That particular version of Glasya Labolas? No. Glasya Labolas itself? It's a powerful creature from Hades often sited to be the Author of Persuasion and Bloodshed. It often takes the form of a winged dog. In Final Fantasy 3, it takes the form of a giant person. I've never seen Glasya Labolas portrayed as a griffon.
