mulambo's artworks

Well, just wanted to share my artworks, most of them are fan-art inspired by fighting games, in "vs" style 1vs1. I use Gimp (image effects, and other fixes), MyPaint (for the characters) and Blender (for the background). I've just made a new fan-art piece...

Yugo VS Michelle

Yugo is a char from the PSX Konami's game "Kensei: Sacred Fist" (for those which don't know the game). I've drawn him in the past, but it was crap, so here it is (hopefully better than before). The choice of Michelle Chang as his opponent is pretty random, I really didn't know who to draw against him, I thought a female would fit, I've never drawn Michelle before so here she is (Tekken2 clothing).

i just saw these but these are pretty dope man

on one hand, i think you overdo the blur BUT I think it gives your work identity so like dont stop that!

well, yeah the blur is overdone somewhere I didn't want to go further with details, I just follow my inspiration, I'm not that kind of "artist" that works on the same artwork for weeks or months. I try to stay away from OCD, lol. But I do admire those who put their best in their details. It's just not my style, though, so I can't really envy them, we're just using a different approach (and I can't force myself to do the same thing they do).

well, I can't count precisely the time spent on making "art". I'd say "since I was born", but I didn't even know what "art" was when I first used a colored pencil (and probably I still don't know what "art" means now, lol).

gotcha. you seem like you've done enough i guess self reflection/analysis to know what kind of person you are, thats cool.

i think "art" can be anything you make creatively.

Oh well, I have nothing against Elena, she's a good char, not a bad one. But there's actually no moral inquisition in my drawings, I just let the mind decide "on the spot" which char to draw, so inspiration just told me " hey draw elena! " and I delivered.
