The cafeteria looked like your average cafeteria. There weren't that many people around so most tables were empty.

I agree, Lilith. You're obviously a very calm, cool and collected person. Your manners demonstrate your level of self discipline. And based on what Dark says, you'd have to be conflict addicted junkie...heh...like myself, I suppose. Then maybe you'd be in danger. 

 

Dark...I'm willing to accept him...NegaFlare. I truly am. But he's not willing to accept me. He is is own being. He feels he has just as much right to exist in this world as I do. Maybe...maybe he's right. I'm not sure how he came to be, but he's my responsibility. He's my burden. So that's why I carry him with me.

 

I can't just...accept "him". We have to accept each other. If I do confront him...and he doesn't agree to that...then we will be back were we started. You've met him. You've fought against him. He's will is strong. His power may be even stronger. As it stands, I still draw from his power even though he's sealed. I'd like for us to become one...but I don't feel I can trust him.

 

After all...I'd be asking him to give up his own existence. Unless you know another way...?

So Dark...how do you explain a separate entity made from the remnants of my own will to fight, my so called "addiction" to adrenaline and the influence of the Dark Hadou? Can it be possible that although we seem to have some similarities...that I'm in fact a special case? Possibly from a different program all together?

 

What am saying? I have way too many questions. I guess I've found bliss in my ignorance up to this point. You do make one interesting point, Darkflare. This dark side of me has a name. I've always thought that just by sealing him "inside me"...that we were one. But if we both have our own name, then are we truly "one?" I'll just have to see when the time comes.

LightFlare had been processing everything he heard. He took a few seconds before responding to Lilith...

 

When we met Darkflare you asked me if I were a clone. I said no, but the truth is I don't really know if that's true. I can't remember my early years as a child and I don't know who my parents are. If what you say is true...then there's a chance...I'm...I'm a clone as well. All I know of my distant past IS my name. I don't know who named me. But it was all I could remember. 

 

And then there's the fact that both of you specialize in Dark Hadou. But I use both. You both don't seem to be effected by the Dark Hadou. But I continually train my mind to this day so that I can suppress the evil within. 

 

I guess since you're in the sharing mood, Dark...I'll share something. When most people say they had to fight themselves...they mean metaphorically. But in my case...I literally battled against my dark side personified. I won and he's sealed within what I can only describe as a "dark area within my subconscious." 

 

But I'm assuming if I am indeed a clone...that we are part of the same program. I may be overthinking this...but It's something I'd like to know the truth about.

Of course. I've enjoyed our reunion. The training session was great. But I didn't come here for a strole down memory lane and a workout. And although I'm glad to help, I didn't come purely out of the kindness of my heart. No offense, Lilith. Your style. Your aura. It's no coincidence. There aren't many practitioners of our style...at least to my knowledge. And if it's one thing I've learned. My old "pal" Darkflare...will have a bit of insight on the situation. Now...continue.

A portal opens and wolf comes out, snatches the axe out of the assassins head and brings it to Umbra. Umbra goes into making his next move.

Melina decides to repay the helpful wolves by not slamming them along with the assassin and instead uses her strong grip to simply snap his neck...seeing as "great minds think alike." This allows the wolf trapped between the assassins legs to escape. The other wolf simply released his grip. 

 

Good boys...now to find the "real threat."

 

Melina petted the wolves who then seemingly barked in appreciation before reuniting with Umbra. Melina begins to survey the area.

Sounds like a  plan, Pretty Boy! Hook a girl up wit some extra speed!

 

They're not to far from where the others are. Based on where the gun shots came from. 

 

Well that assassin will be on top of us any second. And the snipers are gonna blast every box till we have no cover left. So we'd better move! Ready!?

 

 

Melina, LightFlare and Lucent nod to show they understand. Lucent casts Boon of Swiftness on Melina. Melina sprints from behind her cover and runs toward the Assassin that was deflecting bullets. She closes the gap and draws her arm back hoping to deliver a strong attack. If it connects it will cause the assassin to be stunned and open to another attack.

 

At the same time LightFlare and Umbra flanked by 3 wolves begin moving towards the Snipers. Umbra uses his wolves to pinpoint the snipers locations. One wolf rushes one of the snipers while the other rushes the remaining sniper. The third wolf uses the spiral technique on order to attack the assassin fighting Anwalt.

Heh...

 

The portal closes as the blade goes through and reopens over the assassins new position as the axe comes flying back out like a spear at the assassins back. Simultaneously Umbra pulls back the chain and tries to swing it towards the assassins legs in an effort to capture them or distract him.

The second wolf is relentless and immediately goes for the leg of the assassin. Meanwhile, Melina quickly recovers from her missed attack and tries to use her small window of opportunity to grab the assassin from the back with her arm around his neck. If successful she will slam him to the ground on his head.

Having been healed, Melina quickly does aerial role and perched on top of a box not targeted by the enemy. She pushes of the box and executes a flying kick at the back of the assassins head. If it connects she will follow up with a heavy hitting combo.

Anwalt rushes the one of the other assassins with a hook punch that can apply a weakpoint if it connects.

LightFlare uses the the leaping strike technique to place himself between Lilith and the boxes. LightFlare uses the boxes behind him to block him from the enemy snipers.

 

 

LightFlare as he hits the ground he does not use his elbow strike but instead uses the energy pillar attack from before. This time however the pillars do not surround him but instead raise in front of him intending to block the orbs from Lilith.

Umbra motions for the the assassin to come closer. As he doing so, the portal behind the assassin suddenly moves toward the assassins back. If it reached the assassin he could swallowed up by the portal. Umbra could also see Lilith out the corner of his eye.

Anwalt eyes suddenly open wide as he grabs a large piece of the floor near him, spins around and tosses it at the Assassin blocking Raina's attack like a shot puck. He uses rhe momentum from his spin to roll behind a box nearby. His hope is to damage the assassin enough for him to lose control of Raina's attack as well.

Lucent, Umbra and LightFlare see Lilith coming and quickly spread out avoiding the attack. 

 

Guys! I've got a couple blood thirsty assassins licking thier chops over here! Can you do something about "Miss Glowy Eyes?"

 

Umbra quickly summons two portals and two wolves come out like drills at the the wounded assassin. 

 

(The move she used back at The Bottom. A variation of the Misogi. You get more interesting by the minute, Lilith.)

Of course. Can you stay conscious long enough to finish these guys..."hero?"

 

Guess there's only one way to find out..."pretty boy."

LightFlare stamps the ground and fires a flaming Light Burst at Lilith as Lucent heals Melina.

Umbra uses the chain on the end of the axe to pull it back towards him catching the taunting assassin and impaling the back of his head with the blade of the axe while continuing to pull the axe back.

Just as the assassin gets close with his attack, Umbra opens a portal in front of him and a second portal near Lucent. The remaining 3 wolves circle around maintaining their spiral attack. One heads for the back of the assassin attacking Umbra, one spins toward the assassin attacking Lucent and one attacks the assassin leaping at Melina.

LightFlare knew he would be exposed oncs he landed and quickly roles while firing a Light Burst and takes cover, narrowly avoiding being shot.

Umbra summons 5 portals in front of the approaching spider bots, while holding his axe in front of his body. Five wolves come spiraling out toward the bots. Whether they connect or not, they will continue on to try and impale the approaching assassin as well.

Melina suddenly leaps from behind cover and executes an advancing kick that swings wide targeting 5 of the spider bots while allowing her to continue moving forward towards another box for cover.

 

 

Anwalt quickly runs out and stomps the ground creating a large wall of rock and concrete that attacks the spiders while simultaneously shielding him from any attacks from his front.

 

Now the real fight begins...Lucent! Where is the sniper!?

 

Just ahead. Across the building. Looks closely...

 

Lucent describes the snipers position to LightFlare. He looks and notices the sniper...

 

 

(There you are...)

 

LightFlare leaps into the air and almost instantly lands delivering a fatal blow to the Sniper and eliminating him from the round.

 

(Ah...i see...) Raina! There's one more sniper I could see! If you can find a clear shot, take it! But just make sure the other enemies don't intercept your shot!

 

Lucent tells Raina where he saw the other sniper and casts Chill Focus on Raina. Her next attacks will have 100% accuracy.
