  1. Well I don't mind cheap characters but this is the BAD kind of cheap. The cheap because it's full of shitty bugs and problems not because it was supposed to be cheap.

Also time to make fun of Wlan again: "YOU'RE RUINING MY CREATIONS! IMMA TELL THE ADMINS SO THAT YOU CAN'T INSULT MY CREATIONS ANYMORE BECAUSE I'M A BIG STUPID BABY! WAAAAAAH!"

I'm sorry but I just can't help it.

  2. Yep. Seanalty made it and it's awesome. It uses Jason Griffiths voices by default. So if you don't like Griffiths, there's this as an alternative. There's also voice packs for Jaleel White and Roger Craig Smith. In fact, the only voice actors I can think of that haven't been made yet are Junichi Kanemaru, Sonic's Japanese actor, and the actor for Sonic in Sonic OVA. (and his japanese actor in OVA if you wanna get nitpicky about it.)

  3. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?33pwhx43f0gf1rr Yep, the voice pack for Ryan Drummand, Sonic's first game voice actor from Sonic Adventure - Sonic Heroes is here.

The voices come from Sonic Heroes PC. I ripped some of them myself. A majority of them were ripped by a guy called HermtheGerm and given to me by request though. The ones that I ripped are the ones contained in bank3e and were kinda difficult to get but I got them through a Goldwave tutorial.

If you want the voice resource I have, just ask and I'll upload it and make a thread in the resources section or something.

Anyway, regarding the voice pack. Feedback on things such as voice volume and oddly placed voices is appreciated. I think I ironed out most of the issues before release but if you catch something, don't hesitate to tell me. Thanks.

Regarding some of the voices, I tried my best to get them to match with Griffith's voices.

Also, let me know if there's something wrong with the download like the file not working or something. I had a little trouble uploading and I want to make sure it works okay and wasn't corrupted in the process.

  4. speaking of mewtwos, I released a rather shitty edit of Omegabros' Mewtwo. All it really has that's new is Flamethrower, resized sprites and readjusted collision. The sprites are godawful though. I cancelled the edit for that reason.

  5. I actually like it a little. It's not like the most visually impressive thing in the world but it gets the job done and at least it has scrolling layers which is good. Also, I'm glad you liked the music track if you want, I can try and do it with the other stages. (I'll need a screenshot and the midi so I can set the mood though.)

  6. @Ryon: Laharl was going to give feedback last I checked.

Also, I want to apologize to you Animaraz. I probably should have been a bit nicer. I guess I could be nice by giving a little advice. Good characters take a while to complete. From what I understand, you've been releasing a character once a day. That's not good. On average a good character takes a good while (for some it's a month, others two months, and for some a year, really depends upon motivation and skill.) to make.

I understand if there's a bit of a language barrier here but I'm sure one of our spanish speaking forum members could help translate. We have quite a few actually.

  7. Yeah, most of the pokemon characters are either godawful, unfinished, or shitty spriteswaps. The ones by most Japanese creators are coded well but generally overpowered. An exception being the Pokeball by GooGoo64. (he's considered a disgrace even by his fellow Japanese authors believe it or not.) another exception is that Entei by Otto. It's a one sprite overpowered character. Otto's Unown isn't much better either. (though it was a little creative in terms of what he did with it even if it did make it overpowered as a result.)

I actually made a note in the original pokemon thread (I used to run the pokemon thread but the collection got so huge I couldn't keep up and left the community for a while for unrelated reasons. when I returned somebody else was put in charge.) that many of the characters are bad and would disappoint you.

  8. @Glisp: You are making a Mewtwo?  How cool!  I am looking forward to that!

I said I shitcanned it. Which means it's cancelled. It was a crappy edit of the Omegabros Mewtwo anyway. Besides, we have Megashock's Mewtwo which is awesome. (but in need of some AI because it sucks with the default one.)

  9. Fun fact about the Sunset Park Act 3 theme. It actually was originally in Sonic Chaos. (the previous game gear Sonic title in that series and also the first main series Game Gear game with Tails playable.) The version of the track in Sonic Chaos is unused and uses different instruments though.

Here's the Sonic Chaos version btw:

The only way to hear this unused version in game is to activate the sound test code and listen to it from there. Also, kind of unrelated but Sonic can do a Hadoken in the Sonic Chaos sound test. (if anybody wants to see that just let me know. It's kind of offtopic though so I'll only do it if it's okay with JDM)

Anyway, my apologies if I kinda went off topic. Sonic Triple Trouble was like my favorite Sonic Game Gear games growing up though... As for the stages, I love them. There's not much else I can say about them. Sorry but they're so great I have nothing to say. Well actually, there is one thing. Sunset Park Act 3 was missing the BGM slot. Instead, Shadow was listed twice in the stage code. Figured I'd mention that in case JDM wanted to fix it. The other levels seem to be okay though.
