  1. In celebration of Super Metroid's 30th anniversary, Scepter and I bring you our latest stage! This one takes us to the surface area of Planet Zebes, Crateria, and is styled after Sunsoft's Galaxy Fight.

  2. Hello everyone! Scepter and I are back at it and bringing you our first stages of the year!

First, we have one based on Alien Hominid, inspired by the backgrounds in the King of Fighters games.

Next is one based on Ridge Racer, in the style of Waku Waku 7. This one comes in six variants: Day, Sunset, Night, and all 3 versions with a CRT effect. Big shout-out to Delta Brony for commissioning this one!

Also, for anyone using 1.0, the CRT effect is going to look different due to limitations of that version of Mugen

As always, we hope you enjoy!

  3. I had hopes a few years ago to start doing stage edits, but never really took off with that idea. Recently, I got inspired to do another edit and decided to make a thread for them, should I get the kick to edit more.

    Latest:
    Bridge Zone, Originally by WF4123

The original stage was very bare-bones, but I felt there was a base for something good there so I started making adjustments and adding stuff. I have a soft spot for the 8-bit versions of Sonic 1, and Bridge Zone is one of the stand-out zones from them (mostly for its great music).

I did these edits years ago during one of my many Skyrim kicks. Always been fond of these ones and wanted to update them for 1.1, while giving a couple touch-ups here and there.

  4. The time has come for another stage release from Scepter and I! This one's based on the fantastic reboot of a Sunsoft classic, Blaster Master Zero. The stage includes a nod to the original Blaster Master's intro and cycles through areas from the second game in the Zero Trilogy.

And, as always, we hope you enjoy!

  5. It's been longer than I had hoped, but I've updated the stage!

    - Stage now includes separate def files for each time of day
    - Changed the music file to ogg
    - Lowered the characters position on screen
    - Added a transparent effect to the mushroom
    - Removed shadows

Also, after getting some help from PotS regarding animated assets with parallax, I've been trying out adding parallax to Scepter and I's older stages.

    Spoiler

Unfortunately, it's not very noticeable on the Studiopolis stage due to how the floor is on that stage.

  6. Duke it out on the training course from the Super Mario Bros. movie in Scepter and I's latest stage! The stage cycles through three different backgrounds, imitating a montage like in the film, and comes with an 8-bit rendition of Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out for a Hero".

  7. The worlds of Pizza Tower and Tower of Heaven collide in Scepter and I's latest stage! The stage is meant to mimic the demo of an arcade machine, with a scoreboard appearing throughout the fight. The version for 1.0 has a few differences from the 1.1 version, due to some limitations with 1.0.

  8. With the release of Metroid Prime Remastered, Scepter got the idea to do a stage based on the Parasite Queen boss fight. The stage comes in three versions: One from Samus' perspective, one where she's in Morph Ball form, and a plain version without Samus or HUD elements.

Make sure to use the 1.0 version if you're using IKEMEN, as the zoom there doesn't work right with the visor/HUD effects. Ikemen has since been updated and this is no longer an issue!
