rockocalypse Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I want to cut down the amount that an AI will block or do a specific move. Which value (if it even is a value) would let me manipulate an AI to make it less spammy.
0 Ryon Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 go to settings and lower the difficulty. that option ACTUALLY works in mugen 1.0 - Characters - / - Stages - / - Screenpacks - / - Lifebars - / - Fonts - / - Full Games - / - Templates -
0 rockocalypse Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 go to settings and lower the difficulty. that option ACTUALLY works in mugen 1.0 I don't mean to doubt your obvious superior knowledge but, I don't want to make the opponent easier necessarily, I just want to cut down their use of 1 move.
0 Ryon Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 unfortunately there are several ways to code AI. and its up to the creator who did it. laharl has good experience of removing ai, so maybe he might know something? - Characters - / - Stages - / - Screenpacks - / - Lifebars - / - Fonts - / - Full Games - / - Templates -
0 rockocalypse Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 I'll PM him. thanks for the lead
0 Darkflare Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Or you could....you know....learn to beat the move. Lowering the Mugen difficulty doesn't always work anyway, since not all AIs use 1.0's AI level.
0 Winmugen11 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Or you could....you know....learn to beat the move. The thing is, he can not really "beat" the move. He is asking how to do this because he wants a Tien who doesn't spend all his time blocking and charging up his super meter. Especially the latter is the thing he spams or so I've been told. This makes him no challenge at all if all he does is charge up and block and it is this which Rock wants to see change somehow. 0 Xan Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 If that's the case, let him speak for himself. You don't need to post every time you have an inkling to do so, especially if you're speaking on the behalf of others without their consent or any form of necessity. Calm down and think before you post. It'll save you a lot of trouble in the future.
0 Winmugen11 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Alright Xan. I'll keep that in mind. I guess that if you look at it that way, then my post could be deemed inappropriate. I was not upset or anything so there is no need to calm down. Thanks anyway! This signature would not have been possible without the combined efforts of Ryoucchi & Zenesis. 0 Xan Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I meant to calm down with your posting. It's a bit too frequent for your own good. Trust me, I learned this the hard way.
0 Ryon Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 nah there's no harm from it. makes the forum look more active. I used to do that all the time.. then 6 years later.. here I am barely posting LOL. keep it up Winmugen11. @ Xan, just ignore em if you see his posts LOL. - Characters - / - Stages - / - Screenpacks - / - Lifebars - / - Fonts - / - Full Games - / - Templates -
0 Xan Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 @ Xan, just ignore em if you see his posts LOL. We've already talked it over via PMs, so I plan to do just that.
0 rockocalypse Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 I hadn't seen any of this past my last post. I thought it was all over. I don't mind someone speaking for me as long as what they said isn't complete hogwash. I'm glad the two of you were able to work out your arguement and for the record, Winmugen was right, Tien constantly charged up so he'd never fight and always lose XD but I got it mostly fixed now
