  1. 'That feels better,' Raina thought. The shrinemaiden now felt at top shape. "Hi there!" Raina said.
  2. Candor City Slums Sasuke had exchanged some of his Ryo for the local currency - Zeni - after some time. While Ryo wasn't used anywhere in Candor City's country, they had measures in place for foreign currency. Sasuke had discovered that Candor got a lot of visitors with foreign money, so they were used to situations like this. With a hundred zeni, he should possess enough money to pay whatever entry fee the 'Warrior's Hangout' had. There he'd hopefully find some more information about this place... Sasuke sensed a presence to his left and looked, only to find nothing there... As tempting as it was to pursue, Sasuke decided that it'd be best to go to the Warrior's Hangout. ----------------------- The Assassin withdrew. After meeting with the outsider swordsman at that bar, he'd grown interested. This was the most recent outsider to arrive in Candor. Both he and his boss had arrived many months ago from the outside world, while that silver-haired woman was much more recent. While that woman had been hostile to the Knights of the Forsaken, perhaps the black-haired swordsman could be persuaded to join, or at least be neutral in the upcoming fight... after all, someone who could see through his Presence Concealment was at least a little interesting, and Assassin sensed power from him. He'd be a strong fighter for the Knights if he joined... He changed into a disguise, taking the look he'd been using most often recently - a shady-looking man who had information on just about everything in the slums and contacts in all the right places. Interestingly, there was almost no reaction to his entry into the bar. Normally there'd be at least a little reaction to a guy like him entering the room, but almost everyone was focused on the TVs that the bar had. "... unclear who exactly is responsible for the attack on the airship. Reports are already coming in of casualties, however..." An airship raid, huh? It looked like it was just a bunch of rich people getting robbed, but with the way everyone in the bar was watching... "What's going on here?" he asked someone. "There's somethin' goin' on with that airship," one brute replied. "Some of those rich folk can fight though," another added. Interesting... The Airship, somewhere between Candor and Kalos City "You guys still sure about fighting?" Raina asked the pirate minions. Maybe now they'd be persuaded to surrender. If none were still up to fighting her, Raina would likely help Lucent and Anwalt with the pirate bosses - taking down the leaders would ensure the defeat of the raid. All that'd be left would be that red man who'd fought Umbra...
  3. With the Pirate on the right knocked out, Raina aimed a kick at the nearest pirate, which would knock him backwards, possibly hitting his fellow Pirate if he hasn't moved.
  4. Locking onto the rightmost Pirate, Raina went forward, hitting him with three uppercuts. "Stars and Stripes!" "Yeah, I've got things handled over here." 'What's going on over there?' Raina thought. Whatever it was, it was clearly against the Pirates. 'Lucent, is that you over there?'
  5. Though Raina planned to deal with the stunned pirates from earlier, her focus was turned towards the ones now charging toward her. Raina tossed an array of needles towards the charging pirates, which would inflict sharp pains if they struck.
  6. "I'll keep things contained," Raina said. She summoned a couple small orbs - they'd be little more than pinpricks to a tough guy like Anwalt or Lightflare, but to normal people, they'd be an effective stunning tool. She threw these orbs at three pirates to the right of the group, if they hit, Raina would follow up with melee attacks.
  7. Raina came back down. "Umbra was facing off against someone earlier, probably one of the attackers." With the arrival of the rest of the pirates, any attempt to help Umbra would have to wait. These guys might be pretty tough, if only because of their numbers. "Before we start, any of you want to surrender?" Raina doubted any of them were gonna accept the offer, but still good to offer, right? Besides, if any of them were smart, they'd be convinced later.
  8. Raina didn't say anything, but rose into the air, hoping to find whatever had hit the ship. Looking in the distance, there were a couple more groups of attackers causing trouble, but the one scene that stuck out. "Who's that guy Umbra's fighting?" Raina charged up an orb, much like before in the fight against Anwalt... she just needed a good shot at Umbra's foe...
  9. TThe airship's sudden stop brought concern to Raina, which was shared by Lucent and Anwalt. They clearly weren't at Candor City, which meant that this stop... "I've got a bad feeling about this," Raina said, a set of needles appearing in her hand.
  10. "That sounds pretty exciting!" Raina replied. Looking over the edge and seeing the landscape was a much different experience than flying. Besides, if this inspired Lucent to make something nice, that worked out really well.
  11. With everyone else heading up to the deck, it made sense to accompany them up. '4 Hours to Candor City, huh?' Raina thought...
  12. Having been invited to the truffles, Raina grabbed one and took a bite. "Wow! This is pretty good." Raina was surprised that Lucent could bake so well. He hadn't seemed the type to do so.
  13. Once Raina got on the airship, she found a wall to lean on and meditated on her thoughts for a bit. Her companions were discussing how Umbra and Lucent had interacted, and they all seemed to be on Lucent's side in all this. Had Umbra gone too far? Maybe. If that was his approach to solving all their problems, it could very easily lead to trouble for not just him, but the rest of the party. Maybe she'd have to ask how Lucent and Anwalt met Umbra. Maybe that'd shed some light onto things... until then though. "Say, Anwalt, where are the rooms we're staying at?" Raina asked.
  14. Slums, Candor City Sasuke Uchiha's had learned quite a bit about Candor, despite his recent arrival. It seemed that this city, like Amegakure, would soon be beset by internal troubles. Normally, Sasuke wouldn't want to get too involved - his intention was to create a low profile for himself - but with his inability to portal out of Candor, he may have to get involved sooner or later. He needed to know why he'd been trapped in this way, after all. Asking around might lead him to the information he needs. After talking with that shady man in the bar, he'd had another talk with an officer, who'd given his own view on the Knights. He'd been very positive about them, how they'd helped reduce crime in the slums. He'd also mentioned how few officers there were to patrol the slums, leading to crime becoming a problem before the Knights showed up. Sasuke had asked where he could exchange some currency and recieved a couple adresses, one within the slums and a few outside of it, in the main town. Hopefully he could exchange some of the spare Ryo for whatever the local money was... ???, Candor City BGM: Dark Clouds to Clear A woman sat at a computer desk, located within a former office building. It'd once been a bustling business, but its location in the slums eventually made the owners seek a new location. Still, the building remained, and now had new "ownership". Legally it was under a certain James Artenborough, but he'd been turned into a puppet of her new ally. Sometimes sacrifices were necessary for the greater good. When she'd found herself in this world several months ago, she'd been disgusted to see this world infested with monsters that threatened to vanquish humanity. Like Fantasia, humankind had to stick to cities, having to travel in large groups just to remain safe. The forests between even major cities were unsafe. It'd taken some time to get used to using the technology of this world, but now she could hardly get enough of it. The amount of information she could obtain was frightening. When the time was right, she and her partner would become the heroes this world required - finally, humanity would be free. On a whim, she went to an image-sharing website, perhaps there'd be something amusing there. She saw a picture of a girl flying around a city. Wearing red, white, and blue. Blonde hair. "Raina..." That damned shrinemaiden. She hadn't seen logic the last time they'd fought, almost a year ago. Claudia Interitia had intended to save the humans of Fantasia from ever losing any more of their number to the monsters and demons that roamed the realm, but Raina hadn't seen it that way. Worse, she'd allied with that damn Thunderbird as well. Raina and one of those monsters had fought to keep the status quo. Now though, Raina was alone. "This time Raina, I will win. Hopefully, I'll prove the truth of my views."
  15. With the full introduction of Umbra as well as Lilith’s arrival, Raina followed the rest of the party onto the airship. Umbra... well, James back home would probably liken him to a troll, but he seemed like he had Anwalt and Lucent’s best interests in mind, if an ‘unusual’ manner of seeking them out. He’d Probably get along with Gertrude back home, given her penchant for causing trouble.
  16. Once Raina reconvened with the rest of the party, her attention was turned towards the argument between Anwalt and another person with an axe. Anwalt seemed to know this person well, so presumably he was an ally. "Who's that guy with you, Anwalt? A friend of yours?" (@Agni Blackheart)
  17. "You're welcome!" With Raina's shopping trip done, she now went to head towards the airship terminal, bag in hand. The fact that the flight was earlier than expected was a bit unexpected, but it'd probably be fine. Once she saw the size of the airship though, she couldn't believe it. "Woah!" Raina hadn't expected vehicles could come in that size!
  18. Raina walked up and placed her goods. Several new outfits were nice, though unfortunately they didn't have anything quite like her unique outfit. A bag to carry it all as well.
  19. 'Well that's early,' Raina thought. The shrinemaiden got into line with Penny and Melina, waiting for the younger girl's own purchase to be done.
  20. Raina's eyes seem to light up at the site of the bags. Oh this would be so great right now. Counting up her several outfits and the bag, she had enough money thanks to the prize money from earlier. She'd got the outfits she wanted and a bag to help carry all the spare clothes, it was about time to pay.
  21. "Heh, let's take it easy," Raina responded, a smile beginning to form. Raina could already see several outfits she liked. Hopefully the money from winning back in the arena would cover everything she was wanting.
