow, purple, and green, so that might mean Olimar's in the game. The existance of a new blue captain might mean that Louie and the President won't be in this game. So far, the only captains seen in-game are the blue and yellow ones. Another that confirms him being in the game is that he is clearly seen in the E3 video being thrown up to a ledge by another captain. As for the Bulbmin only found in caves in Pikmin 2, I can't confirm that they will be in the game since there is no evidence of them. The Pikmin and captains also seem to have better AI, as there are piles of gold nuggets and you can clearly see Pikmin going to the ship and returning for more instead of sitting in front of the ship waiting for more instructions. The captains can be thrown like Pikmin and act on their own to do tasks like plucking nearby Pikmin.
  7. Newest update! Now Kirby's got AI! But, be warned: He's not easy to KO. http://www.mediafire.com/?y5aq9hkv3ohrkm4
  8. On my first attempt at coding AI for Kirby, he wound up spamming lasers... But, I fixed it. He now kicks some serious butt.
  9. Yes! Finally! An AI tutorial! Now I can attempt to add AI to Kirby.
  10. I can't believe I forgot to put this one: Stunfisk: First off, he's small/flat, so he's very hard to hit. Second, he retains his Static ability from the Pokemon games, so when you make contact with him, it will stun you at times, which gets very annoying. Third, he has a cheap palette where a trainer follows him, a Pichu flies across the screen, and a few mini-Stunfisk bounce around. If you make contact with the trainer's head, you take damage. And last, but certainly not least, he has an instant-killer, Fissure, which is nearly unavoidable unlike in the Pokemon games. And I see you get annoyed with Oshawott the same way I do, GarchompMatt. Oshawott combines two things I hate in a MUGEN character: Annoying sounds and projectile spamming.
  11. Recently, I've been using Sentinel by Kong a lot. I've gotten pretty good at using him, so good that I've been able to defeat some of muteki's characters with him.
  12. List what characters you think are made the most for MUGEN. These can include different edits or incarnations of the character, such as different versions of Kung Fu Man. My list: Kung Fu Man (MUGEN) Ryu (Street Fighter) Mario (Super Mario Bros.) Luigi (Super Mario Bros.) Sonic (Sonic the Hedgehog) Goku (Dragon Ball Z) Kirby (Kirby's Dream Land)
  13. I've pretty much figured out why Kong's MvC2 characters are considered to have cheap AI. It's the speed of their attacks and how quickly they can be comboed, and not many MUGEN characters can attack or combo that quickly. I managed to defeat Blackheart very easily with another one of Kong's characters. Another reason is that characters like Iron Man, War Machine, Sentinel, Dr. Doom, Magneto, and M. Bison can fly, so characters without super jumps won't be able to reach them unless the stage height is low. I have managed to defeat War Machine with CHOUJIN's Goku.
  14. Got another one: Popon (Fou): If you make even the slightest bit of contact with him, you take damage. It makes it practically impossible to attack him without projectiles! I almost always have to F1 him for that very reason!
  15. I'm excited about the release of new Pokemon for the 3DS. I'm pretty sure I'll miss the Pokemon sprites from the previous games, but a full 3D Pokemon game that isn't like XD or Colosseum where you can only catch Shadow Pokemon and Pokemon in one area will be great. I'll probably go with Fennekin or Chespin as my starter. The addition of a Light-Type would be pretty cool, like an opposite to the Dark-Type, but I doubt there'll be any new types added. The conclude this post, I'm going to say this: How is anyone supposed to complete the Pokedex when a new Pokemon game always comes out!?
  16. Voted for Charmander. I would choose Charmander as my Kanto starter in the games.
  17. I didn't know whether I should have posted this here or in resources, so I apologize if I posted this in the wrong section. For this thread, simple show off your spritesheets or comment on ones already posted. Note: Please don't post spritesheets taken off of a website on this thread. Post sprites made by you.
  18. Characters I use the most, huh? Kirby by Super Nicholas Ryu by DG Hulk, Juggernaut, and Captain America by Acey Hercule by CHOUJIN Fat Buu by miayou Weegee by aznperson569M Rotom by GarchompMatt I typically use MvC-Styled characters the most, but I'll sometimes use characters like Kung Fu Man.
  19. I hate it when crappy characters have the Marvel vs. Capcom: Eternity of Heroes patch. You've got pieces of crap like Strong Bad kicking your butt over and over again, because of the cheap AI on it! I just hate how people can rip off of a patch and make their character look good, even if it's imcomplete or has crappy sprites! Also, I'm going to mention that WlanmaniaX's characters use this patch, but without the overkill AI. The three CHEAPEST characters that have this are Strong Bad, Green Lantern Lucario, and Invisible Woman. I'm not saying that the patch is bad, because there are some really good characters out there that use it. I just hate it when crappy characters use it.
  20. I really hate it when characters constantly use instant-killers. The list of characters with instant-killers goes on and on... My Kirby even has one, but I implemented that, because that's how it was in Kirby Mass Attack and to be a cheap-buster move. My list: Ronald McDonald, Chuck Norris, Creeper, Finn, Dancing Banana, Kirby, Princess Bubblegum, Mordecai, Rigby, Spongebob, Kitty Katswell, Dudley Puppy, Sonic, Captain Falcon, Nightmare Broly SSJ3, Dink Smallwood, Weegee, Giygas, Heather, Link, Gumball, Umbreon, Missingno., Geno, Zeeky H. Bomb, Annoying Orange, Stunfisk, Bloo, Broccalon, Cartman, Elmo, Milotic, Red Dragon, Synn, Giant Weegee, Deoxys, Akuma, Rare Akuma, Kakashi, etc...
  21. I will agree that Street Fighter moves are way overused. Shun Goku Satsu is Akuma's signiture move and we've got all of these characters ripping it off. Even crap characters like WlanmaniaX's have it. Hadoken is definently overused. Even if it isn't a Hadoken, the pose is still overused. Ryu's moves are even referenced in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. Fighter Kirby can use Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Hurricane Kick. I will also agree that Proton Cannon is a practical meme as well. It's one of Iron Man's moves in the Marvel vs. Capcom games. I figure it's overused, because the Proton Cannon itself looks epic. As for Road Roller Da, it's an internet meme, so go figure. WRRRRRRRYYYYYYYY!!!!
  22. Ugh... The dreaded Dark Donald palette... That thing is impossible to beat. Even worse, he has a completely red palette which I have dubbed "Blood Donald" for a good reason. If you attack, you are instantly KO'd. muteki's characters are pure evil. Also, I HATE Bugs Bunny! He is one of the cheapest MUGEN characters ever. Also, both versions of Chowder are crap. One spams machine guns and the other spams projectiles.
  23. Cyanide's Kirby will drive you INSANE! That Kirby has got to be the smallest MUGEN character ever made! He is near IMPOSSIBLE to hit! My friend even told me that there is a character that is a single pixel. Oh, and I can't stand King of Fighters-styled gameplay! The commands are so hard to pull off! Even worse are the commands on most of MadOldCrow's characters! They have near-impossible-to-pull-off commands! For example: Rigby's Hyper Pendulum: x, F, B, y, z Or even worse: Kirby's Overdrive: B, F, D, F, B, F, D, c Or even what is possibly the hardest command to pull off of all time: Captain Falcon's Finishing Move: ~$U,$F,D,$B,~a Also, I don't know what the "Groove" system even does. And it's also hard to pull off combos with them. I really prefer MvC-styled characters over King of Fighters-styled characters.
