  1. What's your top 3 favorite fighting games?

What are some of your hobbies outside of Mugen?

If you could have 1 question answered with absolute certainty what would it be?

Ooo, that's a tough one. I guess my 3 favorites (from most favorite to least) are

    - Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (I was introduced to the MvC franchise here. I love the music, colors, announcer, and a lot more)

    - Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors for GBA (Lots of nostalgia and one of my very 1st fighting games)

    - Tekken 6 (I like the gameplay, music, etc. It's really fun.)

Outside of Mugen, I like to game, eat, and mess around with my computer. Sometimes I code for fun. I really don't have many hobbies.

I would like to know what the true meaning of life is. It might be a generic answer, but I've been pondering it lately. I'm uncertain if what we do is worth anything since eventually we'll eventually... you know.....

    Favorite beverage?

    Preferred way of clothing?

Cherry Coka Cola. A standard banana milkshake comes close.

I really don't mind clothing. As long as it's not too tight or fancy, I'm fine. Although I like silly t-shirts, sweaters, and anything with the color red.

  2. How'd you discover Mugen, and this site?

I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T SEE YOUR POST!

A couple of years ago (maybe 2013 or so), I saw a video, I think it was a top 10? Anyway, the guy mentioned "Mugen." I was curious, so I did some searching and found a channel named "Mugenlord." I then looked for forums and I found this site. The rest is history.

    Favorite number?

    69. No, seriously.

  3. Thanks for the wonderful opportunity, RMH! I owe ya one, bro!

    Is your name Klein?

I wish. I'll just have to stick with boring ol' Chris.

Do you want fries with that Burgie?

If you could make anything for MUGEN, what would it be?

    1. Yes, please!

    2. I would love to make an SvK styled Wii Fit Trainer. She would have options to play as multiple styles. Don't like SvK? No problem! There are options to play with her in PotS style, SF3, KOF 2002, UMvC3, etc. Sortof like Akuma by Mr. Ansatsuken, where before the fight, you could choose how you want him to play. I have a lot of ideas right now. Someday, I hope to actually try my hand at creating things.

    Do you watch Vinesauce?

Nope, but I wouldn't mind being introduced to this. I don't even know what it is, but it sounds cool.

  4. I don't know how into psych you are, but Paul Bloom (link's a fun watch) is well known in the field.   There's are some great discussions between him and Sam Harris (a neuroscientist, philosopher, and sort of atheist pundit), one about empathy, and one about "the dark side".

Common problems with characters... the most obvious common problem is horrifically placed clsn boxes.  Second is misaligned anims / sprites.  But for the coding, and this imo is by far the hugest problem: nothing is labeled.  There are no notes.  As simple as that seems, what it means is the original coder has to hold everything in their memory, and as the character progresses it just becomes more and more of a tangled knot of code.  It gets easier and easier to overlook things and mess things up.  Simultaneously it gets harder and harder to go back and integrate, fix or update things that are already "finished".  Soooo many problems in the code, bugs etc, spring directly from this one simple thing that anyone with any level of skill can do.

I have considered it yes, but don't have any in the works.  That's usually incredibly easy to do as well.  Just a few lines of code need updating from deprecated parameters or something.

Edit's I'm most proud of: Spawn and Duke Nukem.  Those got the most amount of work, and they're really where I figured out the ins and outs of coding characters.

Thanks for the psych resources! I might check it out when I have some free time :)

I also love your Duke and Spawn. They're in my rosters currently.

    1. Do you like robots more or monkeys more?

    2. Favorite dessert?

  5.

    2. Favorite Topics besides video games:  Language, art technique, music technique, philosophy, logic, ethics, religions / non-religion, psychology, sociology, political / economic theory, anatomy / nutrition (studied in Manhattan), ancient Greece, I like dabbling in physics and chemistry, and a little bit of sacred geometry... non-video game design (working on a few at the moment).  I don't know, I just love learning and creating really.  Sam Harris has been a pretty big inspiration lately, along with  Harvards Justice course on You-Tube.

Wow, I'm actually taking a psychology class in college for this semester.

When editing a character, what are some common problems you come across? (Examples, misaligned sprites, debug flood, etc.)

  6. I remember I when I watched this anime. Probably one of the first times I saw a nipple in an anime. Good times....... I remember I liked the lady with the orange hair (Rei, was it?). Saeko was cool, but I had a thing for the redhead.

Yo mah mans. what would happen if Frank West or Leon S Kennedy were in the show?

That sounds like a good idea if it was a little OVA or a cameo or something. I'd actually be pretty excited to see something like that happen.

  7. Plus it makes more since because cross means a 4 way split in direction. so with Nintendo involve it means we have 4 different dimensions/worlds in this game to play through. dealing with things related to Namco/Bandai, Capcom, Sega, and NIntendo. :goodmood:

Laying down the technicalities, I see. I like it!

Now that you mention it, it makes perfect sense. Plus this game and its predecessor are being hosted on a Nintendo console/handheld.

I hope we get to see more Nintendo characters soon! Just imagine someone like Bowser or Ganon as a boss unit!

  8. The hardest aspect is pushing through the repetitive parts, batch processing sprites, loading them etc.  Once that stuffs done, the creative coding part is actually fun.
I've actually never made a character from the ground up tho.  The Wario I'm doing now began as an edit that was just so damn fun to work on that he pretty much just 'became' a completely new character over the course of about 5 months.  He's just about entirely fresh code at this point  (90% + or so), so I'm trying to answer from a stance of "knowing how to make a character.".

    Interesting answer. :)

    1. What's your opinion on the K.I. franchise? Which one do you like the most?

    2. Which one of Wario's hypers are you most excited about/is your favorite so far?

  9. Thanks Bud ................

to Everyone else, as of right now im Retired from Palette Creating, ive lost my drive to do it , sorry, im sure ill be back sooner rather than later

    No problem.

I've been feeling the same way. Zero motivation at all to do ANYTHING. Its the shitty-est feeling in the word.

I've felt this feeling before, so I totally understand you guys. Of course, it goes without saying that you can take all the time you need. Thanks to both of you for the amazing palettes already. Also, thanks for those tutorials, Batros. Thanks to you, I made my first palettes! Hope you guys can get out of that feeling soon. Trust me, it sucks when you're unmotivated to do anything.

  10. I had trouble taking that thing down. Whitney's Miltank gives me Vietnam flashbacks.

If Miltank could Mega Evolve, would it just grow another udder?

  11. Last year, Jetgoshi requested a Sceptile portrait as a birthday present of sorts. He released Sceptile (well, Dylan did) last month.

This year, he requested a Haxorus portrait.

    Who knows? :P

Thanks for the wonderful news, Chomp! :p

also I would like to see conversions of newgrounds rumble characters, I know alloy was already made by ryouwin but I would like to see the others made as well especially pico.

I'm very glad that I'm not the only one who wants more Newgrounds Rumble characters.
